With a name like Crusher, he's probably either a boxer, or some kind of
wrestler. Since I can't do the same trick of asking the barkeep (Sago has
barely enough dough left on him to buy an after fight drink), he'll just
go into the backroom, strip off his Justice for All T-shirt, and do a
quick warm-up before the fight.

Now watch. Crusher will turn out to be a 3' 11", 55 lb., twelve year old
girl who studies Kabaddi. Of course, she'll have a strenght of eight.

Before I send my tactics, how many hexes will be between us?

Either. It's too SF-oriented for WoD and requires too many rules
adaptations for SF.

Apparently, this is a pretty rare book since it gets stolen so often. Buy
it and don't tell anybody you have it.

Ok, here's how to unsubscribe yourself from the SF:STG list. It is a long
and complex process, often taking years of dedication to fully master.

1. Take a bowl of sugar and pour it into the gas tank of your local
Anti-RPG moron's car (there's at least one in every town, ninety in mine
actually). Make sure that said moron is waching you do it. Mike will also
be watching (he sees all and knows all) and will start the ball rolling.

2. After paying the fine and/or dealing with the law suit, take a train to
Graceland. Find a statue of Elvis with a bum lying next to it while
wearing a ragged denim trench-coat. Hand the bum two fifty dollar bills
who will give you the code phrase (beer). The bum will in fact be Steve
Skarsten in disguise who will report back to Mike that you have
successfuly completed the second great labor.

3. Find a gang member (preferably a large one with multiple tatoos and/or
body piercings) and engage him in friendly conversation. The gang member
(who will actually be one of a multitude of undercover SF:STG agents
spreading the joys of Street Fighting to the disadvantaged youth) will
gently rap a message in moras code with his fist on your face. Hidden
within that message is your next destination.

4. Fly to the place indicated by the undercover Fighter and look for a
police officer on duty. This will in fact be Pittman. Throw several code
phrases at Pittman (pig, donught, smack, etc.) and he will gladly give you
a lift to your next destination.

5. At the Police Department, you will be escorted to a cell while Pittman
reports on your success in getting this far in the trials. To keep you
entertained, a large gentleman with several pounds of metal implanted
directly into his skin will keep you company. This gentleman will in fact
be Chris Hoffmann (aka Staredown, me, myself, and I). Unfortunately, this
will be interupting my usual routine of eating, sleeping, and spamming the
list with my silly stuff, so I wll be a bit surelyer than usual. Sliping
me
a couple of hundreds will greatly improve my disposition and incidently,
increase your chances of being unsubscribed.

6. After leaving your quarters via an unconventional use of sope, metal
and leather, head for Old Mexico. At the border you will be met by Remo,
cleverly disguised as a border guard (yep, we've got the entire planet
wired). He will accompany you to his employer Balrog's (or Vega's,
depending on who you ask) estate. There you will be wined and dined as a
rest from your harrowing journey. Relax. Recover. The final, and hardest
task is yet to come.

7. Fly to Tokyo Japan (every otaku's dream) and visit the tokyo tower.
Steve Wieck, yes the creator himself, will be looking down from the top of
the tower at you through a high-powered sniper scope. Go to the base of
the tower and eat octopus sushi while singing 'Kanawa Hurricane' with your
mouth full. Steve will drop a 10 pound sandbag on your head, that is the
final signal that your request to be unsubscribed has been recieved and
you will be unsubscribed as soon as Steve relays the message to Mike.

Or you could simply send a message to
streetfighter-unsubscribe@..., but if you're a real roleplayer,
you'll choose the seven step procedure.

For those of you who are also on the Thrash list, yes this is almost
identical to the procedure I sent out there recently. What can I say?
It's monday and I'm feeling particularly lazy.

Gotcha.

1) Block
2) Lightning Leg (combo)
3) Double-Hit Kick (I'm trying quantity over quality)
4) Short
5) Forward
6) Roundhouse

Repeat ad nausium.

If
The Crusher is dizzy: Do Signature Move (Jump in the air and kicks four
times before landing)
The Crusher is knocked down: Jumping Roundhouse
The Crusher tries a powerful Grab: Abort To Block (just kidding) Abort
to Jump
The Crusher tries a projectile (yeah right): Abort to Jump
Sago is out of range for his maneuver by more than one hex: Jumping
Roundhouse
there is more than X hexes between me and Crusher:
5: Move forward 3 hexes
8: Move forward 5 hexes
Sago is out of willpower and his tactics say lightning leg: Jumping Roundhouse

