Dude I fully support a central site with all the resources from the web
on it but I'd prefer it be done on a volunteer basis with due credit
given and frankly, I'd prefer it to appear in a much nicer format.
Sorry if you think we're all being rude, but hey, you asked for
feedback. Besides, I think now that the vault is being used a little
more we can use that to post all of our hard to find gems from now
defunct pages. It's a heck of a lot more neutral, anyway.

Actually I would give between 3 and 6 per session. There's an awful lot to
buy in Street Fighter, and it gets more expensive as you go.

OK, so we know Donovan turns bad. From another source I posted before, we
know that Donovan and Amanda have a psychic link. Amanda has a scarf.
Donovan was the teacher of Amanda.

I can't comment on the resemblance between Amanda and Rose at the end.

From SF, M. Bison is evil. M. Bison and Rose have a psychic link (also
posted before). Both Amanda and Rose have a scarf (does any other Capchron
character have one?) M. Bison was Rose's teacher. Nobody in the Street
Fighter universe seems to know where either Rose or M. Bison come from.

The more I look into this, the more I suspect that the links between them are
intentional. Although it might be retrofitting on Capchron's part.

Of course, this is all speculation.

I have the Night Warrior's strategy guide.... Which feature's artwork from
Capcom's design team.
One of these whimsical illustrations features Morrigan and Felicia in the
foreground looking amazed and frightened as Morrigan reads Amanda's diary!
Felicia is looking back in fear at Amanda (in her pajamas).
Behind the bored looking Amanda is the unmistakable silhouette of Akuma!!
This illustration always represented some sort of connection between Akuma
and Amanda to me.- of course it could have been just an illustrator's
scribble, not really official history.

And while we are on the subject of Night Warrior's artwork, has anyone
noticed some of the risque pseudo-sexual content!?!

One Illustration of the group clearly depicts Morrigan licking something
white off of her middle finger!!! If you just glance at it, you really don't
notice. "Aww...she's just got her finger to her lips" - you might say, until
you look closer.- Amazing!

Another squished together group picture, shows Rikuo's nose stuffed in
Morrigan's plentiful cleavage, while Victor seems to be looking right at
Felicia's shapely butt (at rather close range I might add) with a BIG smile
on his face, and the top of his head blowing off! ( Obviously, the good
Doctor didn't neglect giving Victor Everything in his construction)

I think Donovans kind of obsessed with her though.

Still....I guess you could be right....A little interpreted ... but maybe.

Well there is puzzle fighter, in which the two types go toe to toe.
Besides, there are already monsters in the SF universe.
Group: streetfighter Message: 2864 From: J. Scott Pittman Date: 10/20/1999
Subject: Re: My new site
I suggest making a link page, with links to every page you can find that
deals with Street Fighter, and why you like or dislike the page, and what is
on it worth looking at. people will appreciate your work in locating and
compiling those pages in one place, and yet you won't be making anyone mad
by using their material. Many role-play games have these "link only" types
of pages - and I'll bet lots of us wouldn't mind linking ourselves to a
Street Fighter page like that, tieing us all together.
I'd ask you to please delete the page posted, and work on something like I
mentioned above, or something totally of your own creation. Not saying we
don't appreciate the hard work - I'm sure we all do, but we would like to
see our own stuff viewed on our own pages, that's why we made our own pages
to begin with!
Please delete any of my original material, altered/edited material, and
references to me on your page, including the power ranks guide from the
vault, and the creating new maneuvers chart (revised or not). I would
greatly appreciate it. But I thank you for the compliment of thinking my
stuff was good enough to want to use it on your page.
So who is with me here - would we like to see a Links page instead of this
one? I, for one, would be more than grateful for a good link page. I didn't
even know there was a Street Fighter: TSG anything for the three years I've
been on the net. A links page might have solved that.

Hello,

I am truly sorry about your grandmother. But I have to ask you to please
refrain from swearing on the list as there may be some younger people on the
list and we should all set a good example. Nothing gets resolved by yelling
and flaming each other, it just causes people to go on the defensive.

Thanks, you have all been a great group of people and would hate to see this
list turn into an unfriendly place.

In the Japanese version of either Marvel vs. Capcom or Marvel vs. Street
Fighter (damn my failing memory), Anita was a hidden character. One of
her moves involved summoning (sort of like what Donovin does) Akuma who
does his dragon punch for her.

There are so many hentai sites for Darkstalkers that I'm not even going to
bother listing them (besides, it's kinda inapropriate for this list).

If you want to find them, the best way is to pull up a random search
engine (any will do) look up something relatively innocent (my favorite is
shoe laces) and at least half your hits will be porn.

