If Mike Haggar gained popularity as a Street Fighter, then how would that
affect his reputation as a mayor since technically Street Fighting is
illegal and still remains underground?

I'm not saying politicians can't be street fighters or vice versa, i just
think it's humerous to have a hulking sanbo stylist as a mayor. :)

Hmm. Good point hehe. Of course there are people who do know about Street
Fighting, and it seems that in Slammasters it's pretty well known actually
since Gunloc is "rumored to be related to a famous Street Fighter." So
people *do* know about it, and it is possible to be famous over it, but as
long as the authorities can't *prove* it, then they can't stop him from
doing anything.

In any event, I have had to change my own background for Haggar around a
bit. At the time of the first Final Fight, he's already been a Street
Fighter and a Slammaster, and when his term is up he decides not to run
again, at which time he goes back to the Slammasters. After that, he decided
to run for another term as mayor (for Final Fight 3).

That's right. After all, if our world and the Street Fighter world would be
one in the same, Haggar would have been successful before Jesse Ventura.

Nobody's mentioned this...There was a near-perfect translation of Final fight
for Sega CD (Mega CD in Japan). All three characters, Rolento's level, Poison
and Roxy(the street chicks that were converted to guys in the SNES version
here), and a time trial mode. Two player too. But there's no SegaCD emulator

I'm just going to have the Capierist in our group eventually convert to the
Soul Power style posted recently. Shhh... he doesn't know it yet. I mean I
feel bad for the guy he keeps buying focus maneuvers at the "any" cost and he
picked possibly the worst fighting style to do it. Not sure why he feels the
urge to go that direction but it's been working out really well in game so
Rose may just pay him a visit...

I have Kensei and I think it rocks. If you look at it versus Tekken you will
find many down points, but just looking at it as new and different game its
very fun and addictive. I still play that whenever company comes over. Games
like that and Shadow Struggle(another one of those offbeat Games) Deserve
alot of credit. I would definately like to see how well Yugo would do
against a world warrior.

I've heard Cody being called a "brawler" meaning he has no style, but that
wouldn't account for his tornado uppercut (reminds me of Joe Higashi). I
think he should fight in either Western Kickboxing or some American form of
Karate (I really don't want ANOTHER Shotokan fighter in the group).

If you figure it out, could you then work on figuring out what state Raccoon

Because my Hd format I lost all Ages data but I already receive people
characters back but someones didn´t make it again but I put a list to
show the status of recover: I confess I don´t remember all characters
names but the players I could remember. Let´s see oh god now I don´t
remember the rest of the list but at this rate anyone can send a
character if I receive more subscriptions I just use more fighters.

Rebellion (Chris Hoffmann)- status recovered.
Joseph Masterson (Cliff Rice)- status recovered.
Hymamoto Suzuki (Jade M Prout)- status recovered.
The Dragon Reborn (Jens Arthur Leirbakk)- status need the character.
Delta (Josh Diemert)- status need the character.
Jim "Razorback"Bob Joe (Francis Black)- status need the character.
Sha Long (J.Scott Pittman)- stauts need the character.
The Ronin Character- status need the characeter.
Dennis Bryant- status need the character.
Jeff Y- status need the charater.
Luis Character- status need the character
now I realy forgot the rest people don´t get offend I´m realy don´t

nah, from what I've seen Drunken Fist (my favorite style, can you
tell?!) relies more on balance than anything else. It's mostly footwork
and the strikes require a combination of agility and strength (at least,
8 Drunken Genii does). I've heard conflicting stories about how it's
easier to fight with that style if you actually *are* drunk, though, and
since women are usually smaller than men they may get more drunk easier.
Who knows?

I *do* know the one time I used Juli on a team of Chinese fighters, she
confused the hell out of one of my less-experienced players. She didn't
know if Yuli was really drunk (she was observed putting away two
sixpacks of Tsingtao beer prior to the fight, pretty strong shit), it
was hard to tell when she dizzied her (Yuli was staggering around a lot
anyway), and half the time didn't know if it was okay to hit her or if
it would be dishonorable.

Very funny. Then again, I'm the GM. I'm allowed to laugh.

Nah. Definately not Western Kickboxing or Shotokan. I think it really sucks
that Capcom decided to put in a character from Final Fight and screw with
him that way. At least Guy was a good FF to SF conversion. Anyway, I'm
working on a new style that will be somewhat of a combination of karate and
boxing.

I just downloaded a SNES ROM last night called Final Fight: Guy.
It must be a special version cause it idn't have Cody, just Guy and Haggar.

