Thanks all. :)
As soon as this semester is over, my self and a friend are making a streetfighter moo, a place to be able to play streetfighter. :)
Its only in its base form so far, and we have to redo it all as we have just been playing with it so far. When its up and going I will post the connection for it. :)

That would be me! :)

My name is Fox Reinard, and about a week ago, I began to post to this list various information that I had already come up with. The 'revision' is actually just me adding some of Exalted's rules to the mix, and streamlining Animal Hybird/Cyborg/Ninjas/WhatHaveYou. My mission statement: If you want a +1 Strength, or a bonus to your Techniques, or even additional skills, you should pay for them like everyone else has to.

So what do you get for the investment of the Merits Animal Hybrid, Cyborg, Clan Heritage?

A) Access to the various powers associated with said merit.
B) Animal Hybrids get the Rage merit (yes, I use the rules, as a Merit), and Cyborgs get a 'Spiritual Channel' merit, which allows them to spend Health as Chi points. Ninjas..

I haven't really put too much thought into Clan Heritage as a Merit. I'm thinking of eliminating the merit and saying that a Ninja who is of the correct style type can buy the Saiminjitsu maneuvers.

The good news for would-be players of Hybrids/Borgs/etc is that you don't have to have the flaws (frenzy, Honor loss) associated with being such a thing unless you want to, and these are worth bonus points (Which can only be used to purchase advantages relevant to said flaws).

eg: Let's say you make a Toaster. Just for fun, we'll call the Toaster 'John'.
Said toaster wants Extendible Limbs. Just so he can telescope his arms out like that Inspector Gadget guy. Simple enough. You take Focus up to four dots, like anyone else who wants Extendible Limbs, and pay 3 Power Points (Because Extendible Limbs is on the list of available maneuvers through Cybernetics.). The difference? Mechanically there is no difference. Since Extendible Limbs has no Chi cost, the character cannot use Health to power it.
How about a Flamethrower?
Two ways to do this.
One is to purchase Fireball to start, then Yoga Flame (No freebies here. You want a Maneuver, you buy the prerequisites!). The character can pick up Yoga Flame powered by Cybernetics, so they can spend Health on it.
The other way to do this is to attach a Flamethrower to their arm, as a merit (weapon implant). With the Merit, the character must make certain the item in question is well-kept. Yes, you can attach a firearm, but you must clean, reload, etc.

http://www.comnet.ca/~freinard/sf/ is the location. Have a look around. Periodically the site will be updated, and this is going to happen somewhat often.

There are several ways of doing so. http://www.irony.com/
(Irony Games) has a variety of online dice tools that can
be used in lieu of real dice, and that website also puts
you in touch with GMs interested in running games through
the format of electronic mail. (These games are often
called PBeM, an abbreviation which stands for "play by
e-mail". )

Some games take place on-line via internet chats. Software
such as irc and AIM are handy for generating "rooms" where
people may assume avatars. When coupled with online dice
rollers, I think that internet chats are best for giving
the gaming environment the real-time aspect of a good real
life gathering at a medium-sized dining room table.

You can see some Storyteller IRC games over at
www.dimfuture.net/elsewhere.

Best Wishes,
Claude Smith

There was one other thing I like to do to simplify the
process of rolling dice when I play in an evironment such
as the back of a car. Whenever it's time to roll damage for
an attack, I like to roll 1D10 and then multiply the result
by 10 percent. Multiply that by the maximum possible damage
caused by the particular attack an enemy or character is
using. That's the of damage the attack causes.

For example, Bob Leroy blasts at Wilmer Fudd with a .12 ga
shotgun. The attack roll succeeds. He then rolls a 2, which
means he causes 20% of the maximum damage for a .12 ga
(which in Cthulhu is 24 points). 24 x .20 = 4.8. We can
round up to 5. Bob must have not aimed very well ...

This trick also works well in games where you have a lot of
damage dice to roll. It helps keep combat fast paced and
exciting, which it should be.

as a start, we should try to list eveything we know to be wrong with
the books as is. typos and contradictions etc.. Start off as errata.

anyone started a list like this, with page number/paragraph, etc?
I always wanted to.
we should all do it here by replying.

Subject: Revised cybernetics
I have been working on a revision using the Fuzion/Cyberpunk rules.

Whereas you buy yourself cybernetic parts with money instead of using
XP to get them.

These implants will cost you your chi. The more cyber the less perm.
chi can you have.

With this system you have to buy yourself a flamethrower implant in
your arm or something to throw fireballs etc.

This implant also needs fuel(instead of chi).

When the cyborg don't have ANY chi left, he'll become affected by
Boomer sickness, or insanity.(Boomer comes from Bubblegum Crisis
series, and means "one who makes alot of noice").

