with CGI you can parse the html back down to just the original form
input.

guestbook CGIs are fairly simple, dont have to learn the whole
language to just plug this form into it instead of the standard form
(name, addy, message) and then you can have it formatted however you
want in the display.

DUDE!!!

You may scan the sheets and convert them into .JPEG files or you just start
simply by writting them down, one by one in a text document in your PC.
Maybe there is an easier way...and another FELLOW Street Fighter may tell
you, but if you manage to do it, I wanna be first on the list to see them
'cause I'm writting down a new campaing and I'm looking to get the most
NPC's as possible to use as opponents for my player characters!

GO FOR IT!!

Hello,

Folks, I have got stacks of NPC's. Some on the half-sheets and some on
full
pages. Different skill levels, styles, and motivations. Warriors from
around the globe, solo or in teams. I have more than I ever really get
to
use, so if you want them...

There is however, a catch. Of all who will heed your call, I drag my
knuckles over a keyboard the slowest. I've characters for you all, but
I
haven't the slightest clue on how to put them on a computer. If anyone
could gift me with an on-line character sheet of sorts, I would be more
than
happy to help.

Oh. One more thing, why did no one else answer for the music question?
I'm
curious. Does no one else use music? Tell me!

Thanks.

Would it be easier to write a jscript that saves the info as a
cookie? Then you would only have to reload the cookie to recreate
the character.

Still working on a solution...

easier maybe.

you delete the cookie your screwed, or if you make a char at work and
edit it at home etc.

of course if were talking about whats easier for the CODER, let them
fill the damn thing out each time!!! :D

Shouldn't be a problem (I can remove Non-text portions of messages all day) but

Subject: Vacation
Hi, guys!

Although not everybody in this (these) group(s) knows me (Perhaps
because I never have written since I've been subscribed... hehe...), I'm
only leaving my note: I'm going on vacation next week (probably to my
beach house), and I'll just come back near 02/02/2003. I will not be
available neither in the group, nor in private email until this date. I'm
changing this group to "No Email" mode to avoid any trouble on my E-mail.

See ya next year! (I think!)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody!!

Subject: New Storyteller seeks your help!
Dear All

Experienced GM/DM etc but new to running streetfighter, in the event of
saving me a bit more time does anyone have any NPC's they could send to me.
Cheek I know but I figured it would help.

Also how do people tend to work creating higher rank fighters as I have not
come across any set rule for fighters. Can anyone shed any light on this as
I want to keep them fair skill levels for the rank they are.

Many thanks

They have not produced from Capcom full-portraits of most of the SF3 characters. There are a few. But they're not that great quality, and they'd be mighty hard to find. The most common ones you'll see are the half portraits <busts really> of the guys from 'New Challengers'. Anything else you find will be on luck =P

i have.... and fport he Higher ranked fighter.. I tend to give out dots
like elder vampires not as powerful as the world warriors, but powerful
enough to give the players more then a run for their money... Does anyone
here have any tips on how to run a successful game?? my attempts at
streetfighter keep dissolving into complete sillieness.. not always a bad
thing.. but to me this world also need the hard core serious aspect

Group: streetfighter Message: 14192 From: Robert Zen Date: 1/8/2003
Subject: Aid for you.
Hello.

My name is Ambrose Kalifornia, and I'd like to help.

Awhile back one of the guys here pointed me to a site with excellent Street
Fighter III: Third Strike art. Here is the website's address:

http://falcoon.hp.infoseek.co.jp/images/top757.jpg

Now getting there is sometimes skeevy, try playing with the address. There
is no next button so re-enter the address adding one (.../top758.jpg,
.../top759.jpg) until you get what you want. Or you could just ask someone
who knows what they are doing...

Also, I sent the Ken (with whom I could easily kick you ass in SF Alpha
2)picture so you could see if you like the artist's style. As all the shots
are really good, I'm sure you'll want it all.

I hope that helped, and if you have any good sources for Street Fighter or
SNK art you just let me know.

Thanks,
AmbroseKalifornia

As far as NPCs go, check out the Files section in the list's egroup
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/streetfighter/files). There are several NPCs
there, and always at least one per issue of Warrior's Pride (anyone remember
this?).

