Well, I put it at 6/6/6, because I figure he's equivalent to Bison.
Besides, all the Bosses have stats higher than 5. And I'd NEVER say
that he's equivalent to Ken (sorry, Ken).

Ah, but you said Akuma. now if you said Shin-Akuma, that's a color of a
different horse. I can easily see 6/6/6 as being appropriate there.

I'd even go so far as to say 5/4/5 for Akuma (or as I like to call him,
Akuma-lite), since I remember him being a bit slower than Ken/Ryu.

it would be for the rpg so naturally there would only be one version
of akuma.

i think shin akuma would be the one to use, being akuma how he is
meant to be.

I think he should have 6/6/6 he isn´t better than Bison but he´s better than
Ken and Ryu, in game therms. A question about Balrog he isn´t too weak for
World Warrior.

Actually, the first time I ran the exabition fight between Guile and Balrog in
High Stakes, Balrog beat Guile very bloodily. Think Balrog took seven damage
and Guile took like 28.

Of course, that was the first time we'd played a SF adventure.

I tend to play a brick (pankatrion) and have suffered at the hands
of the speedoes. But there are ways around that, combos for one.
My favorite combo I use is a move/diving tackle/suplex combo. There
are few +move combos for sumo/sanbo or other strength MA's, but they
can severely reduce fast character's advantages. In addition, house
rule caused anybody playing a move card more than 3 times (except in
rare situations) to be disqualified and take an honor hit.

Akuma/Gouki combines all of Ryu and Ken's strengths with none of their
weaknesses is how I see it.
He is scary and cheesy, but he can have an interesting story.

I've attached the character sheet I made for him.

I gave him these physical stats:

    Str: 7
    Dex: 6
    Sta: 7

It seems that your just looking at their stats, & not the whole package.
ChunLi is well hard, but do any of her moves have a damage rating, like the
dragon punch, of 17? I think not. Then Ryu has a projectile with damage of
15, & Kens Flaming Dragon Punch does 17x2 if your careful.

But ther are two 'versions' of Akuma, (as stated blatantly in Super Street
Fighter 2 turbo revival, which kicks much arse, I might add) The is the
guy, & then the guy after he has been posesed by a demon. So it should be
one character, but with some changes for when he gets posesed, depending on
when you are setting your game.
Akuma as standard shouldn't be dex 6, think about it, he may be fast, but
    Cammy's faster(actually, she's faster than ShinAkuma, it's nice to have a
'battle Akuma' mode in a game!).

How many people have played Streetfighter as a silly campaign? The
game is ripe for humor. Just ask the player that created a animal
hybrid 5(hamster) sumo wrestler. His special attack was pouch stuff
(bear hug). One of the funniest I've ever seen was the Ler Drit
bookworm, a little pale guy who's story was having studied Ler Drit
from only books and tv. Physical was his 3rd choice for his stats
(Str1 Dex3 Sta1). His trademark quote during fights was 'Oh
God...the pain...it hurts... Never quite won a battle, but
roleplayed a guy WAY out of his league so well he always won the
extra XP for roleplaying. Adding to the league was a parody of
James Bond, who had to make a seduction role on all the women he
met. If he succeeded they got it on, if he failed she immediately
turned out to be a Shadoloo secret agent who attacked him. Kinda
like the movies. We had a a few more, but those were the best ones.

Couldn't seem to get a good story going unfortunately.

Favrite NPCs in that one (would have been reacurring) were Aurora Pheonix and Mr. Panda.

Aurora was a JKD fighter with a real short fuse and Mr. Panda was a 5 dot panda hybrid who couldn't talk.

Unfortunately had to make an on the spot house rule: No one one-rounds Mr. Panda!

