Hello, I´m fell much better now I know you don´t furious I think
that because the lots of emails I receive about the errors, but I
doesn´t matter peace backs again.
Chris Hoffmann ask to me to talk to you about a revenge for Gokiwa
against Mr.Military and that time I use 20 rounds because that I need
more tatics the rest of moves this guy, you he remember me the cancer
guy of X-Files because every fight and this when he appears in the
"screen", he always smoking, maybe he wants the control of the world.
I´m talking with Chris about my problem I don´t have the sourcebooks and
I don´t acess to them, because that all manuvers and styles from the
other books except the mainbook are from pages of web, and this maybe
cause errors, You know how many Carthwell Kick versions I´ve found in
the web?
Now I pick the Arkon manuver compendium and A manuver book from your
page, maybe now I take all manuvers right. Thank you. [

Subject: Re: Spinning Glitch Driver
Yeah, but he did a Sibearian Bear Crusher, not a SPD. & it was in
Super Street Fighter 2. I'm pretty sure that was the game that the
Siberian Bear Crusher was introduced, because for the longest time I
didn't know it was a bug. BTW, it's not nearly as powerful as his
description makes it sound, in order for the move to work, Zangief has
to be being hit, & then he magically grabs his opponent... Sorta like a
block to S. Bear Crusher combo, but instead of blocking, he has to
actually get hit. Makes it great for punishing people who like to
fireball you from across the screen, plus it was really hard to do... I
saw many Zangief players end up killing themselves trying to get that
move to work... Still I thought it was pretty cool... Actually, it
seemed like something he really needed, given how much he seemed to
suck until that power was discovered...

BTW, what made you remember this? That games' gotta be 6 years old...

-Chris!

PS, anyone here good w/ Zangief & have the PSX version of Super SF?
I'd be curious to see if it was still in there or not...

Well the simplest way is to simply say that the Psycho Drive (henceforth
referred to as Drive or the Drive) leaches chi (maybe willpower, perhaps
even health) and gives it to you, our dark lord. Since, with all do
respect, you have Zero Honor, this is the only way for you to recover from
your psycho crusher (except for that meteorite, and I agree that was a
lame plot device).

Somethings to consider, sire:

Are the victims of the Drive able to regenerate Chi, or are they
permanently drained?

Is it a one for one conversion?

How much chi does Joe average off the street have (street fighters can't
be the easiest psychic food to get)?

How many strength successes would it take to break free? At what
difficulty? Would Grapeling Defense help?

Can the Psycho Drive be resisted by, oh say Dhalsim or Rose (focus) or
maybe Guile (willpower)?

Can even your magnificent being contain more than 10 chi or willpower?

What would happen to someone who did not posess your own Iron will who
tried to use the Drive?

I do not know the answers to these questions sire, but I eagerly await any
illumination on these matters you choose to acnoledge.

Actually, it's not about revenge (something that's a bit beyond him, him
and Data would get along fine). Someone beat him, so he has to keep
refining his tactics, somethimes over and over again, until he can win.
This is known as 'Top Gun Syndrome'.

Well, no... There are some puns even I won't point out.

> BTW, what made you remember this? That games' gotta be 6 years old...

I was digging through my old EGMs (Electronic Gaming Monthly) and it was
mentioned in one of 'em. I never actually saw it, or pulled it off (to
this day, I still can't do a 360), but I doubt it's in the PSX version.
From what I understand, that glitch was only in the fist version of Super,
and all the otherone released after it didn't have it.

Well that ought to teach me about making stats for a maneuver I've never
actually seen, maybe I should have saved that move for April 1. Of
course, with the additional material you provided, I might make a debuged
version for the most sacred of holidays.

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society...

Placing a fighter in the Psycho Drive will drain the fighter's
(disposable) Chi at a rate of one per round (five/ten seconds or so).
This stored Chi can then be used to either heal Bison or regenerate his
own Chi at a cost of one stored Chi per health/Chi point. Fighters may
resist the Drive's draining influences by rolling Stamina + Focus,
Difficulty 8. Three successes are required to prevent the Chi loss for
that round. Fighters whose Chi dips below 5 are required to roll
Willpower every round to stay conscious; three successes will be needed
here, as well. Breaking free of the Drive requires a Strength + Focus
roll, Difficulty 9. Again, three successes will be required.