They will of course get alot of bonuses in health and soaking etc.
but they can never again use chipowered maneuvers.

I'm still working on this revision, but you guys are free to tell me
your opinion about this ^v^

Subject: About Goutetsu's Ansatsuken (I wait for a reply)
Note that even not having the Shun Goku Satsu, Ryu, Ken, Sakura and Sean are listed 'Ansatsukeners'. Ansatsuken is a generic term, and bla, bla, bla, but they must not have it... Thinking about this, finally I've understanded what is Goutetsu's Ansatsuken and what it style have.
Capcom of Japan said that Goutetsu was the creator of Hadouken, Shoryuken and Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku. He learned Shotokan Karate and improved it, adding this moves to this style. It is the Ansatsuken of Goutetsu, passed to Gouki (Akuma) and Gouken. Gouken passed to Ryu, Ken and Dan. Sakura learned watching Ryu and Sean learned watching Ken.
And yes, this moves are created to kill. Maybe not Hadouken and Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku, but Shoryuken is. In SF1, if used closed, the Shoryuken simple let the opponent to the ground, ending the matching (whaw!!!).
Ansatsuken not have a ligation with Satsui no Hadou (maybe have, in the SF Alpha OVA Gouken said "Our style was created to kill", refering to Satsui no Hadou of Ryu). Satsui no Hadou have a ligation of Shun Goku Satsu, a move that Gouken NOT passed to your pupils (but that awakened in Ryu)
Ryu and Ken are not seems like Shotokaners in the begin, but in the sequels of SF series they gain movies representing thje style (like the punches and elbow smashes with a large movement of Ryu and the "crazy" kicks of Ken). Sakura have a proposital diference and Sean too. In SF3 Ryu gain the Ushiro Geri, your powerfull kick and common move of Shotokan Karate (I'm a karateka of this style).
But see that they Ansatsuken never was changed. Always they have Hadouken, Shoryuken and Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku. This is the Ansatsuken of Goutetsu.

What version is that in?

All the home and arcade versions I've played it's called something
like: "JOUDAN SOKUTOU GERI"

(btw, nothing is as sweet as doing an E.X. version of that to bounce
them off the wall and then a DP when they come down.)

Subject: Goutetsu's Ansatsuken 2 - Concluding
Fruit of one talks in the ICQ with Jun (a friend):

Jun Hayashi® (0:26 AM): Stranger, because Gen also no are listed as Ansatsuken? I no remember Gen to thus have been pupil of the Goutetsu or thing... It nor has Shoryuken... = P
Neo (0:27 AM): you by chance knows what is Ansatsuken?Neo (0:28 AM): it means Fists Murderous... a generic term... the school of Goutetsu possesss the Dragon Punch, and Gen the Dim Mak... blows with intention to kill
Jun Hayashi® (0:28 AM): Techniques to kill or to whatever like that? Neo (0:29 AM): ???
Jun Hayashi® (0:31 AM): Ahan, can be. But still he is strange... Gouken "would have taken off" the techniques murderous of the style, but listed Ryu, Ken and cia are as experts of these techniques...
Neo (0:33 AM): in no place it only says this... says that it taught to a WEAK VERSION of the art pra Ryu and Ken... notices that the blows of the Akuma are stronger... Fireball makes right 3x, Dragon Punch also, and the Hurricane is very superior
Jun Hayashi® (0:36 AM): Then he is contradictory, because it was what all said. That the Goutetsu did not want to teach the "murderous techniques", there the Gouki killed it... thing thus. = P I am hearing "weak version" for the first time. But, that I am... I trust its judgment. = P If voce find that it is thus, for me all good. I do not know the history of Street very, and already I gave up to try to see sensible or logical in these things that the Capcom says... it is information others that finish if contradicting more front...
Neo (0:38 AM): nothing of this... in it livens up it of the Alpha, the Ryu says: "Gouki used the Satsui in the Hadou to kill the master Goutetsu and probably the master Gouken"... e Gouken says "Our style was made originally to kill"... weak version comes of a magazine mine of when Akuma it appeared for the first time, in the Super SF2 Turbo (or X, in Japan)
Jun Hayashi® (0:40 AM): Yep, originally. The impression that passes is of that it WAS to kill and is not more. Or either, without Ansatsuken. But, if it has still Ansatsuken... ahn... cool ^^; Hmmm... all good.
Neo (0:41 AM): Gouken says "Our style was made originally to kill. I want to be strongest of all " Ryu learned with it, and exactly thus it developed the Satsui in the Hadou, for cause of this murderous spirit of the style, understood?
Jun Hayashi® (0:42 AM): Ahan...
Neo (0:42 AM): Gouken well that it tried, but the murderous spirit continued... was same one failed = P
Jun Hayashi® (0:44 AM): It deserved to die. = P But the Satsui no Hadou also is strange... Ryu developed (and it obtained to contain itself), but Ken not, exactly having both supposedly learned the same thing...
Neo (0:45 AM): but it develops itself in who lives to fight... the FAQ also explains this... Ryu and Akuma... perhaps Sakura (but not in storyline)... e in EX the Kairi...
Neo (0:45 AM): Ken thinks only about if amusing...
Jun Hayashi® (0:47 AM): There boy is strange (Shun) to have developed... because I do not go to believe that it "lived to fight"... it was very infantile still... was until funny (Ototo dakara!)...
Neo (0:47 AM): but Akuma trained it...
Neo (0:48 AM): and yes, it lived to fight... remembers? "It wanted to fight with you, brother!"
Jun Hayashi® (0:49 AM): It can until being that it is this same, but was one in such a way forced, not? I, at least, did not like this history... one almost menininho with Satsui no Hadou blowing up an entire building (the Ryu finished the service)... = P
Neo (0:50 AM): nothing of this... the power alone awakened in the boy, but it did not obtain to use it, does not remember? it was crying out equal idiot! ^^
Jun Hayashi® (0:53 AM): It is? But then it is the training that makes with that the person develops this energy... the Gen never had?
Neo (0:54 AM): really, this is an interesting point... despite the Gen not being as the Ryu, Akuma and Kairi (it fights for businesses, not fight for compulsion)... but it with Satsui in the Hadou would be interesting ^^

