Subject: E-mail campaign
This message is basically for J. Scott Pittman (whom I believe is setting
up the e-mail campaign.)

I was wondering what style and tone are you planning on? Dark, comedic,
standard (i.e. plot as presented in the books), Shadoloo campaign?

Also, are there limits to what kinds of characters you'd accept.

I'm asking all this before hand before I even attempt to design a character
(saves a bit of time).

Subject: Re: E-mail campaign
The campaign would be a serious one based in a dark, gothic world, of
course, just like the books present. Street Fighting is a well known, but
illegal sport (in he USA at least, but there is legislation in the works to
try to make street fighting a legal sport).
Although this will be a dark world, almost any type of character is
possible. I think that is what makes Street Fighter such a great game, all
the strange types of characters available.
Characters should be "official" characters, any that could be created with
the released material. I will accept any character, but such characters need
an interesting background and please include how freebie points were spent.
Try to make the characters interesting, they dont have to be realistic,
though. "Power" characters may not be accepted unless they have a great
background (Marakan the animal hybird with cybernetics and an elemental
power or two will need a GREAT background, for example).
Anyway, I'm needing new characters from everyone before we get going...

Welcome Josh!
Don't listen to MIKE! He just sits there high and mighty and complains
whenever I start spamming the list.
Then there are other problem characters on here like Chris Hoffman, who
can't take a joke and refuses to admit that he's Canadian. I think that he's
just ashamed say it.
Then we got Rinaldo over there who's rigging fights to make a fourtune on
the side in the Underground Brizilian RPG playoffs.
There's also guys here like Steve Karas.....kaestnatns....restansanas
<whatever> that don't know nothin' about the Official rules, and only give
garbage input.
We also have some really lame PC's on here like Thunder or Static or
sumthin, that couldn't win in a fight against a target dummy.

And there's this annoying kid Andy who always gives bad advice and can't
ever crack a joke for the life of him.
His personal hygine has been discribed as.....

What was this letter about again?

Hello everyone.

It's been awhile since anyone has heard from me, and that is due to some
personal matters that have been keeping me away. Now things have calmed
down, and Warrior's Pride is all but ready for release. The .rtf version of
Warrior's Pride #1 is ready, but the .txt version isn't. I want them to be
released at the same time, so it will probably be two or three more days. If
no one needs the .txt version, then I would be happy to release just the
.rtf version, so I would like to know what everyone thinks. I'm sorry for
the delay, but now Warrior's Pride should be released every month without
delay.

You can have it, go to a page named Street Fighter Ultra and copy the dice
generator, I pick up it there. Hey, I don´t make the fighters (except npc´s) if
the player have only a tech example punch for a boxer or grab for a wrestler I
think the damages will be higher.

Well, I can't speak French, so I can't be Canadian. Of course, following
that logic I can't be American because I can't speak Spanish. On the
other hand, I speak fluent Fortran, C++, Pascal, and HTML, so maybe I'm a
netizen (net denizen). Either that or I'm a refugee from Mainframe.

Well, Gokiwa has a good dex, not superhuman by any stretch of the
imagination, but good for a nonhybrid, noncyber character. Combos help
to.
Maybe you should have warned Tom about his one hit KO.

Though it shames me to admit it, I did make a character like that once.

One of the many that I have to see. But that's ok, I have a general idea

hey everybody,
I know I'm way behind the times, but you guys generate so many messages
it pretty much takes a day off of work to catch up.
everyones been pretty good at spotting the errors in the email friendly
fights (which is a great way to discuss rules interpretations) and wthout
trying to jump on rinaldo (whose hard work is much appreciated) I'd like to
ask about one of mr. military's recent battles (sadly I deleted most of that
stuff from my in-box and cant say exactly which one). I thought a sweep (or
crouching) maneuver used against a jumping (or ariel) maneuver cancelled each
other out? if anything the rules seem to imply the ariel fighter can be
affected after his maneuver is complete, while the crouching fighter cannot
be affected at all. I figure timing could be crucial in a team combat where
interrupts can be crucial, but in a one-on-one isnt the round the equivalent
of a miss?

thanks in advance

This message is basically for J. Scott Pittman (whom I believe is
setting
up the e-mail campaign.)

I was wondering what style and tone are you planning on? Dark, comedic,
standard (i.e. plot as presented in the books), Shadoloo campaign?

Also, are there limits to what kinds of characters you'd accept.

I'm asking all this before hand before I even attempt to design a
character
(saves a bit of time).

I picked up the StreetFighter Alpha 3 Strategy Guide. I dont know why
exactly, but I kind of like it. It has what the fighters have been up to
since their last appearance. If anybody wants I can type them up and send
them to the list. Theyre about a page long each, but I can do one a day if

>How rare do you want the focus maneuvers/Hybrid/Cyber/other weird stuff?

I'll decide how rare they are depending on the types of characters
received... anything is possible. The campaign will be one where such
abilities are suprising, but accepted... if someone shoots a fireball from
his hands, people wont think hes a god, they will simply be amazed and state
something like "I thought things like that were just rumors" or "I heard
about people who could do that, but I didn't think they were real!"
In other words, punks won't (normally) have such powers, most of them will
never have seen anything like it... but other streetfighters will.

>Just making sure, do you have all the books? And are you allowing the
>Cartwheel Kick (PLEASE GOD NO!)?

I have all the books and the screen (big grin). The cartwheel kick is a good
question. I want to run an "offical" game, but at the same time, the
cartwheel kick is deadly to say the least, and easy to aquire.
I'm going to hold off on an answer to this one until someone can direct me
to that conversation with the game creator who was interviewed about the
Cartwheel Kick... where was that article? Wasn't it posted on the web
somewhere?

>Though it shames me to admit it, I did make a character like that once.

Sad.

She as judo student have only grab, and she is not weak and plus back roll
throw a powerfull manuver minus only stamina, I admit she got lucky. The dice
generator is okay I make a series of tests with him and I see low numbers and
high numbers ramdomic order, this luck only luck.

You play a mean WHO? Never heard of em'. I'd prefer a "copycat" character.
one very similar to the character you want to play, but not an actual
adaptation of the real character... although something could have happened,
like the other character came through a dimensional portal, and while he was
here something happened and he was cloned, and the new character could be
his clone, therefore looking just like him... he might even have been
taught a maneuver or two from the actual "real" character before he went
back to his own universe, and therefore wears the same type of clothing and
uses the same style and similar maneuvers... just a thought...

Steve's got it on his page somewhere, and to point out his journalistic

Hey, that brings up a question. Has anyone refused a challenge yet?

Been wondering that meself. On the one hand there's all the problems
physical dice have, like having them fall on the floor when rolling a 22
damage dice test (8 str and technique vs. a one stamina).

On the other hand, dice make a very dandy bludgeon when put into a solid
baggie. Hit someone on the back of the head, they fall, take their
wallet... not that I endorse such tactics of financial assention. (Word a
day calendars, got to love them).

Trees You guys had trees? We never dreamed of such things. There was just
rock, and not even rocks on the ground, just one big ol' piece of rock. And
we had to learn to beat our heads to cut rock pretty quick, cause we died of
dehydration pretty fast, cause there wern't no water. And yeah we had heads,
but they wern't like heads today, they were just big ol' nerve clusters that
only registered pain, wich was really bad cause we couldn't eat either, not
that we had ever heard of eating, and the rock was spikey everywhere you
went, except where it turned into molten lava, which we fell into on a
regular basis. But we were thankful.