Sammi looked around the dive Mr. Shark brought her
to... a dingy place that stank of stale beer and cigar
smoke. Nervously, she rubbed her left wrist, then
sighed and adjusted her vest as she headed over to the
bar.
"What can I get youse, doll-face?" the balding
bartender asked, cleaning a beer mug with his stained
apron.
Sammi fought the urge to grab him by the front of
his bowling shirt and slam his face into the bar, and
replied, "Coke, please."
"Sure t'ing." The bartender reached into a small
fridge under the bar and handed her a . "Anything
else?"
"Yeah," she replied, sliding a $20 across the bar.
"What do you know about a Kung Fu fighter named
'Snake'?"
-------
Turn 4:

Josh Diemert (Sammi)
(No roll needed to bribe bartender)
The bartender took the twenty quickly from anyone's vision, as quick and
agile as any stage magican. He had done so before, Sammi thought.
"This Snake guy, he's tough, alright, uses that Bruce Lee stuff, Kung Fu and
all that. But I'll warn ya, cause yer cute and I don't wanna see you get
hurt. The first thing he's gonna do is get close, and then go into a
crouching block, to gain speed for his special Snake Punch, which is really
nasty. Most people don't make it long after that." With that the bartender's
attention was drawn elsewhere.
player:Choose what you will do: You can make changes to your strategy based
on this information or use the one already sent.
Sammi watched as Snake finished his warm-up exercises. He was tall, skinny,
but every muscle in his body looked lke it was made of iron. Sammi supposed
her strength was close to his own.
Slowly, she came out of the crowd and onto the dock. The "referee" was
there already, an overweight man in a red sweater and scarf. He bellowed out
loudly.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I wish you were here! But since it's just you
sloppy, dirty guys and gals I'll talk to you instead!" With this, the crowd
laughed loudly. "Here tonight, we have the first match of the evening.
Sammi, the beautiful fighter, as you've seen her on TV! What a treat! She's
decided to join the ring, since none of the ladies she fights can stand up
against her." That was true, Sammi thought.
"Her opponent will be Snake! You know him and love em! He's just a
beginner, but he has three wins and no losses! Two by knockout! This guy is
bad!"
Sammi raised an eyebrow. Three for three. She looked back at Shark, but
didn't see him. Where was he?
Then she saw him, over and across the dock, talking to Sanke. At first it
didn't register, then Sammi realised that she had been brought here to fight
and lose. Shark was leading her, setting her up for a fall. He really didn't
think Sammi stood a chance. But she knew what Snake would do first. So she
took her fighting stance, shuffling her feet, getting "into the groove".
Snake started for her. The fight was on.
Turn 1) Block
Sammi knew that Snake would block, although he was rushing her. Sure enough,
the tall lean man stopped and crouched down in a defensive posture. Up
close, she could see he had dark features, and blue eyes. His outfit was a
red jacket and blue jeans with tears. Geez, Sammi thought almost
unconciously, this guy never left the eighties.
Turn 2) Thigh Press [speed 2 (4), damage 10, move One]
Sammi knew her Thigh press was slow, but with her speed...
No good. She caught a "snake punch" in the chest, aimed for her heart.
[Sammi takes 4 points of Health, but no other effect]
The pain was horrible. The attack was meant to stun her she thought, but
Sanke had underestimated her stamina. Heh. Now it was time to play, she
thought. She fell back, as if to fall down, stunned. Snake approached, just
as Sammi knew he would.
Catching herself with her hands, she kicked upward with her lower body,
catching Snake by the head, between her thighs. There might have been time
for Sanke to make a cheap joke, if he wasn't to busy wondering why he was
suddenly being flipped. His head came to the ground, crashing into the
wooden planks of the Dock.
[Snake takes 5 damage and is stunned]
Turn 3) Move (Full Retreat)
Sammi caught her breath, letting Snake stand back up. [gaining +1 temporary
honor and glory for doing so]
Turn 4) Block
Sammi Blocked, and so did Snake. Both were a little more cautious now.
"You're going to look alot less pretty without those teeth, sister." Snarled
Snake. Although he was angry, something told Sammi he was just talking, that
he didn't really want to seriously injure her, just win. Mabye.
Turn 5) Strong Punch [Speed 3(5), Damage 7, Move:2]
This time the Sanke Punch wasn't as fast, as Sammi rocked a strong punch
right into Snakes lower jaw.
[Sammi gets 2 successes]
Snake stood for a moment, looking out into the air. This time, he must have
realised, he was out, that this "weak" fighter turned out to be something
more. He fell hard onto the dead lumber benath him, beaten. Sammi was
suprised that the guy couldn't take more punishment than that.
"Yes!" cried Sammi, as she leaped into the air, and came down on both
knees, arms straight up in a victory pose.
The crowd cheered momentarily, and then things became quiet quickly as the
next match began, against somebody called Slayder and Bobby the Brick.
Sammi did not see Shark around, ut she might find him if she looked about.
Or she could wait here and atch the new matches.
Player: What will Sammi do?

