Group: streetfighter Message: 3806 From: cliff rice Date: 11/19/1999
Subject: home rules.
Here are some house rules we use

Breaking combos
Normally all hits of a combo are directed to one
opponent and you cant switch targets in the middle of
the combo unless you spend one extra power point in
which case you can break your combo up among any
number of opponents. Eg Ryu has a jab-jab-jab combo
and is fighting two thugs ryu jabs one thug but if he
wants to keep using the combo he must keep hitting
that thug and not the other, But if he has the braking
combo he can switch to the other thug and still ceep
the bonus, Any combo which has a ranged attack
automaticly counts as a broken combo for that part of
the attack only.

Guard Crush Combo
If your combo has a total number of hits which are
more than the block technique of your opponent any
extra hits are considered unblocked and the opponent
dose not get the +2 speed bonus next round.

Inishitive
In the games chunli dosenot allways beat out zangeifs
speed even though by thr rules she will all the time
so to simulate this roll a D10 and add the speed of
the manuver to the roll, the person with the highest
will go first. Not 0nly dose this still keep combat
fast but it also makes it fair.

Cliff

flaw rules
Extra backgrounds: Cybrogs (yes) Elementals (Yes) Hybrids (No), see you

This is fine with me, running the same characters that are I the
tournaments... but I will need to have the character's statistics. Some
might think that an unfair thing to do, as my character fights in the
tournament also. However, I will not change my 10/20 move strategy based on
any character's statistics.

Subject: Re: where do submit my character?
That's right cliff. Just send your character to Rinaldo at:
rinaldo@...
and a 10 and 20 move strategy (one for 10 rounds, the other for 20 rounds,
depending on how long the tournament lasts. The character must be an
"offical" character, and although he has not disallowed it, Rinaldo prefers
you do not use cybernetics, elementals or animal hybirds. I think you can if
you really, really, want to though. Characters should include a character
description, and an opening quote and a quote the character will use if he
wins (winning quote).
Once there, you will have the option of challenging other fighters from
the list. However, we are still in the testing stage - so far none of these
fights "count" (which is too bad, I'm 3 for 3 and one cancel due to rules
problems - had to brag)

Group: streetfighter Message: 3818 From: Dylan Downing Date: 11/19/1999
Subject: A quick question and a general statement.
For the first time in a few weeks I've got the energy, free time, and
something to post to this group.

My question is thus: is there an actual naming of Sodom's fighting style.
Chris H. has the style named in the work he has done, and I'm wondering if
this was fictional or if the style was actually named (and if so, where?)

As for the statement... don't wait a week or so to pick up the messages
from this group. I don't recommend it, not unless you have a huge amount
of free time. :)

I was so impressed by the statements made about thrash, that I found it and
downloaded it. It's good, but legendary? I didn't think so, but that's my
opinion. Seems like a heavily modified Street Fighter game. I'll stick with
the original.

elementals don´t have problems and yes that monster Andy´s brother is a animal
hybrid and cyborg you imagine the monster.

Well, Sodom's normally just listed as having a variety of styles
listed...Ninjitsu, Kendo, and sometimes Sumo are listed.
But as to whether or not Chris' Style is official, he'd have to be asked
himself.
I personaly like the sound of that style, and I think i"ll incorporate it
into my games.

propose something.

Also does anyone know where I could perhaps pick up contenders and the
shadowloo book? I've been looking for them I've heard they are out of
print...

[I see a few problems with this that would need to be resolved. The
idea is verycool but these things *WOULD* need to be taken care of.

first: Who keeps track of character sheets, xp, glory and honor? Or
would this all be "on your honor"? Somehow I don't know if I like the
idea of that.

second: Die rolls during the fight? Again on your honor?

Third: How long must each person respond (and take their turn) before
they forfiet their move?

I have a problem about time, if you make a on-line campaign I can´t play or help
with a good sequence, because I can´t connect in the net and use internet all
the time, because this I ask to you to make a new history and the tournament and
the history on their own ways, sorry for this (I don´t pay the bills at home).

Subject: Re: Fighters quote.
Well, ok then, that settles it. I will run a campaign over the net. I will
allow any character that could be designed with the original 5 books.
Players must send thier character to me, including a description of thier
character and a background. Please include how you spent your freebie
points, as I will check to make sure each character is official.
When the characters enter a battle, the battle will take place in turns.
lease respond to the latest turn when that mail is received. The subject of
the e-mail returned from turn 1 should be Re: Turn 1, for example. When I
have all the results for turn 1, I will post round 2, etc.
Characters should also include a "missed battle turn" action, dexcribing
the most likely action taken in battle should the player not be able to
return e-mail. New turns will be posted by me whenever possible, usualy one
per day. All dice rolls will be made by me.
Tournaments will be part of the story, of course, so a 20-round battle
plan should also be included with any character, similar to Rinaldo's
tournament.
If you have any questions, or a character to submit, please e-mail me at
joespitt@...