    M. Bison, with physical statistics all at 6, a kick that does 18
damage(More than Ryu's Dragon Punch) and a maneuver that rips wlilpower away
from Ryu so that he can't even utilize maneuvers that make him come close to
Bison. Or Vega, with his Tumbling Attack that does 7*9 dice of damage
because of his claw. Better block that - Ryu would, after soak, be sucking
down 28 dice of damage on that, for an average of 10.2 health levels. But
the best and truly hardest of the Streetfighters is Balrog. I have nothing
to prove that this is so, nor do statistics come in my favor. Don't care.
    Balrog is the best.:P

Yes, it's always good to have humor in roleplaying. The Pouch Stuff is especially hilarious tho ^_^ I wonder what happens to that guy when he goes rage?

I remember the time I played a female Ninja with Leech...getting rid of burly guards by a door went along the lines of 'I'm scared....will you hold my hand?' ^_^ Pity it only worked for two adventures tho....but I did get the 1 bonus XP for innovation.

    Hmm...come to think of it,

The wits roll is pretty balanced, although it's not exactly low-level character friendly. It could be reasonably implemented...but there has to be a cap of some sort somewhere, considering that people can have up to 8 wits by rank 4-5 especially if the guy's an android. I'd imagine a lot of lucky breaks and fudged die rolls will allow someone to perform a game breaking super quite fast. Therefore:

For both the KOF and the SF systems:
You may spend 1 turn to 'charge meter'. As long as you're not dizzied or knocked down afterward, roll wits difficulty 5 and add dots equal to the amount of successes to your super meter. Note that you may only add up to 5 dots this way.

Also this roll is immune to botch (to balance out the cap). 'Botching' this roll will net you 0 dots to your super meter.

one thing ive noticed the setting is great for is dorky concepts.
    like from "the tick".
Me and my friend have been planning a supplement called "They coulda'
been a contender" which would feature all the dumbasses weve thought
of, and continue to think of. weve been thinking of guys like this
for years but we never seem to put it down on paper.
    examples:

bob rage (lost his ass in 'nam. now fights with a cybernetic one)
the capoiera cappi barra (animal hybrid)
Muhamed Kali (6 armed boxer from india)
Ezekiel (boxing amish guy. same story as t hawk)
Brass Monkey (brass mask wearing monkey kung fu guy with cool theme
    music)
Dolphin boy (dolphin hybrid, [hes funnier if you could see how we
    draw him])
The tuna-netter (pronounced almost like 'Terminator'. wears old-
school diving suit and is arch nemesis of dolphin boy)

maybe ill break down and finally do it one day:)

Well, the last game I ran(a few years back) it seems the players didn't
quite grasp the idear of serious Street fighter. So we had the Kung Fu
Steriotype Twan ti Fo(24), the Kabaddi Pigmi Neche !(the ! is pronounced by
a click of the tounge), the guy who just happens to be just like Kazuya from
Tekken & the Mossad special forces guy, who was a serious character, which
made him the weirdest of the lot. Some players suck. I'm starting a new
game pretty soon, & ir should go much better.

I actually ran a game that I still consider the worst game I've
ever run. The players were so unprepared for everything I
considered docking them experience. They snuck into the evil
castle and had to find and steal the top secret computer disk.
Out of eight people, not one had computer. And the first four
that found the computer botched their rolls and spended the entire
game playing solitaire. The remaining four had two get captured
by the butler, the british super spy seducing or fighting with the
entire female staff, leaving only one person to actually find the
disc and escaping. Probably the funniest part was eight fighters
following the maid, and seven of them veering off in separate
directions at the same time, leaving only one character who had
the hots for the maid. Too bad she ended up fighting/romancing
    the british superspy.

Heck yeah this is why i joined this e-group. Lets
    see here.

First I must warn you...MY GAME IS CRAZY! there now
that i have that out of the way i can get down to
buisness. i will mention high game stats but please
dont call me a twink. Keep in mind that we have played
(give or take.) every day for the last 5 years! That
means at least one experience point per day for anout
i would say 250 days out of every year.