What do you think, Sirs?

I'd like to know how I can introduce the "Psycho Drive" in the RPG game
of Street Fighter? The Psycho Drive is a type of machine that increases
Bison's Psycho Power. Bison puts a fighter there and drain all his/her
Chi, then he converts it to Psycho Power/Ler Drit, so he enters in the
Psycho Drive and recharges himself. How can I do this?????

...welcome to the world of Animal Hybrids.

As published, Animal Hybrid is a background and it is quite possible to
start with a very powerful character. Hybrids' fighting prowess is
*usually* offset by their social disadvantages if the GM plays it right,
*but* in a fight such as this, with no penalties, the hybrid *will* have
a very distinct advantage.

I'd recommend banning them. Elementals are not that bad, and Cyborgs to
a lesser extent aren't either.

I believe it, the Player's guide let's you make some _SICK_ characters
(like my character's one hit knockout dragon punch wasn't bad enough).

and any fighter who fight with him is going to
ground,
> no way to win.

Really? I challenge him.

Chris Hoffmann vs. Andy's Brother Tom's Character

Round one: Chris picks up the sheet of paper and tears it into confetti.

AND THE WINNER BY TOTAL DIMEMBERMENT IN AN INCREDIBLE MISMATCH _CHRIS
HOFFMANN_!!

When you get him taped back up, Gokiwa challenges him to. Ten or twenty
rounds?

Interesting point. Rinaldo's already said he doesn't have all the books
and he's the only one in position to check. Still, I'm willing to take it
on faith that it's legit.

If someone will send me a complete list of all the fighters in the "friendly
fights" I will attempt to make sketches of those characters... I would also
like to see a web-page devoted to the fights... if someone has kept the

This is what i figured might have happend.
I'll talk it over with tom, but i think he power-games professinaly or
sumthin.
He liked the character, but he will get over it.
As to why I didn't send I fighter, I'm currently a Gm (Have been for 3-4
years now) and I don't really have many fighters....
However I may decide to enter somebody later.
IN the mean time Rilando, even though this fighter might not be offical, and
on the tournament, coudl you hang on to him?

Chris Hoffman want's to fight, and if he know the risk involved, i think we
can let Justin have at LEAST this one fight.

THanx.

I promise you he is LEGAL....but just barely. True power gamers (and future
lawyers) know how to get everything they've got coming to them.....by
brother is no exception. THIS is the type of garbage Street FIghters I have
to put up with as a GM!!!!
Is it any wonder they have me plead for mercy.
Normally I can just not allow the chracters because it's too hard to explain
how he has a cybrog leg, and is half rino. However Tom has a special knack
for being able to justify things, and his preludes always make me laugh.
He normally wins.
Doh.

Whatever YOu like Chris...
The fight would not last 10 rounds....NEVER 20. Either way, wheter he or you
win.
One shotokan for another ehh?
When he wakes up He'll probably want to saysomething before the fight.
As for right now: "The fighter Accepts your challenge! Rinaldo Take note!"

Subject: Re: Psycho Drive
I will answer these line-by-line.

In a message dated 11/18/1999 7:23:44 AM, staredown@... writes:

<<Well the simplest way is to simply say that the Psycho Drive (henceforth
referred to as Drive or the Drive) leaches chi (maybe willpower, perhaps
even health) and gives it to you, our dark lord. Since, with all do
respect, you have Zero Honor, this is the only way for you to recover from
your psycho crusher (except for that meteorite, and I agree that was a
lame plot device).>>

Lame is the wrong word to use, its like saying "the Death Star had a gun".

Actually Honor is only used to regain Willpower/Chi within a story. Between
stories Characters regain ALL Willpower/Chi (Main Rulebook page 64).

If you want another way for the Big Four to recover would be to give them
different renown (Like Infamy insead of Glory, or Dedication intead of
Honor... I'll work up a more specific system later.)

<<Somethings to consider, sire:

Are the victims of the Drive able to regenerate Chi, or are they
permanently drained?>>

That depends on how nasty you want it to be. It could even be done as
temporary loss, but harder to recover than other losses (like Agg. Damage).
Question: what happens if PERMENENT CHI hits 0?

<<Is it a one for one conversion?>>

NO. At best it should be 2 for 1, at best.

