...in addition, the Player's Guide states the Elementals NEVER practice Ler
Drit. This is tricky to judge, since Psychokinetic Channeling DOES have an
"Any" cost, which leads one to believe that other styles may or may not need
to use Ler Drit's psychic training techniques to access it. However, since
it IS a Ler Drit maneuver (with the exception of Baraqah), one would assume
that the use of the maneuvers is mutually exclusive.

Besides, from a story point of view, how can you channel two totally
different types of energy from your hands AT THE SAME TIME? I can't chuck
an Ice Blast and Fireball simultaneously, and one would assume this is the
same thing.

This is a grey area. The descriptions of these maneuvers state that you can
use them on any Basic Maneuver. The question is, however, whether you can
select several of them and use them on the SAME basic maneuver. I have
always said that you can't... for precisely the reasons we've just
witnessed. My reason for disallowing is that once you apply a Special
Maneuver to a Basic Maneuver, that Basic Maneuver becomes a Special Maneuver
and therefore disallows piling any more Special Maneuvers on top of it.
Jump is a special case; I would allow Jump to be added to any of these
special punches... EXCEPT Rekka Ken.

To review:

Basic Punch + Flaming Fist = Special Punch.
Special Punch + Psycho. Channeling = Illegal.

That's kinda tricky, the NPC in question is a Kung Fu stylist who learned
Psychokinetic Channeling from a Wu Shu Stylist, who learned it From a Jeet
Kune Do Stylist, I would assume the moves were slightly different, I mean
Wu Shu and Special Forces both get the Flying thrust kick, they probably
arent the SAME manevuer. . .I think you have a good point with the basic
maneuvers, but convincing my GM would be tougher. . . . .That would have
been a good thing to clear up in a second edition had they not cancelled
the game. . . . . .
Group: streetfighter Message: 6120 From: Fred Chagnon Date: 3/22/2000

] Okay I know this is not about the subject, but does anyone know where
] I can get the streetfighter book(RPG) from. I had tried to get it from
] ebay but was seriously out bidded. Any help would be appriciated.

One of the more commonly asked questions on this list, and difficult to
answer.
It took me a good two years to compolete my collection. I went from Comic
Shop to Comic Shop -- and got a lot of weird looks and exclamations..

I would get anything from
"WHITE WHOLF MADE A STREET FIGHTER SERIES????!!!"
to
"Ummm...no, that series was out of print years ago cause it didn't
sell...."
(I could tell they wanted to say IT SUCKS! Losers)

So between shops, conventions and ebay I finally managed to complete my
collection with books that are in fairly good condition.

I do have extra copies of the SF:STG Main Rule book and Secrets of
Shadoloo that I could afford to offlift, but I'm warning you they're in
rough shape. Not terrible, but enough to make me buy new ones when I saw
them.

(I think the SoS book is missing the first couple pages).

Let me know if you're interested.

Don't the rules say you can only spend one point of chi or willpower in one turn? I know there are two willpower moves & two chi moves, but that would be a special case.

GhostBear's response:

The other man in the ring smells of para-military from the way he dresses to
the way he holds himself. He might have been in a military once, but not
anymore. Allthough not a huge mountain of muscle like T. Hawk, GhostBear is
not small.
His Native American blood is all too apparent in his tanned skin, black
hair, and the cut of his facial features but any racial thoughts fly right
out the window as he flexes his massive muscles. The knuckles in his fists
crack as he balls them into fists like something out of a bad movie and he
quickly finishes stretching out his arms.
"Don't worry. I'll try to keep you face in a single piece."

Anyone see this movie yet? Man I loved it. Some of the fight scenes had
some cheese in it, but all in all, I thought it was really good. (Except for
one anoying thing but I'll let you watch it and make your own decision) Not
Oscar winning material by no means, but for an action movie, it rocked! Jet
Li is the man! I so want to play Street Fighter now.

I was wondering about the quality of the graphics design function.

How much variation is possible? Would I be able to put together a woman in a
buisness suit with a sceptor? A blind buisnessman with a walking stick?
Animalistic traits, specifically gold fur and a lion's head?