Quin: Quin used to work for bison he had a Zangeif
like attitude about bison (the one from the live
action movie.) and beleived that bisone wasent
actually evil but just peleived in the ends justify
the means thing. But one day he found out that bison
was experementing on little childern. Quin snapped he
would strive for the lofty pillar thae he once
beleived that bison stood on and created shadowroo!
An australian organization that works closly with anti
terrorizim organizations, recently Quin hot exposed to
some mutagenic radeation and was transformed into a
giant Kangaroo Hybrid. He lost much of his mind but is
slowly regaining it he has even learned threw use of
chi and focus how to return to normal for short
ammounts of time (basicly loosing all animal hybrid
bonuses while human.) the other characters have sence
been watching his Organization while he recovers which
has provides for some interesting adventures.

Jordan Yin: This character has been such an annoyance
over the whole campeign. He dosent have a bad bone in
his whole body. BUt the interesting part is that he is
cursed. The curse is as follows if Jordan ever gets it
on (y'know shag) he will either die a horible death or
become pure evil. Well to boot towards the end of
things he had an 8 appereance and a 6 charisma.
Needless to say allot of women wanted him. The rest of
the Characters would constantly be all stressed out
trying to keep the babes of of jordan. Finaly they
broke the curse by putting it into a clone which
proceded to shag and than turn evil which the
characters had to deal with the clones name was Sam
yang. Recently jordan has addopted a trio of young
    street fighters.

Thai-Quan-DO: Oh where would my game be without the
exploits of Thai-quan-do (dont let the name fool you
he "was" into kick boxing) The only character to date
which unfortunatly has passed on. Let me see TQD first
poped up in the first adventure to kick some butt in a
tournament where the champion was T-Hawk any way the
only character to make it to the Main event was
    Jordan.
TQD being a typical proud follower of Mu-Thai was
angry that he dident win his first mach. Jordan and
TQD had a rivalry sence. Any way some time later TQD
wanted to make up a flaiming tiger Knee maneuver and
had to to hunt down his Sensai Who thought he was bat
man (in my early game i made the mistake of letting
the players make up their supporting cast.) Any way he
had to go to chicago and fund the gut but on the way
there he got cought up in the adventure in the
    shadoloo
book and had to fight vega vega was kicking his butt
when the other characters were fighting the giant
bull. Which started yet annother grudge and also gave
us the line "WHAT! You cant talk with a gun in your
Mouth?" i wont go into that however as it would take
too much time. Any way the characters evded burning
Down the Ranch which pissed vega off. The guy they
came to find was killed in the fire and neumerous
servants too so now TQD was wanted by the Athorities.
He finaly made it to chicago and found Bat-man. Who if
he was to teach TQD he had to act like Robin for 1
week and he did. Any way after he learned Flaiming
Tiger Knee he fought with this Special forces guy whi
had a monky in his coat who packed an Uzi the monky
would go out and lay supressing Fier while the Dulest
guy would lay the smack down (Thats right TQD joined
the dulest tourny for the greater challenge) nhich
spawned yet another line "Give me the gun little
monkey! Blam Blam Blam!" He lost that fight and just
after getting out of the hospital he went to Duck
Kings Night club. Any way Vega and balrog were there
on asignment to assasinate TQD they were dressed as
female fans (like i said My game is crazy.) anyway
vega comes up and says that (s)he and her girl friend
wanted to meet the great TQD At this point i had TQD's
player roll to see threw the disguise he made it An
than asked "is the African american woman was wearing
boxing gloves?" which i replyed "yes"and than let out
a Discouraged sigh like he was going to walk over no
matter what happened. Well to make a long story short
TQD got vegas claw stabbed into his brain which dident
kill him instead it made him Stupid and crazy from
brain damage. after about a month the characters went
to see how TQD was doing and after the brain sergery
rnd extencive Chi Kung Healing he was fine (except for
-2 int) any way one of the NPC's was challenging vega.
She managed to score a KO cause she was one of the
masters of the Cart-wheel kick light feet cheese.
TQD snapped seeeing the one who cost him so much he
quickly bribed the medic to turn the other cheek while
he kidnaped vega. anyway after shooting vega in the
head (he lived and started talking to his claw like in
the movie and his appereance was dropped to a meer
5.)the other players had to Kick some TQD butt. Anyway
after getting out of the luny-ben a couple game months
later he got out and seemed better. untimm the King of
fighters tourny when he decided to do a whole bunch of
PCP to win fights. Any way one of the really bad assed
pc's put him down after a verry licky fight.
He escaped the ambulance and than Quin from the above
description used san he to stop the Vehickle and the
drive shaft went threw TQD's chest from the reck. He
survived yet again! but he came back as a shadowloo
cyborg that heated all things Beautifle which made him
remember his old grudge aganst Jordan. Any way he was
finaly kiled after jordan subdued him and annother
Wrestler pc went crazy and sustained held him untill
he was at -15 health. i finaly said thats it he had to
    die from that! Poor TQD.

