You keep on about not having enough fighters, can we enter more than
one fighter into your tournament?

I have a mechanics question about range.
When counting the range to hit a target with fireball, do you only need
to count to an adjacent hex or into the hex of the target?

How about extendible limbs?

it doesnt say where to start either.
with a fireball or extendibe limbs do you start counting from your
hex to an adjacent one is "1".

or do you assume you can already hit something in an adjacent hex
with a "normal" move so you START counting in an adjacent hex...

I think as an example it says "kens fireball can hit an opponent X
hexes away!!"
so you could look to the example and kens sheet to see.

probly an example like that under ex limbs too for dhalsim.

just see how they do it in the examples (im at work so i dont have my
books with me) to calculate where they started and finished counting.

Reshma, I know your pain.....I spent a good part of two years trying to
track it down, myself. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, this CD is pretty
hard to find. I just happened to find it myself while at a anime convention
last spring.

The Movie itself is around 7 years old, and so the soundtrack has been
around for awhile. Your best bet may be to try online anime
dealers......www.animenation.com has it featured on their CD listing but
I've personally ordered from animenation twice...both times the items were
out of stock.

I'd try any Japanese cultural centers or bookstores around....but a seven
year old album is a little tricky to find. Although I live in the midwest,
where imports are a little harder to come by than say, the east coast or
whatnot.

And then there's always eBay.....not always reliable, tho.

My two cents..hope it helps!

here's how I see it.

you can strike someone in an adjacent hex because your limb is long enough
to extend into your target's hex. the exception to this is a Grab, since
you can't grab someone at arm's length; you have to be very close.

Thus, to use any attack, it has to enter an opponent's hex. This includes
fireballs and extendible limbs... so you cannot merely count to the hex
adjacent to your opponent, as that is where the limb/projectile will end up,
which is not where the opponent is.

I have the cassette for Street Fighter V, it was free mail in offer from the
last video tape.  There is definitely a Street Fighter II soundtrack.  I'd
recommend trying Napster before ordering it overseas-most anime or video game
mags have ads in the back for japanese imports-they usually list the final
fantasy soundtracks because they're most popular but if you inquire most
offer other anime soundtracks as well.

Subject: need to run something by you guys
I just want to run this by you guys and get your opinion.

I do not normally watch Television, but I was at a friend's house
after work and saw my first episode of Survivor. I said to my
self "Self, we could use that . . but how?"

So I pulled out my old Tekken Game Write up, and feverishly began to
brainstorm; this is what I got so far:

U L I T A M A T E S U R V I V O R
S E R I E S T O U R N A M E N T

8 Fighters enter a rich mans tournament on a strange island off the
coast of Australia. His name is Henry Jenkins, a tycoon that made his
money the old fashion way; he was born into it.

Jenkins considers himself the Champion and the best competitor of the
8 will face his bodyguard, Kahn, and then Jenkins himself.

There is an entry fee of $50,000 US dollars, or you must be invited
(very rare). The prize, a cool $1,000,000 in US dollars.

Round 1
All 8 fighters go into the battle area, a 20 by 20 hex battlefield (I
will add stuff here for fun). They fight until only 1 person is left,
the rest are KO'd. The 7 that lost must then fight their secondary
match. They choose from a list of fighters who wanted to be in the
tournament but could not afford the fee (no sense in letting go home
yet, if they win they can get as much as $5000 US dollars). The order
they choosein, is the order they lost; first to lose is the first to
pick. Should none of the 7 lose all their names go into a lot and 1
tag is drawn out randomly to be eliminated from the tournament. If
only 1 person loses, they are automatically kicked out.

Round 2
All 7 fighters that remain go into the battle area and again fight
until there is only 1 left standing. The 6 that were beaten, now face
a second bunch of fighters who could not afford the entrance fee,
they can earn up to $6000 US dollars by beating one of the 6. Should
none of the 6 lose all their names go into a lot and 1 is drawn out
randomly to be eliminated from the tournament. If only 1 person
loses, they are automatically kicked out.

Round 3
All 6 fighters that remain go into the battle area and again fight
until there is only 1 left standing. The 5 that lost now face a third
host of warriors, who could not afford the entrance fee, They can
earn up to $7000 US dollars by beating one of the 5. Should none of
the 5 lose all their names go into a lot and 1 is drawn out randomly
to be eliminated from the tournament. If only 1 person loses, they
are automatically kicked out.

