While I love Hyabusa-san like a brother, in the Gaiden series he's about as
ninja-esque as a T-Rex in drag (that oughta scar someone's mind). It wasn't
until Dead or Alive that he began to act somewhat like a ninja.

And I would kill for a new Guardian Legend.

Kung Fu. The could even call it, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues

SF vs. X-men wasn't so bad. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is where it got really
annoying.

Especially since a lot (most?) of the characters had their own Fighting Games
before KOF showed up.

Okay. Time to activate the wayback machine.

In the days of old
when knights were bold
and bathrooms wern't invented.

Wait. Too far back. Here we go.

In the beginning, there was Street Fighter: The Storytelling Game. And for a
time, it was good. Published by White Wolf Studios, and licensed from Capcom,
SF:STG was a roleplaying game set in the Street Fighter universe. More
spcifially the era of the New Challengers. It was repleat with typos, editing
mistakes, game balance issues, and printing errors, but still managed to create
an insanely devoted following who loved the game with rabid intensity to this
very day (that's us).

The game has been out of print for several years now, and the license has
reverted back to Capcom. Books for the game, especially new ones, are becoming
more and more scarse every day. Therefor, I'm afraid the chances of you
actually obtaining copies diminishes with each hour. On the other hand, if you
do manage to find some for sale, they'll probably be for around five bucks or
so, since few people understand their true value.

Good Hunting Rogue Leader.

Gundam Wing: Endless Duel, the EX series, Last Bronx, Flying Dragon (possibly
the first fighting game with a story, but alas, not a two player mode). War of
the Monsters, Fighting Vipers, Tobal, Ehrgeitz, Toshinden. Some of these are
unencumbered with a story at all... Not sure if that's good or bad.

Okay, you've got a good point there. AI's had to cheat because they were,
well, dumb compared to a human. But I'm not noticing nearly as much cheating
in modern games, even non fighting ones. Are AI's that much more
sophisticated, or are they just sneakier and hiding it better?

Thoughts?

Actually I am.
I dont mind long combos, just not in my GD StreetFighter.
much like I dont mind carrots, but not jammed into my eyes.
wrong place at the wrong time.

I have a funny Killer Instinct story actually;
Im a big fan of it but i came into its life a little late because my
friends and I had only played SF and Mortal Kombat when we first saw
2 guys playing KI.

we naturally assumed from our past fighting game experience that the
1,000,000 hit combos we were seeing were obviously the result of
hitting 1,000,000 buttons like a sf combo, and that you had to be
some kind of rocket scientist to play it.

only much later we discovered it wasnt ctually that complicated and
got into it.

i like the original way better than the sequals of KI, but yeah im a
fan, played a crapload of it at a laundromat a block from my friends
house, even more on SNES, and christ we even played the card game
when card games were big.

nothing beats his taunt in capVSsnk2 where he moons you.

thats fun;
-when you knocked them down
-when your whooping em so bad they block it from fear
-when youre going to die anyway
-anytime
-while taunting "did they teach you THAT in the CIA?" (a la "meeting
the parents")

plus hes like the only interesting good guy in the whole fatal fury
armour of mars movie.

i think they are just plain better.

you dont see BLATANT cheating like before.
like, flash kick to flash kick to flash kick (no 2 sec pause)
thats the worst instance i can think of.

now they are just insanely good, which if youve ever seen mpegs of
tournament level play those guys cheat like computers so i guess it
isnt really cheating if its in the realm of human possibility.

You can probably download scans of the books on a p2p
file-trading network. I think you could use Edonkey or
Emule for this.

alpha went down their own road.
In my oppinion sf3 is more like a continuation where sf2 left off.
(as it should be)
no customs
1 super (though you pick it)
no alpha counters.

ex is made by arika, and is like a totally different game. you either
like it or you dont but its not comparable to any of the other 2d sf.

vs superheroes = wild n crazy engine, not like sf.

This book has a HUGE artwork content (as far as I know), it
seems that all the SFZ1 and 2 artwork was put on that book.

You know, I was detailing a lenghtly reply. Going into extreme detail into not
only each game, but each port of the game. Then my browser crashed, consigning
all my hard work to the ether. So here's a less lenghtly review on the
serieses:

EXI==Odd... but enjoyable. Breaking barrels is still cool.
EXII & III==Never Played.
SFIII==Geared twords hard core old school fans.
Alpha==My favorite SF series, and fighter in general.
Pocket Fighter==My favorite puzzle game. This and Intelligence Cubed are the
only puzzlers I'll play anymore.
Vs. SNK==Crossover goodness. Dan and Joe, together at last.
Vs. anyone else==Crossover flashyness. Fun, but frantic. Serious character
balance issues. Cool, if only for the Scarry Men With Capes Team (Von Doom,
Magneto, and Lord Vega).
Cannon Spike==Shooter with Cammy and Charlie (and Megaman, Arthur (Ghouls and
Ghosts), Buletta (Darkstalkers)...). Fun, but simple.

Neighbor, I've given some thought about you. I think I've narrowed down what
you are to a few different possibilities. In the order that amuses me most you
are:

1) a complete and utter (C&U) newbie
2) a troll pretending to be a C&U newbie
3) a briliant satirist pretending to be a troll pretending to be a C&U newbie
4) from outer space
5) a plant working for Microsoft
6) Steve
7) Staredown
8) Dubaya
9) The quick and easy path to the dark side
0) Divine punishment for me secretly switching Samson Jr. stats with Balrog's

Please note that these are not mutually exclusive. You could be a briliant
satirist pretending to be a troll pretending to be a C&U newbie from outer
space.

Care to confirm or deny?

Good news for Street Fighter II fans!!!
Posted on Tuesday, October 07 @ 00:57:20 HKT by ronald

Capcom has announced that they would release a new game called Hyper-street
fighter II 15th anniversary edition. Actually, it is a game that combined all
the past Street Fighter II versions into one game. e.g. Street Fighter II's
Chin Lee vs the Street Fighter II Turbo's Chin lee and so on..... However, the
graphic had not be enhanced. Fortunately, the retail price is very cheap for
3,800 yen only. There will be also a special limited edition for 8,800 yen.

It will comes with the game, a DVD movie showing the special playing techinque,
a mouse Pad, a book and a mobile phone strip. That will be a very good item for
the collectors!!!!

those words from the comment "oh send it to me" i was only kidding about
that(laughing). why would i go there? i have no use for places like that. and no im
not a satirist. so i figured that i would clear that up. so dont take what i say