I'm kinda wondering if I could use it to make pictures of characters I play

uh... are we even talking about the same program? Fighter Maker for the PSX

here's a new Street Fighter song by J. Scott Pittman:

Combo #5
(to the tune of Mambo #5, by Lou Bega)

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Combo No. 5

One, two three four five,
everybody in the ring, common lets fight!
h'es trying hard to hide in the corner,
the boy wants to surrender but I really don't wanna,
take prisinors like I did last week,
I must be the champ cause talk is cheap,
I've beat Ryu, and Ken, and Bison, and Vega,
and as I continue, you know I gettin' betta',
So what can I do, I really thank you my lord,
you know to me street fightin is just like a sport,
I can't take five, it's all good,
let me jump in, and start thumpin,

A little slide kick close to the ground,
A spinning turbo round and round,
A little bit a' Block to give me Speed,
A lucky roll is what I need,
A little sonic boom to your face,
A little San He keeps me in place,
So bring it on, here I am,
A little Dragon Punch makes me Da Man!

Haaaa Yahhhhhh!
Combo No.5
Haaaa Yahhhhhh!

I jump up and down, and move all around,
I can jump projectiles, or crouch to the ground,
Ninjas on the left, and Ninjas on the right,
One to the front, and one to my side,
do this combo once, and do it twice,
and if it looks like this then you're doin' it right

A little slide kick close to the ground,
A spinning turbo round and round,
A little bit a' Block to give me Speed,
A lucky roll is what I need,
A little sonic boom to your face,
A little San He keeps me in place,
So bring it on, here I am,
A little Dragon Punch makes me Da Man!

Haaaa Yahhhhhh!
Haaaa Yahhhhhh!

Thumpin!
I'm Thumpin!

Combo No. 5
Hahaha, haha

A little slide kick close to the ground,
A spinning turbo round and round,
A little bit a' Block to give me Speed,
A lucky roll is what I need,
A little sonic boom to your face,
A little San He keeps me in place,
So bring it on, here I am,
A little Dragon Punch makes me Da Man!

I do, want to,
take the title from a punk like you,
you can run, and you can hide,
but you and me are gonna have to fight

Combo No. 5

and nothing else matters

took so long to get this way,
already had the first match today,
I gotta make this guy pay,
and nothing else matters

I'll use a few Chi, that's what I'll do,
this guy's hurt real bad, he's almost through,
if I don't he'll beat me to goo,
and nothing else matters

o'm'god what will he do?
what's his health? I don't know!
but I'm low

so close, but so far,
I'm the only one seeing stars,
he did a Fireball from ten hexes far,
and nothing else matters

o'm'god what will he do?
what's his health? I don't know!
but I'm low

I just felt my rib dislodge,
knew I shoulda learned to dodge,
called my manager mama, his name is Rodge,
and nothing else matters

he hit me not with one fist but with two,
never seen that move, it was new,
but I'll keep fighting, that's what I do,
and nothing else matters

I don't care what Rodge says,
I won't give up today,
I don't care what he can do,
I don't care what techniques he knows,
I won't fold!

yeah!

So close to Rank 6,
I just need to get in a few more licks,
I got a few more tricks,
no nothing else matters

OK, one more...

Fighter's got that (the Head Butt song)
to the tune of Baby Got Back by sir-mix-a-lot
by J. Scott Pittman

Oh my god! benny!
look at his head!
it is so big.
he looks like one of those Street Fighter guys.
But you know, who understands those Street Fighter guys.
they only fight him cause he looks like an easy fight, k?
I mean, his head, it's just so big, i can't beleive, it's just so round,
it's out there, I mean, uh, gross.
Look! He's just so, neandrathal!

