Me and my Pal... HerrTevik.... Has played a Medievil China based campaign in Streetfighter... We created a whole new world... The Island we based the Campaign on had seven Warring Clans... They had all their special martial arts expertise... Except red... who varied the mopst of them all...
Black was of course demon hunters... ^_^

There were martial artist everywhere and lots of them used weapons...
Weapons is dangerous They do aggravated.... Blargh!!!

Focus maneuvers flourished...

We even made LOTS of new maneuvers including weapon maneuvers...

We were very inspired by movies as Storm riiders ,Sword of many loves nad Zu-Warriors of the Magic Mountain....

We even made new backgorunds for being Monks, ogres, etc...

It ruled.... Absolutely worth a try...

I was browsing through my copy of Secrets of Shadoloo and came across
the Alien Meteorite. It says that in future supplements more info
would be released. Of course no further supplements were released. I
was just wondering if any storyteller on this list has came up with
their own story or addition on to this. If so would you please email
it to me because I'm very interested to see what you came up with if
anything.

To the best of my knowledge, they just released the one book...leaving
anything else pretty open-ended.

The new, 3E Oriental Adventures uses the same world as the Legend of the
Five Rings RPG does. Personally, I think that might be a good thing,
though I'm as big a fan of Kara-Tur, Shou Lung and Kozakura as anyone.

I'm sure once more people start popping in regularily the channel will have
more activity.
Didn't someone here once have a dicerolling script? Perhaps we should get

Well, in the discussion I had with the list regarding my PC who would
be a former Shadoloo soldier, I heard of a few kind o' cool ideas...
some my own, some not...

1) The meteor is actually a living entity
2) The meteor is pure chi, given physical form, though corrupted by
Bison's presence
3) The meteor is a probe for an alien gladiatorial race
4) The meteor is simply one of a series; other odd artifacts from
ancient, lost religions across the world have similar uses... and
when all are brought together... a gateway is opened, or something
(think Dragonball or something).

There were others, but I cannot recall them right now...

One of my favorites was when word leaked out about the meteor and every
Shotoclone, Ninja, government agent, Yakuza, Sailor Scout, Champion of Justice,
and Player Character converged on Mirganka intending to steal or destroy it.

When they finally fought their way to the deep inner chamber that housed the
meteor, they found the giant glowing rock... with an armed thermonuclear bomb
with the timer on five minutes and counting and a small note.

The note said: "Gotcha"

One of my PCs snagged a piece of the rock and escaped. It turned out to be
ordinary uranium. The entire Mystic Meteor thing was a hoax.

It also wiped out just about every single piece of opposition that Shadoloo
had, leaving the PCs and a few late comers who arrived just in time to see the
big mushroom cloud.

One of my more successful scams, actually.

Hey, and now it's Easter ... perhaps I should get an upgrade on my web

Sure I do. Are you going for the Enlightened Dictatorship, or a
Technocracy? :-) To be frank (though I'm not Frank - he is), I do remember
an old review of Aria. If I remember correctly, it's where you guide (and
roleplay) a nation, isn't it? Sort of Diplomacy, but short on the people,
and long on the nations :-)

Anyways, they're doing a Ravenloft core book, too... too bad they
canked the Dune book, and are only doing the main Cthulu book...

IIRC, there's one in WWGS's library of RP stuff, contributors might have
gotten a copy, but it didn't go to final press because Capcom pulled the
plug. (That's right, one more week and it would have been released.)

Yeah, I just heard about OA myself. :) As for Cthulu, they had
planned on backing it up with support, but they decided to only do
the core book- along with canking the Dune RPG altogether (DOH!).
With their licensing rules though, I'm sure SOMEONE will add to it.
Ravenloft... I hope, as you said, WW doesn't turn it into a warring
clans thing.. they already have an RPG that does that. (Actually,
it's be Swords & Sorcery Studio, their subsidiary, wouldn't it?).

Actually they were never going to do more than the core book.  Chaosism who
makes Call of Cthulhu & Elric are doing a single d20 book for Cthulhu, their
hope is to get new readers for their own system so people will buy their
supplements and convert them or switch to theirs after trying d20-personally
I can't wait for it!  I have a CoC campaign all ready to go for when it comes
out.  Meanwhile they released Elric for d20 system as Dragonlords and THAT
they are supporting with supplements, but are also reprinting the Elric core
book w/ the chaosism rules (which suck for elric but are okay for cthulhu)-so
basically they'll have core books for each system but only d20 supplements
for Elric and only Chaosism supplements for Call of Cthulhu

Yeah, Yeah I know....

