Gokiwa looks at the hand for a moment, then clasps it and shakes. That
fight was the most fun he's had in a decade, even more fun than his fight
with Just A. Cretin. "You to." A small smile slowly finds it's way to
        Gokiwa's face, "Til next time."

        [snip maneuver]

I read somewhere that Rolento uses flash grenades in the ring instead of
normal frags. These gernades do cause some burns and do have a small
amount of impact IRL. Of course, the screen should go completely white
        whenever he uses that maneuver.

Another possibility is that he has his grenades specially made (r even
        makes or modifies his own).

Doh! You're right! That makes a lot more sense than flash grenades like
        I said before.

Of course, I still remember reading flash grenades. Now I have to find it

Since just about everyone else has answered this, I
might as well throw my two-cents in too. I haven't
taken any "official" Martial Arts classes, but a few
friends of mine have taught me a little of what they
know. They each know different styles, so I guess I
can claim knowledge of Jeet Kune Do...kinda. I'm more
geared for the philosophical side of the martial arts.
I know the why more than the how. (That and I
haven't found a style that likes me yet. Everything
        else is true.)

Well, I suppose that the end of the fights did conclude a chapter. So, the
following experience points will be awarded in addition to the one already
        given.
        Automatic: Already given
Acting: 1 point each to Sammi, Sago, Ryuu and Eric. This poit will become
harder to earn in the future, given to only half the players soon, and then
only one or two in the group at a time.
Consistancy: 1 point each. All characters have remained true to thier
        concepts thus far.
Herosim: So far very good! 1 point each
Learning curve: What did the character learn? Has to be something important.
if you can think of something meaningful here, you can get another exp
point. However, this point is hard to earn. "Shark can't be trusted" isn't
gonna do it. It has to be some kind of revelation, pivitol to how the
character sees things in the world. It will rarely be given, but try all you
        like....

Thus, each character receives 4 more experience in addition to the one
already given, and a (rare) possibility for an additional point. Good job
        guys.

Rinaldo did want to get into the game a little earlier, so he also gains one
        point for "showing up".

I'm 18 I started my training at age four. I have taken Muay Thai and
Brazilian j8ui-jitsu at the same time after I recieved my black belt at age15
in shotokan karate. BJJ is actualy a very simple style as is Muay Thai
although both are hard trained and take a lot of phisicle training. I studied
both of those for at the same time for two years and am now teaching western
kick boxing. and am taking those two styles of kung-fu.

Josh, I suggest getting into karate or TKD for the soul purpose that they are
a basic martial art and usualy have something for everyone who is starting
        out.

Well... flash grenades are of two main categories. The first one is an
incredibly bright flash (BRIGHT LIGHT, BRIGHT LIGHT), and the second one
is a flash-bang grenade (bright light AND one hell of a boom). The
flash-bang grenade is the one commonly used (I do believe it is also known
as a concussion grenade), and will incapacitate for at least two or three
seconds. If you've read something about Rainbow Six (Clancy, obviously),
you'll see that they use the flash-bang variety.

So what I'm saying is that you may both be right :) Another interesting
        factoid: There's something called a 'thunderstrip'. Essentially, it's a
very slim flash-bang grenade, made for pushing under doors, to flash-bang
the people on the other side, presumably before you rip open the door to
kick some bad guy butt :)

Well, personally I've always felt that Aikido offered a fair amount of
philosophy, as well as starting to get in shape through training martial
arts. Obviously, since I've only trained TKD myself, I'd say that it is a
markedly external style, and you're likely to walk home with a couple of
bruises a couple of times, not to mention the sprains and pulls you're
_assured_ of getting :) Been there, done that, once fell on my butt while
        executing an axe kick :)

LARP = Live Action Role-Playing. You can walk around, dress up like your
character, and generally do the things your character would do. Much easier
than describing what you're doing in tabletop. Instead of saying "My
character's going to talk to (whoever)" you actually do it. Within certain
        rules, of course.
