it didn't happen in the series; it happened in my campaign. Vega had a bomb in the Sistine Chapel and called the Vatican to report it, so when Cammy had his line traced and went to the hotel room the call emanated from, one of Vega's ninja pegged her with a poison dart.

Maby they do have a deal with Capcom, but that dosn't matter. Capcom own the Street Fighter licence, thats it, nothing else. Capcom have absolutly no rights to SFRPG at ALL. The publisher would need a deal with WhiteWolf(which I'm sure they dont) & a deal with Capcom. Dennis ______________________________________________________

Though they aren't dedicated martial arts RPGs, several game systems have MA sourcebooks: GURPS Martial Arts HERO Ultimate Martial Artist (soon available in both HERO and Fuzion versions) Fuzion has many many Martial Arts plug-ins available on the Internet. I've just finished converting the WoD Combat rules to the Star Wars/d6 system (found at http://www.europa.com/~conkle/starwars/rules.html) Heh, even TWERPS has Kung Fu Dragons. ----------------------------------------------------- Christian Conkle Web Development Specialist Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory work: conklec@... home: conkle@... -----------------------------------------------------

I'd like to apologize for my lack of appearance at the past two online sessions.  My ISDN line suddenly decided to stop working and Bell Atlantic took about five days to diagnose and fix the problem.  I *just* got back online this morning after losing my 'net access on Saturday afternoon.

Well, if the characters from EX are enjoyable, there's no reason to
exclude them from the game. For the love a' Mike, I've seen people
patch in King Of Fighters Characters and still run it.

In fact, the EX characters are a part of my universe, so y'all best
study up if you wanna play. :)

Incidentally, the next (hopeful) time for the New LEgends Online
Campaign session is tomorrow, Saturday at 10 pm Eastern Central time.
This Wednesday's session was a fiasco, as only TWO out of four
players showed up. I won't get into how annoyed I get when that
happens, so I'll just say I hope to see you all there.

Darrick

Never used tham in any of my games yet.

Hmmm...

Here's a question for folks... how many utilize the rules from White Wolf
suppliments in a SF game? Not so much the setting or character types, bu the
fact that mechanics are.. well... updated occasionally in other White Wolf
Storyteller games?

U all know wgat I feel about crossovers so don't get me started...

Rules and stuff. The SF set of rules is slightly inadequate in some
aspects. When I come across one of those minor flaws, I might use
some rules. The Repair Skill comes to mind. Apart from that I don't
use other WW stuff, no. I re-write merrily on my own, thank you.

I think one of the things Chris (and Kris) may be referring to include the Blind Fighting skill.  Nowhere in any SF supplement does it have any rules system as to how this skill works, leaving it up to the hands of the referee.

on the other hand, turn to the section on Skills in the Vampire Player's Guide and bing; rules for Blind Fighting.

Who'd lift 'em if they didn't make their own?  I would.

Actully, Ive seen the rules for blind fighting only once. I cant remember if it was in Secrets of Shadoloo or The Majestic Crow Book(Forgot its proper name.)
but it's simple. Difficulty to hit is increased for those whodont have blind fighting.

Rules and stuff. The SF set of rules is slightly inadequate in some
aspects. When I come across one of those minor flaws, I might use
some rules. The Repair Skill comes to mind. Apart from that I don't
use other WW stuff, no. I re-write merrily on my own, thank you.

flaws, and how no one can figure out the blind fighting rule, can someone
tell me if they have some merits and flaws for SF??? if not, i have to come
with my own for the LARP i'm trying to put together from my three books.

Just adapt the Merits and Flaws from the other WW games.. they all
have the same basic retinue just ignore anything that's specific to
Vamps, Garou, Mages, Fey or whatever.. You might find more Merits and
flaws that are suitable to SF in Mage as mages are mortal (usually)
and are the most like SF's in my opinion. What other White Wolf
characters can easily throw fireballs? And although the systems aren't
exactly compatable the character creation process is the same for all
White Wolf games so that should include the Freebie point/ Merits and
Flaws part as well. I've used Merits and Flaws in SF before..
Psychological, Mental, Aptitudes, and Physical M&F would be best for
SF's...

Check some of the Street Fighter STG sites, 2 or 3 of them have
extensive lists of SF specific Merits & Flaws.

Okay-

I will be posting New LEgends Sourcebook version 3 on my homepage in
the next week or so. It has a big list of new, entirely homebrewed
Merits and Flaws including Photographic Reflexes, Shame, and (I'm not
kidding) Patrick Duffy for a Leg.

Later,

Darrick

PS: And Steve? Don't worry about missing. Although I do enforce a
strict no-show policy.

Miss Once without notification: Nothing much happens.
Miss Twice WON: Your character is subject to my whims. :)
Miss Three times WON: At this point, your character serves the game
better as a plot device then as a PC, so if things get slow, the next
part of the storyline may very well focus around the rest of the party
avenging your character's death.