I like Head Butts and I cannot lie
you other fighters cant deny
when a guy walks in with a mean lookin face
and a forehead like a mace
you get struck
no matter how tough
cause you know that head was rough
to the top of a head your starin'
it's not too well that you're farin'
and mabye
I'm gonna hit ya
with his head I'll git ya
You tried to punch but missed me
but that head I got makes you so dizzy
ooh! baldhead smoothskin,
I just felt it hit you again,
try to slap
and all that crap,
this aint the average skullcap,
I seen you fightin,
to hell with that fancy lightnin'
I'll win, once again,
my head's tougher than a turbo spin,
I'm tired of these sensi men,
saying kickin' is what's in,
Take the average loser, see what he said,
you gotta have a tough head
so masters
yeah!
masters!
yeah!
Have your students do head butt?
Hell yeah!
train it, Train it, Train that head to do a head butt!
Fighter got that!
(plus animal background but it makes you moodie)
(down boy)
(down boy)
Fighter got that!
(plus animal background but it makes you moodie)
(plus animal background but it makes you moodie)
I like skulls round, and big
and when I'm winnin a jig,
I just can't help myself, I'm like an animal,
with my head I'm a vandal,
I wanta' hit with skullbone,
and
ouch!
doubleup
oh! ow!
I aint talkin cybernetics boy,
cause bionics are made for toys,
I want em' real thick and numbskull,
a head like a battleship's hull,
then you're in trouble,
seein more stars than hubble,
so I'm lookin at fight videos,
with these sissy fighters usin' their toes,
you can keep those so-sos
I'll keep fighters with mojo
A word to the thickskull kind,
I wanna fight like-mind,
but our kind is hard to find,
but I gotta be straight when I say I wanna
crunch! pow!
to the break of dawn,
I got it goin on,
alot of fighters won't like this song,
cause them punks like to hit and quit it,
but I'd rather stay and play,
cause my head's strong,
like a gong,
been hit more times than ping-pong!
so ladies
yeah!
ladies
yeah!
do you wanna head hotter than hades?
hell yeah!
let me bend down, stick my neck out, even judo guys gotta shout

fighter's got that!
fighter's got that!

yeah baby, when it comes to head-bashin, the opponent's style aint got
nothin to do with my selection.
you got a head with spikes? dont matter to me

so your manager is still floggin
a few things about joggin
but joggin don't teach nothing about splittin head with your noggin
my mind don't want to learn none unless it's about head buttin, hun
you can do flash kicks or kippups, but please dont loose the head butt
some fighters want the honor role
and tell you that the head butt aint gold,
so they forget it, they leave it,
but they're suprised when they see it
so your opponent says you're slack,
well I aint down with that,
cause you did more damage than he did kickin,
and his pain's stickin,
to the protected heads in the ring,
you aint got a thing,
give me mister or sister,
my forehead can blister,
my knucklehead tried to miss,
but that's not on my list,
in the game it'll hit em,
just as soon as I get wit em'
so fighters if your head is round,
and you want a quick throw-down,
dial 1-800-hits-a-lot
and kick them nasty sots
Fighter got that!
Fighter got that!
Little in the middle but I got big hat!
Little in the middle but I got big hat!
Little in the middle but I got big hat!
Little in the middle but I got big hat!

Grrr.... guess I'll have to wait for the PS2 version then. The newer
wrestling games 'create-a-wrestler' option was what I thought Fighter Maker
had, although I suppose it was a lot to ask for. (Unfortunately, that option
for those games didn't suit me much.)

Stay far away from fighter maker, stay as far away as you can. . . .you
know someone should make a video game version of the street fighter RPG,
they could make a lot of money. . . . .

IF anyone here has any experience with c++ or other assembly languages, you
probably could make one. Course, it would take a while and you would need a
lot of play testers.

Just got back. Great movie. Sure gives you an apreciation of Wu-shu when
you see Jet Li in action.

Each fight sceene had some sort of neat twist to it.
(Lotta stunt cards involved. :))

Mike, I'm curious to know what you thought was annoying if want to email

Cheers everyone!

Well, one could always make an add-on for the upcoming Redemption for VtM or
Heart of Gaia for Werewolf. (The later would probably be easier, with the
former a bit better at the RPG aspects.)

Of course, if one wanted to make a little multplayer internet game that is
little but a hexmap with a changeable image background, that wouldn't be bad
either....

A couple years ago I was making one with Visual Basic. But since I'm not
in school anymore, I don't have Visual Basic....or any other Windows
Programming Language for that matter. I was considering writing one in C
or C++, but that would only be on a UNIX platform.

I'll keep my eyes open for a Windows compiler. This is something I've
wanted to do for awhile.
