Subject: "Call of the Wild" Update
Alright...I'm going to add "Deer" to the animal list, and have Moose as a
related animal, which basically means that they will use the same rules as
Deer hybrids. It will make more sense when you see the entire article. That
was added so the Chris Hoffmann won't have to wait for WP #4.

Next, I'm going to remove the "Roleplaying the Hybrid" section of each
animal's description. It seemed very redundant as I've progressed.

Hey everyone. Sorry Ive been gone for so long but I had a long two weeks and
wasnt able to resond.

Anyways a good friend of mine came down over the time and the subject of
blind fighting came up. I know we drilled this one into the ground
and I dont think this was mentioned, bu heres a go at working the blind
fighting. When my friend mentioned it It was so simple
I was shocked.

The story teller assigns the difficulty to the player for his hitting
success. the player than makes a roll of perception + blindfighting
Or wits + blindfighting
and reduces the difficulty by the number of success he received.
minimum difficulty of 6.
Tada.
So a person with more dots in blindfighting than 5 simply has better odds.

I'm sure everyone's just lurking (I've seen a little traffic, not much
though). The page is a bit more troubling: from what I can see everything in
the link section that has the vault is dead. I'd like to know what's going
on.

This is a good system for the role-playing aspect of any Storyteller system,
but for a Storyteller to have to set a difficulty for the action in a
tournament combat could be unfair unless the number is always consistent. I
think Rinaldo, Diemert and myself came up with a better system. It's on Dogs
of War.

J. Scott Pittman

P.S. - I had not realised it had been so long since I started moving! Whew!
The holidays combined in there also, and like a month has gone by since i
updated Dogs of ar or even provided one turn of Dark Streets. Promise to get
back on tack soon - what can I say, the beginning of the year did us all in
for a bit I think, even Rinaldo, who has to be the typingist person on this
mailing list!

Rinaldo.
I give you extedned kudos for orginizing and running an online tournament of
this purportions and keeping eveythingn pretty sane. You done a good job.
And I think for the most part everyone will enjoy the friendly competition.

There are three small quallms that i encountered while reading the fights.
It may very well be that I have just miss interpreted what you intedned to
say. Keep in mind, these are trivial things to worry about.
I'll let everone figure it out.

#1. Official Matches A group: The Cleaner Vs Chief Grass Walker.
"....... Move 2- Chief Grass Walker move 3 hexes and try to make a
Thunderstrike for his combo but The Cleaner Rekka ken flaming strong is
more faster and Chief Grass Walker receives: 2 points of damage and
Chief Grass Walker make his Thunderstrike for combo and The Cleaner
receives: 4 points of damage and stun!!!..........."

Under the rules for thunderstrike it states that the manevuer may only be
used when the players are in adjacent hexes. This being the case, Chief GW
should not have been able to hit The Cleaner after 3 hexes, at the end of
his movement.

#2. Official Matches B group:Genryu-Kai Vs JenniferO´Shea
This one isn't an error. I am just curious which move is reffered to as
"capoeira dance" is this her taunt?

#3.Official Matches C group:Van Gallen Vs Danniele Garcia.
"...... Move 2- Danielle Garcia don´t move and try to make a Slide kick
but
Van Gallen Flying knee thrust is more faster and Danielle Garcia
receives: 3 points of damage and Danielle Garcia hit her Slide kick
and........"
If one of them is performing a crounching manuever and the other is doing an
aerial maneuver then they should have zero effect on one another as are my
understanding of the rules. Comments?

#4. Official Matches F group:Whisper Vs Ivan Guentchev.
".....Move 4- Whisper block for combo and Ivan Guentchev make a block for
combo.
Move 5- Ivan Guentchev try to make a Flying knee thrust for combo
but Whisper is more faster move 1 hex and make a Dragon punch and Ivan
Guentchev receives: 3 points of damage and going back 1 hex and make a
Flash kick but miss target.
Move 6- Whisper block for combo and Ivan Guentchev block for
combo......"

Move 5, seems a little confusing to me.. was Ivan doing a Flying Knee or a
flash kick?

That's all. I'm not trying to knock on you at all Rinaldo, I think you've
done a great job. All I want is to make sure that we avoid future
complications in fights.
PEACE!
Andy.