<<How much chi does Joe average off the street have (street fighters can't
be the easiest psychic food to get)?>>

Joe average would have 1 Chi, some spiritual Non-Street Fighters might have a
little more.

<<How many strength successes would it take to break free? At what
difficulty? Would Grapeling Defense help?>>

It would depend on the restraints. If I were Bison I'd keep my snacks
sedated (unless it interferes with the process).

<<Can the Psycho Drive be resisted by, oh say Dhalsim or Rose (focus) or
maybe Guile (willpower)?

Can even your magnificent being contain more than 10 chi or willpower?>>

I'd say yes (how else could Bison PK every single attack), but it "bleeds"
away at half the speed it gets pumped in.

<<What would happen to someone who did not posess your own Iron will who
tried to use the Drive?>>

At best I'd say a derangement. At worst I'd say that they become addicted to
the drive, after prolonged use they would become dependant (unable to recover
Chi without it).

<<I do not know the answers to these questions sire, but I eagerly await any
illumination on these matters you choose to acnoledge.

Chris Hoffmann

Who is not really a fawning minion of Vega, but plays one in E-mail.>>

Arkon, Dark Lord of Chaos

Does it really matter? I've seen what a number crunched newbie can do to
someone who only uses the main rules.

But, like the Psycho Drive, it could be Vega/Bison's source of energy

Well, it will depends of the quantity of CHI that was drained. If
Permenent Chi hits 0? I think that the fighter die.

Yes. It's one for one conversion. But I don't know how much chi it can
hold.

Not sedated, but unconcious, after being defeated by Vega/Bison.

It depends of the fighter, but teorically, no! And what is PK energy?

Hmmm... It do not seems that Vega/Bison is dependant of the Psycho
Drive, but a type of "tool" that he uses to be immortal and invincible
(In the SFA3 storyline). After the prolonged use, the body of the
fighter (in case Vega/Bison) could "explode" with such CHI.
And the Psycho Drive can only be used with Vega/Bison's DNA (Juni, Juli
and Cammy can use it too), different DNA could make a error in the main
computer, so the user that isn't Vega/Bison could have his life source
drained completely (Or until he dies)

Subject: Blaise...
"Hmm...?"
'Incredible', Blaise thought, 'a newcomer's coming into this thing and
challenging everyone within a five mile radius. I wonder exactly how long
it's going to take for him to get his ass whupped.' Sensing the curiosity
and tension rising in the air, Blaise sauntered over to edge of the ring,
curious himself to see what would happen.
"Who the hell is this guy?" he asked the big man next to him.
"Who knows? Some guy comes in here, starts throwing his weight around,
and decides that the rest of the fighters here aren't worth their salt. Me,
I wanna see what happens. Besides, he's nothing compared to the Yakuza."
answered Howard Ng, oblivious to the strange glance Blaise was giving him.
Howard was still a little sore after his last match, eagerly anticipating a
rematch someday with Ty Hong, the Thai Kickboxer who soundly bested him.
'Vindictive, aren't we?' thought Blaise sardonically as he watched Howard
glare at Mr. Hong, 'If looks could kill...'
Looking around at the crowd gather, smelling the adrenalin and
perspiration in the air, Blaise noticed a distinctive smell over the others.
A very smelly cigar.
Upon further investigation, Blaise noticed a rising wisp of smoke over
the heads of the crowd. It was Mr. Military, the Army veteran that Blaise
had faced earlier. Mr. Military was watching what was about to happen with
keen interest.
'Probably waiting for his next match. Either way, I forgot to thank him
for the last fight.'
Pushing his way past the other people in the arena, Blaise walked over to
Mr. Military, hand extended.
"I'd like to say thanks for the last fight..."

Subject: Re: Important I need all rules about animal h ybrid cyborgs and ele
Actually, I've never done it, but it does make a lot of sense. In my game,
if you want to increase these backgrounds, it takes just as long to increase
them as it would a Special Maneuver. Animal Hybrids don't mutate
spontaneously, elementals are not Chi masters that develop their attunement
to their chosen element overnight, and Cyborgs have to basically pay for and
arrange the operation to have all that hardware installed.

Whoa, man, I didn't mean it to be that harsh. Honestly enough, I don't even
know why I started in on the argument in the first place. I will say it's
pretty stupid. If it's any consolation, I'll take a Dragon Punch from you
any day. :)