The quarrel stopped there... well, finds that it takes off the remaining doubts on that one my conclusion on the Ansatsuken and the Satsui in the Hadou, right?

In the past, I've decided show to you pictures of Street Fighter 2 Movie and Street Fighter Alpha OVA of fights of Ken and Ryu. In the animes the fighting styles of them are the perfect Shotokan Karate!
But in your FAQ you said that the animes do not be cannon.
Today, I've found in your FAQ this affirmation:

How would the characters actually move and fight like if they weren't restricted by gameplay engine?

Capcom has actually stated that the most accurate portrayal thus far of how various characters in Street Fighter could move and fight is the Street Fighter Alpha anime, so you can watch that if you want to get a good jist of how Ryu would actually fight in an actual battle. The storyline itself of the anime isn't canon, of course, but it's a good representation of how the street fighter characters could move and attack according to Capcom. As examples, Capcom stated that Ryu actually did have the ability to move fast enough to dodge bullets (not that he actually ever has, but he could if the situation ever turned up) and Ken could really crack a cyborg's jaw with certain moves. And Ryu and Akuma could easily smash pure wooden dummies with basic blows.

First, in SF 2 Movie:
- When Ryu remembers of your trainning with Ken in the first time, all the movements are of Shotokan Karate. It remembers the traditional Shotokan Karate (my fighting style in real life). The 2-hits elbow smash/punch of Ken, the Yoko Geri (the side kick) of Ken, the style of block of Ryu (always dodging the trajectory of punch/kick), the sweep of Ryu (perfect ilustration of Ashi Barai), and, finally, the throws of Ryu.
- In the fight of Ryu and Fei Long, a show of Shotokan VS Kung Fu can be viewed. The way that Ryu used to punch (using the hip) and the kicks (Mawashi and Ura Mawashi) are correctly!
- When Ryu trainning in Honda's house, kicking, he uses Giaku Zuki (the punch, with the right way of Shotokan Karate), Yoko Geri (the lateral kick) and Yoko Tobi Geri (the jumping kick). Look to the position of shoes in the two kicks: the thumb toe are raised, and the other toes are curved to down. Is a technique of Shotokan Karate.
- In the fight of Ryu/Ken VS Bison, the punches (using the hip) and kicks (much of them are siding) are equal of the punches/kicks of Shotokan Karate.

And about SF Alpha OVA:
- In the inicial fight, involving Ryu and the thieves, the jumping kick of Ryu seems the jumping kicks of Shotokan. He jumps and kicks siding.
- When Ryu/Ken/Shun training, the basis of Shotokan Karate can be viewed in their legs. And the the perfect position of Giaku Zuki (front leg in a 90º, rear leg extended, rectum spine, open chest, arm of punch making a 90º with the torso) can be viewed first, in the inicial punch of Ken. This is a basic position that define the Shotokan Karate.
- In the fight of Ryu and the soldiers of Sadler, Ryu ends the fight with a Giaku Zuki, and your basis can be viewed again.