Subject: Re: Tables.
This is not a direct elimination tourni. There appear to be loser bracets.
However, there are going to be intra group fights, before Inter-group
fights. So a player can lose his first fight, Win his next three fights, and
still proceed in the event.

As far as there being more people, I have to agree. Rinaldo...did you forget
some ppl?

First at all my mainbook is translated, and webpages give me some
description of manuvers and remember again english isn´t my native
tongue, because that it´s normal I commit some mistakes. And I say to
everyone I use first Arkon manuver compendium and after I use too J.Scot
Pittman manuver compendium, and I don´t have acess to sourcebooks and I
don´t know what books are official and what books are netbooks, at this
moment I acept manuvers from Arkon compendium and J.Scot Pittman manuver
compendium.

Like Jack the Ripper says: "Let´s go for parts"

1) He have only move three hexes and hit opponent with Thunderstrike,
this say I can move
and hit and if have more move I must continue moving in straight line.
2) Is a manuver called also battle ginga and it´s like musical
acompaniment and give +1 speed, damage or move it´s same way of musical
acompaniment.
3) The bad luck of russian his combo Flying knee thrust for Flash Kick,
all times he want hit this manuvers he suffer Dragon punch efect and
going back 1 hex and when he make Flash kick at move 0 he don´t hit.
4) About Slide kick of Danielle Garcia, Van Gallen move near enough at
0 hexes and hit Flying Knee thrust but he don´t freeze in air he will
fall at ground and like Danielle is more slower she make slide kick
after Van Gallen Flying Knee Thrust, normal for me.

Thats right, you have fighter and make 3 fights and the first and second place go on, but I realy think I pick up the third place fighters and make a group with them and the best of this go on too, but I need study this with attention.

Andy wrote:

This is not a direct elimination tourni. There appear to be loser bracets.
However, there are going to be intra group fights, before Inter-group
fights. So a player can lose his first fight, Win his next three fights, and
still proceed in the event.

As far as there being more people, I have to agree. Rinaldo...did you forget
some ppl?

questions...

First- Is this a single elim tourney? If so why are some of the losers
still in?

Second- If not, then were there not more people in this tourney. If I
remember right we had enough to fill down to group H.

I am a little confused. Whats goin on?

BTW, I dig this tournament a lot.

Is no problem in take netbook manuvers but If don´t mind in send it is good to me, I like some manuvers from netbooks but someones are too hight and remove some balance of game, I acept some of net manuvers just send me stats and of course must be from style or could be bought by "any" price. One or another of my fighters have some netbooks manuvers they came from New Legends netbook.

I just throw dices and see efects and make tactics without looking or better say I ask for other friends and players (who not playing in tournament to make npc´s and make their tactics- Like the roman words: "I wash my hands", but let see the thing for another way we have the same number of npc´s and pc´s I realy make my self only four of them and only 1of them win, the fault is from my friends and no I don´t any of them see any of people of list characters the difference is major part of my friends and makers of npc like to put high atributes spend freebies in there and in techniques and result is fast figthers with some damage, next tournament I have planning it for a long time, I only put persons of list or better I ask for the people of list make the npc´s and I don´t have more problems, but for now I must finish this tournament for later I think in another one. I don´t stay angry but what I can do, is only a game. "Long live and prosper" - Spock last words in Startrek II.

*RP*

Johnny Invinsible sat back looking at the empty ring and the empty
stands only a couple days before his next fight. "Its hard being me" he
said casually in the same egocentric way that he took everything in
life.

However, he wished he felt nearly as confident. He saw some of the
competition he would later be up against. For example, the clear victory
Chief Grasswalker was able to gain over the Cleaner- another very
compitent fighter.

He wasn't starring in the movies this time. Thus, victory was not
garaunteed. Nor would it be easy. Johnny took careful attention to this
fact. He could not let himself get too cocky.

Johnny got up and walked down to the far end of the ring, and headed
to the roster. His next fight was up against Jennifer O'Shea. He
remembered her last fight, as he was careful to remember all of the
fighters in the tournament.

Well he didn't like the idea of hitting women. But he liked the idea
of winning more. "Oh well...", he thought as he began to walk from the
arena and to his executive suite. "She was a good looking woman. Perhaps
it would make her feel better if I took her to dinner afterwards..."