I had no idea that Sodom was pulled from this game...? :)

Err...no. Not Illinois. The reason he says the same state as Springfield
from the Simpsons is because no one knows. They intentionally leave out the
state the Simpsons live in, and they used the town Springfield because there
are just so many Springfields in the United States.

Final Fight Guy was released only to video rental places, but some found
thier way to other markets. It was made because of all the complaints about
Guy being MIA, so they just took out Cody. Is Sodom missing? In the regular
Final Fight game for the SNES, with Haggar and Cody, Sodom is intact (though
they changed his name to Katana for rather understandable reasons), but
Rolento and his entire stage was pulled out.

As promised, I have made my web page easier to view. I'm still "shrinking"

the omission of the animated logo and the MUCH smaller background file. Let

bad workding on my part. Sodom is there, and his name is infact Sodom. When
I said he wasapulled from the game, I meant I had no idea that he actually
came from Final Fight. I figured he was just another new character Capcom
added to the SFA series.

Kind of upsetting how Mike Haggar is not in Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Yeah very much like Steven Segal, his hand movements always crack me up. I
don't like the the boss though he is strait up cheap.

Well, then, give him Kyokushinkai Karate, Ashihara Karate, Full-Contact
Karate, Mishima Karate (heh), or any of the TaeKwon-Do styles out
there. Perhaps even Jeet Kune Do. When in doubt, choose Jeet Kune
Do. EVERYTHING is Jeet Kune Do.

No kidding. But note that I said the original SNES version :)
His name was changed to Katana in the original SNES version. I should know,
since I do own that version. In the arcade, he is indeed Sodom. But you're
talking about porting it to the SNES...remember this is a company (Nintendo)
that had the idea that Mortal Kombat would sell just fine by removing the
gore and changing the fatalities.

heh. I sent that message prior to noticing that you were talking about
the SNES version. Final Fight (along with SF2) was the reason I bought
an SNES in the first place.

Never did beat the darn game. The flicker/slowdown during the end stage
was ridiculous.

Just in case anyone's interested, I have a web page that you can check out.
It deals with converting Rival Schools into Street Fighter: the Storytelling
Game. I have more stuff on the there than Chris Hoffman's link says. Right
now I have the stats for the main characters and a few of their moves
listed. I also have a few moves of my own and other moves needed to fight
in Rival Schools successfully. Anyway, check it out.

Heh...for me, I got me an SNES for Final Fight, U.N. Squadron, and Final
Fantasy II specifically.
Also, there's a Final Fight fighting game, Final Fight Revenge, in Japan. As
far as I know, not even the arcade version has been released in the U.S.,
and seeing as I don't have a Sega Saturn (yes Saturn, not Dreamcast), nor
the money to import the Saturn conversion of the same game, it won't effect
my Final Fight characters and such. Although it is kind of refreshing to see
a fighting game with Haggar (think SFEX with FF characters), as I think it's
way overdue.

You know, I just checked the internet for that game and I found it,
including a character select screen. The characters on it were: Hagger,
Cody, Guy, Andre(or Hugo), Sodom, Rolento, Poison, and three other bosses;
Eddie E., Elgado, and Damado. They also said it may still make it here on
the Dreamcast. Of course, I'm not sure how old the article is, but it
showed a picture of Poison hitting Andre with a Drason Punch.

Personally, I'm going to wait for it to come out on the PS2, if it comes out
at all over here in the U.S. I'm not shelling out for a Dreamcast, as the
PS2 is going to blow that thing away. Sony says that it won't be surprised
if Microsoft's X-Box will surpass the PS2, but I'll still be faithful to
Sony...after all, they'll be getting the new Squaresoft games, as well as
the new Metal Gear, and they'll most certainly have Street Fighter games.
Hopefully, Capcom will make a conversion of Final Fight Revenge for the PS2,
and hopefully it will make it's way here.
But since that hasn't happened, and it hasn't been confirmed, I'm still
going to rely on myself for the Final Fight WP.

Announcement from Hyamamoto Suzuki's manager:

"Ghost Bear has accepted challenge from Giant Suzuki! Where is Ghost Bear? Where he at? Suzuki gonna put him in a hurt-locker and throw away key! Do not bring children to fight, or they will grow up irrevocably scarred and maladjusted from the grisly horror that will surely unfold!

"But until then, Suzuki would like to read for you selection from his new book of haiku..."

Suzuki, the size of Andre the Giant, emerges from a tent... and the crowd murmurs in amazement. He's simply huge. He is wearing a gold-embroidered black silk robe and matching hand-painted sandals. He clears his throat and begins:

His manager again: "You hear that, sucka?"
