Although their abilities are essentially identical, Yun, with the hat, is described as attacking like the fleet wind, while the younger Yang is said to overwhelm the opponent with a tidal wave of attacks -- descriptions somewhat reminiscent of Fei Long of Super SF2X, extremely fast with many moves to make up for an overall lack of power.