Shin: Well crap, That describes shins life to a T, Ant
way shin was one of the 3 addopties of jordan allong
with jue-lyn and May-lyn. Any way shin is this huge
fan of dan (yes that dan!) Well he is always trying to
prove his worth to dan. any way to date shin is
undefeathed and is rank seven. Shin has to date done
the following. Traveled threw time, been trancformed
into a girl been transformed into a Chicken. Traveled
to a secret shadowloo base on the moon. and last but
not least had a messed up delusion about being Tuxedo
mask. needless to say Shins life is messed up!

Sue-lyn & may-lyn: Their evil little chinese girls
that dim macl people and steal their wallets.

Joseph: The closest thing to a main villan our game
ever had. THis is the guy who smoked TQD. HE made evil
plan after evil plan he dressed up like Wolfgang
Krauser and Beat andi bogard into a coma he was also
In love with cammy. The funny thing about Joseph was
the fact that he was freaked out about gaining weight
after each meal he would go and pump iron for likr 1
houer and thant for light stumm like 1 carrot stick.
he never ate meat, and he loved body building
suplaments, and he wrote a book called Josephs guide
to life which he would always Quote from. And he loved
cammy cause she would Exercize as much as him. One
time he got drunk and proposed to her 5 times in one
night. That was the last and only time he got drunk.
Recently when cammy told him that she was in love with
someone else he went into hideing and reserfaced later
more buffed and became A P.E. teacher at Shin and
    Sue-lyns school.

Eric-McGlock:(AKA McGlock the crime dog AKA the prince
of shadowloo.) ah erich the illagitimate son of
    M-Bison
and Rose. He is a good person but is getting seduced
by shadow loo. Recently he has uncovered and ancient
style that strangly resembles Ley-drit he is
    investigating it right now.

Billy McRonin: a drunken Scotish sambo practishoner if
there ever was one. Josephs partner in evil. (for some
reson every wrestler anyone ever rolld up was evil.)
any way even billy wasent immune to josephs evil. He
once convinced Billy that they should act honorable
knowing full well that he wouldent be able to do it
withough going nuts you see billy beat up innocnt
people to plow off stress. and sence he couldent peat
up people any more he went bonkers. Recently through
Shadowroo he has been indorcing his new Booze "St.
    Willliams irish Wisky"

    Honerable mentiones:

Ramero Diez: Always trying to sneak into bars to get
drunk, he is 15 once he actually made it and woke up
in bed next to a 40 year old woman. He snuck outa bed
and was ticked cause he was saveing himself for his
    wedding night.

Kaechi Nakamura: The only Dulest in the game as far as
Pc's went. He is in love with Sue-Lyn but hated
Mey-lyn(who loves him by the way). Which has made for
    some humerous confusion.

Sumo Santa: This evil sumo wrestler that beleives "no
one will hit santa" he was the villan for the
    christmas episode.

San Chun: Not to memorable except for the fach he is
Sue-lyns and may-lyns sensai and he knows the death
tough. Fist of the north star style.

    Well thats eanough for now.

I think the "official" company line is that he's always Shin-Akuma, he just
refuses to fight at that level until he has a worthy opponent (say, Ryu)...

