Retsu is the forgotten disciple of Gouken. He trained Ryu and Ken after Gouken's death, but was not as powerful as either of them. In the first Street Fighter tournament he fought Gouken's disciples to test their skills. After they had proved their worthiness, he let them continue on and finish the tournament. Retsu has not been seen since the original tournament. His stage was a Japanese temple.