Finalling, in the games:
- Alpha Counter: the Alpha Counter of Ryu/Ken/Gouki are the perfect perform of Uchi Uke, probably the best defense move of Shotokan Karate and one of most beautiful.
- Parry: Like in the Alpha Counter, the Parry of Ryu/Ken/Gouki is the Uchi Uke.
- Punches: the punches can't be used to define a style, except for the fact that the spine of them are rectum, and all of them uses the hip in the most hard punches. The punches with a movement define the style, and the elbow attack of Ryu (front + Fierce Punch) define the Shotokan Karate (Ken also use this move in your fight with Vega in SF 2V). Ken uses a head butt, and my sensei taught this move to us. The knee bash of Ken taughted to us too.
- Kicks: the kicks are the principal point. First, in Ryu. He uses the Yoko Geri in the your forward kick. Side kick, the foot are turned to down. Your fierce kick in Alpha 3 is a version of Mae Geri used to hit 2 times in close, and Ura Mawashi if the distance are far. Look to position of the foot again. Your jump kick jumping to up, only, is the Mae Tobi Geri. And your jump kick jumping to front or back is the Yoko Tobi Geri. In the SF3, Ryu gains the Ushiro Geri, used also by Sakura in SF Alpha.
The Ken kicks representing a shotokaner with a big ego. Maybe seem like a joke, but in my dojo two brothers remember much Ken and Ryu. The older, remeber Ryu, and the other remeber Ken, even using more kicks. Ken kicks Mawashi in various levels. And he kicks Ura Mawashi ditto. Ken uses the Inzuma Kakato Wari, and this move is the Kakato Geri in Shotokan. In SF3 Ken have a move that called Fumikomi Mae Geri, but I never view this attack.
Akuma kicks remember Ryu, and small things can be addeds.
- Throws: A friend of 2nd Dan of Karate said to me that after the 1st Dan, the karateka begin to learn throws like the throws of Ryu/Ken. Tomoe Nage (the leg throw) and Ippon Seoi Nage (the arm and hip throw).
- Other moves: other moves can be viewed, but I can't remember now.

Conclusion: Much can said that Makoto remember more Shotokan than Ryu/Ken. Makoto remember more karate, because she can't learn the Ansatsuken moves of Goutetsu. Same can be viewed in the case Sagat/Adon. Sagat learned the Tiger Shot and developed the Tiger Uppercut, but Adon seems more like a Muay Thai praticioner.
Makoto remember karate, but your kicks not seems much with the shotokan kicks. And lacking in her (a karateka with a down basis, a stance that improve the punches, but complicate the kicks) a move like the Spinning God Fist (Paul Phoenix, Tekken series), Tenchihahoken (Ryo Sakazaki, TKOF) or Justice Fist (Allen Snider, SF EX). The Shotokan Ansatsukeners not have a move of this type because your Shoryuken replace that.

If the discussion about Ansatsuken and Shotokan Karate's, as
practiced by Ryu, Ken, Dan, Sakura, Sean & Kairi, involves some
"innate evil relationship", i'll say: Yes, of course their shotokan is
evil, how can a style that's also practiced by Morrigan & Lilith, from
Darkstalkers, two demons, NOT be evil ? Haven't you ever seen
Morrigan using a Shoryuken ? Sure as hell Shotokan is evil, even
devils use it !!! ;-P

The style Morrigan and Lilith utilize probably isn't
Shotokan. Their projectile attacks are bat-shaped and do
not look like the glowing blue fireballs which Ryu, Ken,
Dan, Sakura, Sean & Kairi fire. Also, there is no Shoryuken
in Morrigan's repertoire; she instead uses a rising move
called the Soul Blade.

Whether Morrigan is evil depends upon your interpretation
of the term. She's heroic in the sense that she protects
the demonic realm from invasion and annihilation by Pyron,
Jedah, and Phobos (Huitzil) but could be classified as
cruel in that she will challenge others to fights and
finish them off with a variety of strikes.

It's harder to decide if Lilith is a demon. She's a weird
sort of clone that Jedah created from Morrigan's soul
because he feared she would stop his plan to kill the
Darkstalkers and use their combined souls in a plot to fuse
all the souls of the universe into one.

Within the Darkstalkers universe there are the generic bad
guys (Demitri Maximoff, who wants to conquer the world, is
one such example) and then the _really_ bad guys (such as
Pyron, who wants to eradicate all life on Earth and the
Demonic realm).

Dan was studying Shotokan but was dismissed by his teacher
because he was not controlling his temper. He used the
experience gained from his study and then fused it with
other martial arts to create his own unique style, Saikyo
Ryu.

As for the style being evil, it's far harder to say. Most
martial arts are designed to prevent your opponent from
hurting you and help the user inflict harm upon the
opponent. The style seems to amplify the practicioner's own
chi and life force. If the user's soul is evil, then that
evil is amplified and strengthened. If the soul is good (as
in the case of Ryu, Ken, and Sakura), the goodness is
strengthened as well. Like most weapons, the user of the
art decides how the art will be utilized to help or harm
others.

These are just my $0.02. As Dennis Miller says, "that's
just my opinion, I could be wrong."