Ok, i think we all agree that capcom's timelines are screwed up, but I'm
still going to say what I know, so you can hold off the onslaught of "forget
it, it's not worth the effort" posts: About the ages of Ryu and co...if you
want nice hard ages you have to look at the Bio's given during the SF2
games. In that we find that Ryu was born on 21/7/64. That's great! But how
do we know when an event like the alpha tourni occured?...Well, look at
Cammy: she was born 6/1/74. So she's a dacade younger than Ryu ( they state
that she was 19 in SSf2 which came out in 1993). Now cammy has appeared
three times at the time of the Alpha tourni: XMvSF (yeah I know that it
isn't in the timeline, but I assume that they pulled all of the SF
characters out from Alpha time) Zero2 Alpha (gold), and now SFA 3. She is
stated to be 16 in the Alpha games. So this would put the alpha tourni
at.....1990. Hmm.... Does anyone remember me saying this before? ~_^ That
means that Sakura (also 16) was born in 1974, and that Ryu and Chun Li, 26
and 22 years old respectively during the Alpha games. Now, everyone knows
that i have pushed for a Once-evry-4years-WW-tourni (which very few people
agree with), base on the SF RPG....But since we seem to know now that The
Alpha took place in 1990 we see somthing very piculier; SF1, came out in
1986, SF alpha TOOK PLACE in 1990, and the last (there-by we assume the
tounri version) installment of SF2 came out in 1994. Hmm.... all at four
years apart ;). We will have to see if this holds true for the SF3 tourni.

-----------Remember guys this is only my opinion, and you're free to differ
from it if you like. ^_^

    Subject: Bouncer and Help!
    Folks-

Thos was discussed a bit ago but it's takem me a while to get this going.

Being one of the few people who liked The Bouncer for what is was (and the
fact that it plays out like one of my usual campaigns) I've decided to try
and translate as much as I can of the game into SF terms.

So far the only trouble I'm having is making sure who has what style.
Figured I could cull some assistance from those of you who played the game.
I've even readied some templates for the characters. So far I've got:

Sion: Decided to use my custom Kenpo setup for his moves. Figured using
common manuevers would account for the "basic street fighting" aspect of his
    style.

    Volt: Sambo or straight wrestling?

Kou: USing the tae kwon do kit from Warrior's World.

    Echidna: Capoeira, of course.

PD: THe game book says Muay Thai, which I agree with. I'll be adding
extendible limbs of course, though I think I may go from the cybernetic side
    of things.

What I'll need some help on:

    Dominique
    Mugetsu
    Dauragon (thinking wushu)
Leann Caldwell (haven't met her yet, but I suspect I may go with Special
    Forces)
Kaldea (again haven't met her, or least fought her in human form)

If anyone has any ideas of which styles best suit these characters, let me
know. I'm not too keen on constructing entirely new styles at this point in
    life.

BTW, I'd like to post this on the yahoo groups site, but I can't seem to log
in. I had a yahoo mail name before the changeover, but it didn't work. Any
help on how to access the site would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hey Rinaldo-

Will you allow PCs to spend experience between rounds that they earn
    during these matches?

    Hey All
Been a while since I posted well I personally liked The Bouncer as well,
and I have torn the hell out of the game.

As far as martial art styles for the characters here is what I saw.
By the way this will be a spoiler for anyone that has not finished the game
    sorry........
Dominique Cross is a robot with a special forces style, and perhaps a
cybernetics of 5 since she is a robot. Give her fireball and make it look
like laser eyes and you are good to go.

Mugetsu is obviously special forces with a lot of Athletics as a fall
    back.

Kaldea should be the same style as Sion, with an animal Shapeshifting
power. sorry your on your own on that for now.

Duragon C. Mikado As far as Duragon I am not sure he should have a high
Whip/Chain technique and kicking skill. Perhaps TKD or Wu Shu, Actually the
more I think of it I think he may be a good Western Kickboxing stylist.

And lastly I think you are alone with Lean cause I am not sure.
This is all I can say I hope it helps

    Later.
