My experience in the past has always been that the spammers unsubscribe
themselves before we can get to unsubscribing them. If this gets bad enough
we could always moderate the subscription of new members, but I haven't
really felt this necessary at this point.

I'd suggest that this person enter the streetfighting
circuit as a way to earn money. I know I'd pay to see
this guy knocked around.

Sounds pretty interesting.
Some of my favorite campaigns also didn't really have anything to do
with tournaments or tournament minded characters.

What martial arts do you study?

welcome new ppl, good to have you.

How long have you guys been playing pamela and jim?

Who's your favorite character you've played pamela? (I think jim already
told about his.)
Fav campaign?

Were you mainly a player or storyteller?

Do either of you still play currently? If so are you looking forward to
the new game coming out by www.lrgames.com ?

What other games do yall play?

Just getting some conversation going.

Hey Kids!

How it going? Everything still sucks? Good! Here's are a couple things
for you to do to pass the time untill you die! Yay!

Quick show of hands, how many of you played Final Fight? Uh-huh. And how
many of you read P-Boink? Uh-huuuh. Well then, read this!

http://www.progressiveboink.com/archive/metrocity/metrocity.htm

Good stuff, go often.

Also very fun:

http://www.liquidgeneration.com/quiz/superhero_quiz.asp

And as a last note, there's a new Street Figher game on that R.P.O.L.
Anybody here do that?
Here's the link!:

http://www.rpol.net/rpol/game.cgi?gi=5379&gn=Street+Fighter:+Las+Vegas:+Ressurected&date=1087101662

And here's the pitch!

"Come one! Come all! To the Fabulous city of Las Vegas, where anything can
happen! Dreams are made and broken in this city, but there is excitement
here 24 hours a day! Gambling and Family entertainment can be found all over
this city, but YOU'RE here because you're a Street Fighter.

Effective January 1st, 2004, the Good state of Nevada legalized Street
Fighting. Anyone who wishes to Street Fight in Nevada needs to register with
the Nevada Street Fighting Commission located in the fabulous city of Las
Vegas.

Registration is easy, with many operatives there to help you, even language
translators. Information is provided for all the rules and regulations.
Street Fighters from all over are in line to pay the $1000 for their
license. $1000 you say?! That is nothing to a good Street Fighter in the
gambling city of the World!

When the law passed in January, Fighters from all over the world showed up
to fight, effectively ressurecting Las Vegas from almost certain death..no
thanks to those damn Indian Casinos in California! Glory, Fame, Honor, and
Money can be found here while Street Fighting. But, Hate, Dispair and
Failure is also lurking in the shadows as well. For in these shadows lurks
the presence of organised crime. Are you part of it? Or are you here to stop
it? Welcome to Las Vegas, Ladies and Gents!"

Not really. I've got an amusing character sheet over at
http://eckserver.eckerd.edu/~smithcj/salem.html . It's in
Fuzion, but it wouldn't be that hard to convert it over to
Storyteller.

Assume skill level 3 = 1 dot, 4= two dots, and each point
above that is one more dot. Same for attributes.

Have anyone in here read the Stormriders series? If not, it is HIGHLY

You should really check out the comics series. The story is MUCH
better and the fighting is great ^_^

BTW I've also seen the movie, and I loved it until I started reading
the comics. The movie is a short version of the story.

Is there any material (besides the offical module 'Secrets of

I think your best bet would be to get your hands on some of the Japanese SF Art
books (or scans thereof). While I don't know if there are any descriptions of
Mr. Bison's private country, it seems like the most probable place.

Failing that, there's always fanfics.

Hum.. Staredown.... If I'm not wrong, there's only 2 officia art of the
island (which doesn't have a official name). One illustrates the "map" of
the island in the book (I was kinda shocked that that art was official). The
other is a beach party which we can see Vega/M. Bison's base in the far
background, besides those... I'm not sure if there's any other official art
or info about it. But... in SF: Eternal Challenge, there were those SF2 b &
w picture of the "endings" of each character.... Those were cool!

That would have to be the animation series and/or movies, at least when it
comes to the description part, and probably also when it comes to the
possible adventures part - it might be possible to adapt the plot of the
series if you manage to work around Vega/Bison's Ryu fetish.

Yep!
In SF2V, the Shadaloo base is portrayed as a kind of maze. In
the animation movie, we don't have a description of the base,
but we can say that's pretty huge, possibly that entire
mountain is occupied by the base.

Subject: Some questions about your SF groups
Hi!

This is to fill the list with some Street Fighter related content. I
am curious about your gaming groups, so I created a little survey:

1) Where is the majority of your adventures located?

2) How powerful is the average member of your gaming group?

3) Do you involve the original World Warriors into your game (either
as PC or NPC)?

4) Is Shadaloo the main enemy, nothing more than a guest appearance
once in a while, or simply nonexistent?

My answers:

1) L.A.: It's a large metropolis with many opportunities as well as
numerous denizens. Also noone in my group was there so far, so I can
be a bit creative with some locations.

2) I have two characters with World Warrior potential plus two weaker
characters (approx. rank 5) in my group.

3) Not as PC, but but relative often as NPC. However, I am relcutant
of making the Shadaloo World Warriors direct opponents of my group
(outside the ring) because I am sure after such an encounter one side
will simply cease to exist. However, often a WW attend the same
tournament the group participates in. I also started to add some other
character from the video games (e.g. Sakura and Birdie).

4) Considerung the length of our campaign, Shadaloo had it's peaks,
where we fought against it with all our strength. At the moment we
have other enemies that have to be taken care of. But even then we
occasionally stumble over traces about it. It is still powerful and
has it's tentacles alomst everywhere.

1) Where is the majority of your adventures located?
Miami FL, Bay City (San Diego) CA, Las Vegas NV, Sydney Australia

2) How powerful is the average member of your gaming group?
Depends on which game we're refering to. The Las Vegas game is near
beginning levels while the one located in Miami, FL is rank 5-7

3) Do you involve the original World Warriors into your game (either

Villians yes, but generally not the main cast.

4) Is Shadaloo the main enemy, nothing more than a guest appearance

"Shadowlaw" is around (I refuse to use or acknowledge the Americanized
version of the name. I feel it's a silly name and detracts from the
organizations fear factor). They have only just begun to see the web they
weave.

The way I chose to run it just proved to be too time consuming.

I think when the new game comes out we should kick it off with a new

Portland, USA. As there are at least two - if not three - Portland in the
US, I am therefore relieved of actually learning the layout of a city and
can just improvise. As the name indicates, there's a harbor and the
requisite docklands with plenty of action, as well as a downtown with
highrises, and of course mansions and so on.

Usually, Portland is where the players are actually situated, and they
then travel to exotic locations to attend tournaments - and occasionally
go on adventures.

> 2) How powerful is the average member of your gaming group?

About 3rd or 4th rank.

> 3) Do you involve the original World Warriors into your game (either
> as PC or NPC)?

Yes, but mostly as cameos, walkons and so forth. No official battles -
though there might be one 'going on' while the players do other things,
like hunting down Shadoloo ninjas in the rafters while there's a big fight
going on in the main arena.

> 4) Is Shadaloo the main enemy, nothing more than a guest appearance
> once in a while, or simply nonexistent?

Shadoloo is an evil crime syndicate with more than a passing interest in
street fighting, and therefore the player characters have better than
average chances in stumbling onto something. However, the organization
doesn't usually specifically hunt the player characters, and occasionally
the players don't realize that they're up against Shadoloo until much
later - if ever. Though the signature that there's someone in Shadoloo
about are various Ler Drit only maneuvers :-)