I think Tecmo has made big mistakes with the gameplay versus the last few
    bosses.
DOA2: Hardcore blurred the screen which was just plain annoying.

Now with DOA3 they make the perspective so that you have no real idea how
far away you actually are from him and it's bloody painful looking at the
screen. (Your viewpoint is from your character's ankles for some godawful
    reason.)

Yeah - I've got to agree with him. Considering that the maximum health
levels is 20 and E. Honda's slap does 21 dice of damage against someone with
a Stamina of 5, Super Combos aren't necessary. Dee Jay's does... What? 15
dice? Any multiple-hit move will do devastating damage in the hands of a
master. After soak, Balrog's Turn Punch at maximum count does 15 dice. Dee
Jay's Hyperfist does that amount without the waiting. Zangief's Spinning
Piledriver does 16 to Ryu, Honda has one that does 21. Vega, with his light
feet and claws, will do, assuming Ryu gets close, (9 dice/hit-Stamina or 5)
times 8 or possibly even 10. That's a whopping 32 dice of damage against
Ryu, possibly 40! On 40 dice, you should do 20 successful rolls against a 6
    and 4 botches.
Against Supernaturally tough people, like Sagat, Bison, Zangief or the
like, the single big damage is the way to go. Honda, against Vega's claw,
would take 20 dice of damage at max and only 8-10 dice of damage(Less, if he
botched one of his 1 dice rolls) if he used Toughskin. Compare that to 11
dice, with a much lower chance of botching, against Balrog's turn punch, or
    12(50 % more) against Zangief's Spinning Piledriver.

Call it the Math-dude in me. I can't help but calculate odds. This is,
incidentally, why I -hate- that damn Cartwheel kick. It is so far and away
the most devastating maneuver in existence, being not only a multi-hit
maneuver that's super cheap but also part of a style that has Light Feet
-and- a bonus to damage -and- a bonus to move. Turbo Spinning Clothesline?
-1 move +0 damage. Tumbling Attack? +0 move, -1 damage. Cartwheel Kick? +1
damage +-4- move. That's 4 extra attacks beyond the Tumbling Attack. That's
+2 dice of damage on every attack that would normally hit. And it only costs
2 points and can easily be gotten at character creation. I don't know who
invented it, but I hate that maneuver with such a passion, I have banned it
unilaterally from all my games and declared Ninjas null and void. 'Sorry.
    They don't exist.'

Have a con coming up in a month, I'm running a Streetfighter game
there. Anybody near Dallas please show up. I've got 6 characters
written up, rather experienced. Wanted to get opinions:

    Overkill (pankration)
True brick, Block 5, Stamina 5, extremely basic moves, most are
generic moves. Maka Wara and toughskin and 20 health, you'd have to
do some serious damage to dent the guy.

    Hack (boxing)
Straight up boxer, lots of speed and punching. High athletics give
him mobility, and lots of comboes give him firepower.

    Rictus (kung fu)
A cybernetic staff wielding psuedo-bad guy. No projectile weapons,
but high toughness and fast move allow him to get close to thwack
people. Based on Ray Park in a bit part he had in a batman movie.

    Outback (special forces)
Guile with an Australian accent, but with more emphasis on focus
attacks. Ripped a few attacks from Australian animals, like
stunning shout from Kookaburra and lightning leg from kangaroo.

    Feronia (ninjitsu)
    pure cheese(cake), a cat/fire elementalist/ninja. Any more aerial
and her feet wouldn't touch the ground. Lacks heavy attacks, but
makes up for it with lots and lots of multihit maneuvers.

    Kimmi (wu shu)
Fastest of the lot, can deal it but can't take it. More than a few
block maneuvers, and lots of gimmick attacks to ignore block or get
    her out of the way.

either way it looks like youve got a nice variety.

    I would add 2 though:

A typical shotokan guy because ppl who havent played the rpg before
    will expect it.

And a not-so-typical shotokan guy because ppl who havent played the
rpg before will expect the above.