Now for a more hardcore, unfunny campaign, I'd advise cruelty (aka Shock
Value). Seems obvious I know, but you'd be surprised how well a little cruelty
on the part of your villans can pump up the characters (and their players) to
kick the bad guy's ass. Especially cruelty inflicted on children, most Street
Fighters have a soft spot for kids, especially if the street fighter is still one.

Subject: Fighter Maker 2
Has anyone seen it or played Fighter Maker 2 for the Playstation 2?
Seems like something some people on this list might be interested in.
Just wanted to scout out some opinions since I'm considering buying it.

I've always thought a perfect fighting game (for me) would allow me to
customize a fighter to the level of detail that this one does and then
compete online.

Seems that this game doesn't give you much to do with your fighters
after all the hard work you put into them, but it'd be an interesting
thing to use in conjunction with a Street Fighter campaign wouldn't it?

I have been reading reviews. Most reviewers won't give high marks to a
game that isn't a mainstream type of genre. This is a quirky hobbyist
type thing that most game reviewers won't be into. Their reviews reflect
this.

I thought I'd ask here because I'm more likely to get the opinion of
someone who actually likes the idea of creating their own fighter. I
definitely have to rent this one first.

Really it's not very good. Download the PC 2d Fighter Maker
instead. It's not that hard to find and you can do more stuff since
you don't have to waste an entire card on each fighter. Or get MUGEN.

Not if that's the only reason.
A girlfriend doesn't have to like all your hobbies. She probably has
interests that you don't care for. As long as you both respect your
varied interests (by respect, I mean not give each other a hard time
about them).

Just capitalize on the things you both like doing, and you can RPG in
your spare time.

<<Is it justified to dump a gf if she thinks you rpging is stupid?>>

I guess that really depends. My fiance doesnt think to highly of
roleplaying. But she allows me to do it, and doesnt criticize me for it.

If she thinks its stupid, well, thats her personal opinion and she is
entitled to it. However, if she doesnt let you roleplay because she thinks
its stupid, then you got a problem.

Plus it also depends how long you two have been together. If you've been
together for years, this would be a silly reason to break up. But if its
been weeks? What the hell do you need that stress for? ;)

Depends on how important RPing is to you and how stupid she thinks it is.
Since you're on the list, I'll assume that it ranks just under not being on
fire. Every relationship, boss-employee, server-client, and bf-gf is going to
have compromises. That's the point really, otherwise we'd just be cloning
ourselves and tweaking one chromosome (well, that and most of us would make
ugly women). I'm sure she does stuff you think is stupid, but you put up with
it for her sake, even if you don't participate, so ask her to do the same.

Lots of info on the RPG and girlfriend stuff.

My other half roleplays with me an my friends, guess I am lucky as she is
good at at and she even runs some games.

My ex tried it and did not really enjoy it but hey it was her loss but it
was never a problem. She never kicked off over it.

If a girl is giving you grief over it tell he to take a hike - not worth
changing you for.

Nope - I've beenwith my wife for 11 years this summer (married 8 years this
April) and she's always referred to my gaming as "sad games" (she occasionally
plays HeroClix though...so there's always hope).

Relationships are always give and take - and you should never base whther
you dump someone or not on a single issue - unless it's a major one (like
physical violence or acts of felony...).

Yes, send us a picture, and we can really help you to choose =P

Now seriously, If she think roleplaying is stupid, or maybe childish ....She
have the right to think so....but if she think that, i really doubt she
consider you as a mature guy. If she think your hobbie is stupid,
then.....she don't respect you enough. I know i exagerate a little but you
got the idea.

But, if she think it's stupid and stay with you, then it must probably be a
sexual relation....then stay with her until you feel bored then....broke.

And send us a picture. !!!! }; P

Niggy 211

Anyone on this forum got an idea what he ig going on about as he has bored
the socks off me with the hunting crap - let em do it.

Hunting is to go after somthing as if you hunt for a pen its still hunting -
you need to relax a bit mate!

As for sport - it is an out door persuit and as other people take part in it
it's also a social thing I should imidgine. All the people in the UK that
go on about hunting and animal cruelty are not affected by it and have too
much spare time - THEY SHOULD ROLE PLAY AS WELL! - then they would not go on
about crap all the time.

As for this guy being a pansy - leave the dude alone and sort your own
issues out - being unhappy is a good reason to leave someone as a
relationship is a 2 way thing, can't have one doing all the work!

Anyway back to StreetFighter stuff all.

Craig
