In all actuality the Ha(wave)Do(motion/way)Ken(Punch/Strike) is a
derivetive of the soul in the center most part of the body, or the Hara
located one inch below the navel. This is also the center of balance
for all people. The Hara is most associated with water, but in the
case of poor Ryu " What kind of fireball am I hurling?" the Hado
Esentially translates out to sheer force eminating through the hands
from the Hara, which manifest as a burst of "blue flame" in Ryu's case
so... Fire ball is not an elemental maneuver unless your personal PC
chooses to have their balls to be firey. Esentially the fire
elementalist has as a mandate a Fire(real fire)ball, but everyone else
can choose to have whatever they want, which will look however they
want, as long as it looks cool.

Thats it

Chris Hoffman (Sago):
"I really need in this fight." Sago was trying to be open and nice about
this. He hoped the guy would just give him the details.
"What fight?"
Figured. These guys didn't trust new faces. Cops were always looking to bust
up the ring. Sago's first instinct was to get mean, but his interpol
training took over. He wanted to bust up the ring, all right, but not this
way.
Sago smiled. "Common, man, gimme a break! I've traveled a long way to get
into this ring match. Lighten up."
(Manipulation+Streewise roll, 2 successes)
"I got a hoochie back at home, and she ain't gonna like it none if I dont
come home with some green or some bruises for trying." Sago had to surpress
a laugh at himself.
Suddenly the dark, serious man burst into laughter. "All right kid, knock
yourself out! 50 bucks entery fee."
Sago didn't let on how much 50 bucks hurt, as the shady figure pointed
toward the back door with his thumb. "You'll be fighting Sledge. As in
hammer. Good luck."

Player: I will need a 20 round strategy and anything special you will
attempt before the fight.

Josh Diemert (Sammi)

(No roll needed to bribe bartender)
The bartender took the twenty quickly from anyone's vision, as quick and
agile as any stage magican. He had done so before, Sammi thought.
"This Snake guy, he's tough, alright, uses that Bruce Lee stuff, Kung Fu and
all that. But I'll warn ya, cause yer cute and I don't wanna see you get
hurt. The first thing he's gonna do is get close, and then go into a
crouching block, to gain speed for his special Snake Punch, which is really
nasty. Most people don't make it long after that." With that the bartender's
attention was drawn elsewhere.

Sorry, I know this is off topic but the other day I stopped into a book
store while I had a few minutes and noticed World of Darkness Combat, or
something to that effect. I didn't have long, so I just flipped through it
really quickly and it seemed to be pretty similiar to the Street Fighter
rules. Does anyone have this book? If so, are there any major differences?
Thanks.

No because always I ask for change tactics and when I don´t get response I hold
the fight, by the way Genryu-kai and The Cleaner want a double match against
Adam Ramsey and Thomas Watson, you double figth but I don´t known if you acept
or change tactics, by the way you boxing punches.
But I will make the boxers challenge but my boxer have that punches.

Subject: Re: WoD Combat
Not off subject, considering the material...

WOD: Combat is an excellent book, a definite buy for
those looking to work new styles and such into Street
Fighter. Not only does it include several "new"
styles(new only in the fact that they're not included
in SFtSG) but Duellist styles (like Fencing, Bojutsu,
and others), as well as an expanded weapons list. It
even includes combat styles for the Garou (Kailindo
and Klave Duelling) and Vampires (Kibatsumejutsu),
rules for handling Magick and Glamour (Mage and
Changeling abilities), and a small section on creating
Special Maneuvers, including point costs. I had it
for quite a while (until it was stolen), so I'd say
it's a definite bonus supplement. I'd suggest you get
it A.S.A.P.!

One major difference is Initiative (instead of a set
Speed, you roll a number of dice equal to
Dex+Modifier, with the number of successes determining
when you go), and Attack (you actually roll first to
see if you hit, then you roll Damage separately).
There are other minor changes, but I can't remember
them all.

images of her past three fights began flashing through
her head...

> Visage wins by knockout.

That fight had been over way to soon...sure, she had
expected the possibility of losing against Visage, but
not that quick, not like that. She wiped the tears
off her cheeks as she took another swallow of her
drink.

> Mr.Military wins by knockout.

At least she lasted longer this second time. Artemis
couldn't belive she blew her opening move. Maybe he
was right. Maybe her attitude was getting in the way
of her thinking...or maybe she just wasn't good
enough.

> Howard Ng wins by knockout.

Like the second fight, she did last a while, but in
the end, she lost. Three fights, three
losses...that's not a good way to start a career on
the circuit. "Maybe I should just quit... It's
obvious I don't have what it takes... Not compared to
fighters like these..."

Then another memory sprang to mind...a memory of her
friend and partner Yukiko. "I believe in you,
Artemis, no matter what happens." Yukiko had said
that to her just before a really nasty encounter with
a group of drug dealers. She won that day...

...and she would do so again. She just needed a new
strategy. With the Gateway Tournament coming up, she
would have her chance at Visage again...but this time,
with luck, she would be stronger. "Thank you,
Yukiko." she whispered to herself, smiling.

She would win, for Yukiko.

American Wrestling, Ninjitsu, Psychic, Silat, Tribal Fighting 1; Any 2

Description: Those who live in or around the wilds quickly learn to pay
attention to even the smallest detail as if their life depended on it. Some
styles teach this ancient instinct out of respect for their ancestors or, in
the case of Ninjitsu, because the deadliest foe is the one you fail to
notice. Many Psychics and Kabbadi stylists possess this ability, for one
must be aware of this world before senseing the next.

System: Anyone using this power has all Perception Difficulties reduced by 2.
At the Storyteller's option the Character may notice things normally
imperceptable to Humans. It takes a round to activate this power, as the
Character must attune herself to her surroundings. This power has no use in
combat against a single foe unless the Character must locate that opponent.

OOC: I think I'll keep the strategy I sent you.

IC: Sammi chuckled to herself as she headed over to
where the fights were being held. Looking around the
ring for a spot to warm up, she spied Snake, doing the
same. "Not bad," she thought as she ran through her
stretches. "Let's see how well he does against me."

"HEY SNAKE!!" she yelled across the arena. "Prepare
to have your fangs pulled!!!"

Yes, the book is very similar. A lot of ripping off from the street fighter
books took place in Combat. However, the book is not really street-fighter
style, and compatibility is low, save that you could translate the Styles,
although they would need some modification due to the amount of missing
Maneuvers in the Combat book.

On the heightened senses power:

Looks good. 'd use it as a Special Power (in the Encyclopedia Combatica).
However, I think that it should lower the difficulty of Blindfighting
rolls by 1 in or out of combat.
I do not think the Maneuver is powerful enough to warrant a Cost of 2 to
any Style or Background. I would give it an "any 1" cost.

I'd like to add that the "any 1" cost makes it easier for players to
purchase the Maneuver at a beginning level, if the player feels it fits the
character concept well, without doing too much damage to the starting points
people would much rather spend on things that will directly affect their
success in combat.

I've read it. there are some extra styles and maneuvers in there that aren't in the SF books, but the system is basically a direct rip.  I'd heard from guys at White Wolf that they liked SF's rules too much to dump it so they added it to the WoD as some optional material.  Personally, though, I wouldn't use it.