But since you had a actual valid excuse, don't worry about it. :)

Next game session is up in the air, although I will be available the
weekend of the 24th. Anyone is welcome ot join, so e-mail me ASAP with
a level 5 pregenerated character. Depending on when we can play, I
believe I can only run one or possibly two more sessions before I lose
net access for the summer. Whether or not we continue next semester is
entirely up to the players.

Hitting, moving, etc. Im thinking of starting up another campaign and would
like to try with out the hex map.

Thanks for your help

    To get this over with...

Here are the M&F from the page below, a bit tidied up but intact. I
do believe some of the sentences ended in a slightly incorrect way
but that's not my problem ;)

There is a humungus list of M&F in the Warrior's World netbook. It
was re-posted on this list some months ago but I seem to have lost it
anyway (kinda embarrasing considering I was one of the guys
    asking for it...).

So... could someone be so kind as to re-post. *Again*. In .doc format
or something equally generic (I usually prefer .rtf but my computer
has given me attitude when it comes to .rtf lately).

Comments on Merits and Flaws. They do add a certain touch to the
game. But be careful though. If you suddenly have of team of Iron
Fists, your players certainly hasn't understood the fun in M&F :|

    Kristofer

P.S. All that remains now is one reply and a Warrior's World
attachment and we've got one lucky Street Fighter out there! (can't
remember your name, sorry.) So come on! Post it and we're done!

    Hey,

Okay, a quick scan of the list confirms that the message I posted
before leaving for the weekend did not go through. Here is a summary.

My sourcebook New Legends contains many, many homebrewed Flaws and
Merits, including Photographic Reflexes, Oblivious, and Patrick Duffy
    for a Leg (not kidding).

Concerning the next playdate for New Legend Online ( the now regularly
running online campaign) I'm looking at probably this upcoming
Saturday. However, since a few players seem to have time conflicts, I
am prepared to run it on perhaps Friday night. All regular players
please notify me as to availability.

As for new players, this is a good time to jump in. So e-mail me a
RANK 5 character, using the pregeneration tables. I will need
    confirmation by this Wednesday night.

    See ya there,

    Darrick

No. No one is dead. We're all quite alive.

I've been looking at both Big Eyes Small Mouth and Hong Kong Action Theatre
and have been contemplating converting various rules from the games to
either Fuzion (for Cyberpunk or Mekton) or Street Fighter.

Namely: the Attributes/Defaults from BESM and the Signatures from HKAT, some
of which aren't realistic, nor are they supposed to be, but exactly simulate
    their respective genres.

Also of note for HKAT is the Studio System, where characters are different
CHARACTERS from game to game (different stories and settings and characters,
same stats), and have to pay Star Power Points (like Experience Points) to
get the good roles or can save them by taking bad roles and use them during
play or save them up for better roles later on.

Yah its a neat system first time we played it was a blast.
Three characters spent there star oints right away.
One guy used his star points to make someone fail on there stunt.
That guy then retaliated by having the cops show up t capture the people he was
    chasing
(The first guy) The cops showed up right away and pulled there sht guns on them.

and finally one of the people who was playing a partner to the first guy(and was
in trouble cause of the cops) Spent hs star point s to change the script so that
one of the other players had by chance lost his bazzoka.(With which the first
guy picked up before the cops could shoot, said his tag linen and fired killing
    all the cops)

    What a Game!

    Greetings.
I am a fan of both Street Fighter and of White Wolf's storytelling
games, and I was wondering, looking at these messages: are you folks
playing an online version of Street Fighter:STG(via e-mail or whatever)?
If so, then may I join in? I would very much enjoy creating a character
(or choosing a prefabricated fighter/World Warrior, if that's the case).
I look forward to hearing about it soon!
    Thanks!

their status to 'bouncing' so they wouldnt get any messages. Kristofer, you
were one of them. I had to reset the status back to active, I thought it
would do it itself once a message could get through. Apparently that wasn't

Subject: Bad News and Good News
    Hey guys,

AS you can probably tell from the subject heading, I have some bad
news. Specifically concerning this weekend's planned online game.
Sadly, this weekend is the last I have at school, and therefore, the
last weekend I have with my regular gaming group. Not to mention it
is the last weekend before finals. So, we are all planning something
and I am uncertain that I will be able to run the game this Saturday
night. If for some reasons plans change, I will jump onto the net at
11 pm Eastern Central. If no one is there, then I will not penalize
    them.
As for the good news, I believe that I have finally convinced my
technophobic patriarch (I call him Dad) to let me hook to the net at
home this Summer. AS a result, I will be able to run the online game
    this summer.
So, here's to hoping that the summer works out. If not, I won't be
posting to this list for a while (I'm getting bounced, anyway) but I
will try to keep in touch with a select group.

    See ya later,

    Darrick