Group: streetfighter Message: 4625 From: J. Scott Pittman Date: 12/13/1999
Subject: Dark Streets, Turn 4 (Sago)
Sago watched as the fights continued. Bobby the Brick won his match against
someone called Slayder, who didn't fare so well. Bobby the brick had thrown
him over the dock in about 4 seconds.
The first fighters were good too, Snake or something like that fought Sammi
Walinski, "as seen on TV", although he never remembered seeing her on TV.
She was a good fighter though, real good. Made mincemeat out of Snake,
almost like she knew what he was going to do before he did it.
Suddenly it was his match. Sago jogged into the ring, stretching his neck
and bouncing around to exercise his legs, warming them up. Then he saw
Crusher.
Crusher was a very large african-american. Very large. The guy was a
truck. He moved slow, however, and that was good. What wasn't good was the
fact that he was nearly twice Sago's size and wearing what was obviously
padded gloves ("padded" meaning they had little metal bars in them, and
affected punches the same as brass knuckles).
But this was freestyle fighting, and anything went. The old saying was
true in the ring - either take the heat or get out. Sago decided to take the
heat.
Turn 1: Block
Sago blocked, and it was a good thing, too. The Crusher laid a fist the size
of Sago's head down hard. Sago was ready for it, as he had decided to take a
defensive posture first. Had he reacted to the punch, he probably would have
had his head knocked clean off his body.
[Sago blocks, and receives one point of damage from a strong punch]
Turn 2: Lightning Leg (+4 to speed due to block and combo bonuses)
Sago leaped foward, calling upon his willpower to strike repeatedly with his
leg. Each hit that struck was hard enough to knock most men down, but this
crusher guy just moved a little bit. Sago was suprised.
[Sago attacks three times. The first attak scores 2 points of damage, the
second also score 2 points of damage, and the third scores 1 point of
damage. ]
the guy wasn't down, hard to beleive. ot even stunned, but close. he was
obviously tougher than most men Sago had ever come into contact with. The
Crusher threw another punch, hitting Sago hard, real hard. He saw floating
circles all around him, and he buckled for a moment under the pain.
[Crusher scores 4 damage with a Fierce Punch, stunning Sago]
Turn 3:
The Crusher wound up and fired a fist straight into Sago again. His rib cage
moved, he could feel it. His breath was knocked back out of him, and then
anger filled Sago with the pain, allowing him to stand up again.
[Crusher hits Sago with another Fierce Punch for 2 points of damage]
Turn 4:
Sago felt the blood dripping from his mouth. He had to try to get back into
his combo, and quick. He blocked. The Crusher came in, punching, but Sago
was able to ward him off.
Turn 5: Sago blzed out again, his leg moving slightly slower due ti his
pain, but it was enough to strike Crusher once in the head. His hands came
up to cover his face, and Sago took the opportunity to place a shot into his
stomach. Again, Crusher's hands went to his stomah, and one last well-placed
kick to the face was all that was needed.
Crusher fell to the ground, and the crowd stopped.
[ago places three kicks, for 3, 2, and 1 damage]
A roar of cheers waved over Sago, and he lept up, kicking repeatedly into
the air. He smiled and shook hands with people he didn't even know. There
were lots of people saying "way to go" and "gret job".
Sago looked about, and noticed Sammi just ahead. He could say hi to her
and congradulate the other fighter... she was looking about, as if looking
for someone.
Does Sago have something else in mind besides meeting Sammi, or will he
approach her?

Ryuunosuke Vreshii was amazed at the fights that took place here on the dock
some nights. He had figured out that they took place once a month, on the
first friday of that month. He made sure to be at all of them. He had picked
up a few tricks watching and practicing, and loking at Jiu Jitsu magazines.
He wished that he could join a real dojo, but being a young kid on the
streets, that was close to impossible.
This time he had gotten a little too close to the ring. "Hey it's that cat
boy", one of the men said. "Get out of here, kid."
Ryuunosuke moved back a little. He thought about leaving, but he
desperately wanted to get a closer look at these fighters. Especialy that
one called Sammi, she was so pretty!
Not that he was. "Ru", as his friends called him, was not entirely human.
He didn't know what he was, but he had changed a few years ago when that
whole thing had taken place, when...
Ru looked behind him as he bumped into someone. It was a man dressed in a
tie and suit. he had seen this man before, the one who called himself
"Shark". Shark smiled at Ru with a mouth full of white, perfect teeth, much
like his namesake. "Get him", he said.

scarce). I'll probably have to settle for Alpha 3.