Round 4
All 5 fighters that remain go into the battle area and again fight
until there is only 1 left standing. The 4 that lost now face
fighters that could not afford the entrance fee; they can earn up to
$8000 US dollars by beating one of the 4. Should none of the 4 lose
all their names go into a lot and 1 is drawn out randomly to be
eliminated from the tournament. If only 1 person loses, they are
automatically kicked out.

Round 5
All 4 fighters that remain go into the battle area and again fight
until there is only 1 left standing. The 3 that lost now face
fighters that could not afford the entrance fee; they can earn up to
$9000 US dollars by beating one of the 3. Should none of the 3 lose
all their names go into a lot and 1 is drawn out randomly to be
eliminated from the tournament. If only 1 person loses, they are
automatically kicked out.

Round 6
All 3 fighters that remain go into the battle area and again fight
until there is only 1 left standing. The 2 that lost now face
fighters that could not afford the entrance fee; they can earn up to
$10000 US dollars by beating one of the 2. Should neither of the 2
lose, they fight a best of 3 match, loser is kicked out of the
tournament. If only 1 person loses, they are automatically kicked
out. The loser of this match gets a free invite to the next
tournament.

Round 7
The last 2 fighters now face off in a best of 3 match. The loser of
this match gets a free invite to the next tournament.

Round 8
The winner of round 7 now must face Kahn, Jenkins body guard, in a
best of 3 match. The loser of this match gets a free invite to the
next tournament.

Round 9 Final Round
If they are able to beat Kahn, they get their shot against Jenkins
for his $1 million US dollars prize. This is a best of 3 match. The
loser of this match gets a free invite to the next tournament. The
winner defends their title.

Subject: Gateway Tournament
I´m happy with all movements about this tournament, I just want known the system is the same thing like the first ediction of Gateway Tournament.
I will make tournament using 32 fighters, I will add human players to the list when I receive them of course I will not wait forever, but don´t worry I will warning about deadline.
The tournament have two large groups Occident Group and Oriental Group. You known if you´re a Japanese you will enter in the Oriental Group, and If you´re an North American you will enter in Occident Group.
When I receive all human players and finish all npc´s I will take the characters names and make the Oriental Group and Occident Group, after this will build small groups with 4 fighters each in total 8 groups with four fighters each. In this groups all fighters will fight against other, and I will see the fighter with more wins will continue to the next stage remaing 16 fighters then will make a random selection and see who fight against who, now the thing is eliminatory who wins continue and go to next stage remaing 8 again they will fight after a random selection to see who fight against who and who wins go ahead to next stage remaing 4 fighters from this stage will rest 2 fighters and in the end the Great Champion.

Other thing I need known the origin country of each fighter if someone forget, just e-mail and tell me.

In this update I add few npc´s just to people known. Hey J.S.Pittman, if you want a description of npc´s just let me known.

Just for the record, the tournament that Rinaldo is running just started back up again.  Its not the only thing that happens here though.  Not a lot has been happening lately though as things seemed to have slowed down.  Check out the archive at www.yahoogroups.com.

Well, actually I do. If you point your browser at my page

pages, you'll see a new link there that's called "Campaign". That's where
I'm currently putting my stuff up for SF: Tien Tao, which is the new
setting I'm currently developing for the campaign I'm running. There are a
few empty pages there, there are a couple of placeholders - but I'm going
for that Shanghai 1923 feel for it all, spiced up with Mortal Kombat ;-)

Never said I was sane.

Also, a lot of the others are continually putting up things on their
various web-pages - but I'm sure they'll use this opportunity to market
their own pages ;-)

Neither. Good ol' fashioned dice-on-the-table. Sorry for not making that
crystal clear. Thing is, I have a nasty tendency of writing up all sorts
of stuff for my campaigns - and this time I thought I'd just put it all on
my web page as I finished my notes. Usually I write in Norwegian (well,
dah), but I thought I'd just do it all in English this time. I'm too lazy
to translate my notes anyways - and I've found that it doesn't really
translate well...

Heh. I should really be in bed right now. Anyways, it's a bit bare of
stats right now, and that's because my players are really, really hung up
on stats. Therefore I won't provide any - not yet anyways. Spares me the
trouble of inventing the game mechanics ofor the maneuvers as well - I
just invent cool-sounding names, decide that those maneuvers are really
baaaad, and then I make up the game mechanics when I have to :-)