Looking briefly at Sago, Sammi took his hand and shook
it. "In a minute. Have you seen...?" She finally
spotted Shark off to one side, and headed over to him.
"There he is. Hey, Shark! I've got a bone to
pick...with...you?" She slowed down when she saw him
towering over a young kid, dressed in tattered
clothes. The kid looked harmless enough, but when
Shark said 'Get him.', Sammi knew something was up.
"What's going on here?"

all you have to do is compare speeds in this case. If I choose to wait

I don´t realize fight this week because I have to study for my test of
Univercity but I read tactics from some fighters and see cases of wait
blocking and when opponent is in range interrupt him with some manuver
but if other figther wait too, wait people don´t think that possibility
and I start being desesperate when I have to write 20 round of Fighter A
block and Figther B block, some people put in his tactic about willpower
manuver if is not range don´t waste willpower but don´t put what do in
this case I can be a manager but not a Fortune Teller I can´t see what
the manager of this fighter think.

Hey J.Scot Pittman is a shame you stop the pc´s drawings but by the way
your on-line campaign appears very good I can´t wait to see what is
    going on in next turn.
I will make the randon selection in weekend for that reason is your last

    Subject: Trivia
I was discussing Street Fighter with my fiance last night. We got to
talking about various Chinese characters as represented in video games,
primarily Tekken 3, which I've become re-obsessed with as of late. This may
be old news to everyone else, but it came as quite a shock to me; Xiaoyu is
the character's first name, *NOT* Ling! Ling is actually a "fairly common"
Chinese family name, according to my significant other, and I'd had the
whole thing backwards. The game itself is undecided on how to refer to the
kid, as her name shows up as Xiaoyu in the character select, but the
announcer's voice calls her Ling Xiaoyu. I should've known that in keeping
consistent with all other fighters having their first name under their
profile that she would do likewise... but anyway, what a goof.

    An amusing anecdote;

Later in the conversation (centered primarily around Chinese names, which is
how the above discussion got started) we were talking about what our kids
would be like. Typical stuff for an engaged couple, right? Well, we were
theorizing about what our kids would look like. I was (and am) quite
adamant that if we have a daughter, she's going to be gorgeous. Since I
think female Chinese names are lovely, I remarked: "If we have a daughter, I
want her to have a Chinese name." My SO, naturally, said: "Of course!".
Not five seconds later, she amends, "We're NOT going to call her Chun Li."

Wonder where she got *that* idea. :p

Ah yes. A common occidental mistake. In classic asian naming convention,
the family name is before the given name. For example, if ryu had a last
name, let's use tanaka for our example, he's be called tanaka ryu.
Sounds like a scholl of karate. So... chun li's name should have been
listed Li Chun. Actually, she should have 3 characters to her name, so it
should be Li Chun<another character>. Li is actually a fairly common
    chinese family name also.

Boy... I really do have a lot of useless information in my head... :)

I *know* that. Only problem is, unless it's a name I know already, I won't
know whether it's "properly" reversed or not. My point was, the *game*
flip-flops the ways it refers to her (menu lists first-name-last, announcer
says last-name-first). So, in an attempt to reverse the name so I could
refer to her properly, I got it backwards anyway. Damned if ya do...

However, Chun Li is a "legitimate" name. I asked Hui (my fiance) about this
one. Her opinion was that it was in the "right" order, although it "should"
have a third character (name) as you indicated. Also interesting to note is
that the name is considered a "lower-class" name, usually found among
    peasants.

In addition, a friend of mine who works for an investment firm randomly
plugged a few of the more well-known SF names into his company's database.
Among the more interesting finds? About fifty Chun Li's, two right here in
my home state of NJ, one only about a half-hour's drive away. The most
interesting, however, was a Ken Masters living in Seattle. Coincidence?
    hmmm...

Hey I'm workin on it (drawings), but I'm swamped over here! First of all,
those campaign turns take a little while (whew). Second, my latest drawings
were for my own players, and also I've made a logo for Warrior's Pride, hope
you guys like it (I think it will be in the next issue?).

By the way, I know my page hasn't been updated in awhile, but it will be
reving up again soon. I am in the process of moving. However, I did add
Blind Fighting rules today as an "offical" part of my page, and I will try
to update the page at least once per week. There has been work done to the
page here and there, but mostly it was to correct typos and such, so it
wasn't all that noticeable of work. I still plan to add my own artwork to
the page, too. The Dogs of War is my pet project, so there's lots more to
    come, just be patient!

Hmmmm... I am not so sure. I may, of course, be wrong, but I believe her

Hmmmmm, is Sagat in the right order? =) >>

Just to add a bit more useless trivia, I believe Sagat actually translates
from Thai as "protect", which, given Thai naming conventions, is probably a
nickname. From what I have read, the Thai usually have three names: a given
name, a family name, and a nick name. The nick name is usually used like we
here in America use a first name, the given name is used like we would use a
last name, i.e. if I was Thai I would be called Mr. James even on formal
occasions and the family name is usually used for official documents and the
    like.

Which is probably more than you wanted to know