Before you go any further, if this thread bores or annoys you set a
killfile/filter/whatever your mail program calls it for [flame] in the
subject heading. This'll make it so that you won't even see these

That's our (I should stop saying that, that my) problem in a nutshell.

I got no problem with it being used, that _is_ why I posted it. I didn't
post it so someone with no original material of their own could steal it
without permission (redundant I know, but bear with me) and claim it's
their's.

Now Hoffman......Just because your

Wonder what one thing he's talking about, it's not on his page whatever it
is because what he swiped from me came from the list. Kinda makes me
wonder if he's even seen my page.

And I'm not mad, yet. At the moment I'm feeling a bizarre combination of
joy (I'm being plagerized, that means that I have something worth
stealing!), annoyance (I'm being plagerized. I'll have to do something
about that or else it'll set a bad precedent.), and amusement.

This the first time I've been plagerized, what should I be feeling?

I've made a good resource page too. It's called a link page (or section

Then why did you send your URL to the list. Ignoring the other issues for

Hey Tim....?

Just a suggestion, bunkee....

If you spent about one-tenth of the time drawing up a nifty little
disclaimer to slap on your site as you do trying to defend yourself,
then this entire thing would be over, you wouldn't piss off anyone, and
you would not have to worry about the very, very jumpy Yahoo/Geocities
yanking your site for plagerism.

BTW, a disclaimer looks something like this...

This work is copyrighted ((insert year here)) by ((insert name of

Now, for the tricky part. You either put down

This page is not a challenge to any copyrights, real or assumed.
((insert name of original author here)) has graciously allowed me to
use this on my site. Thank you.

Admittedly, it is a lot of time ((not effort unless you have a really
screwed up browser)) to search for something as specific as the
Streetfighter STG. It _is_ difficult to cut and paste a few posts and
do a little minor editing. And we here all respect you for
that............

I've already done that. It's called a link page and it takes up much less
space in your geocities account. I've also done something else, an
archive for material I didn't write and am hosting on my site (pay close
attention now, this is the important part) with the original author's
_permissions_.
Now if

A central page is a good idea, but without the various permisisons needed,
it's still plagerism.

Like I said before, it's not the credit (ok, it's not completely the
credit) it's that you posted on your page without my concent.

And as for the the last line, I'm sure there's a donkey joke in there
somewhere, but I can't find it.

Now I'll admit that us RPG webpage owners (and not just the SF:STG ones)
are walking a fine line legally (myself included, myself especially). The
difference is that most of us have the tact aproval (or at least the tact
indifference) of the original authors.

I think we've made it clear that you don't.

I'm not sure, but I think the MLA is still working on that one. A lot of
these are pretty sticky as far as documentation goes because it's off of a
mailing list.

As a suggestion, here's my suggested (read: not MLA aproved) format for a
mailing list citation.

Original Thread. Author, Mailing List Server. Date of Post.

Yes this probably doesn't answer your question in the slightest, but I
needed to get that off your chest. And yes, this is probably wrong.

Besides, credit isn't the issue for me so it doesn't matter (to me) what
format he uses (as far as I'm concerned).

I'm quite aware of the proliferation of porn. Type just about anything in a
search engine and you will get porn links of some sort. My point, however is
the fact that the artwork I was referring to is actual official Capcom
artwork. I just found it kind of over the top.

It is Fuzion, though a very simple version... 4 primary stats (don't have
my copy on me), minimal skills, maneuvers are created by adding dice and
subtracting a like amount of skill. Supermoves are done using a 10 dice
to 1 difficulty ratio, though power for the moves must be built up over
successive actions, like the series. All in all, it seems to capture the
flavor very well, and from discussions on the Fuzion list, the few who
have played it said it was a blast.

Yes, there is a lot to buy, I agree.

To clarify my first post: My stories are 5 chapters long 90% of the time,
and the characters get 2.5 points per chapter, plus 2.5 at the end of the
story.

The only reason to give the characters a lot of points IMO is to make sure
they keep their stats at a level equal to their rank. In my chronicle this
solves itself however. Group A enters tournaments only once every three
stories or so. Group 2 fight in the ring 2/3 of all stories. Group III are
pretty much like group A. I e, they have time to get experience without the
competition getting tougher meanwhile.

Kristofer

P.S. And now it's sadly semi-official (I haven't informed the players yet)
and fairly-certain: my chronicle is now on ice for at least, say, 20 months
:(

Subject: Re: POLL: How much experience...
The reason I give a decent amount of experience (Street Fighter about 3-6
for me.) has more to do with my player's need to feel as though their
characters are improving steadily. No statistics about it. As a player, I
have encountered the annoying problem of not improving fast enough, it can
be a real pain. Mind you it really doesn't help to give too much Exp.
either, I've also been in a few games where I refused Experience all
together because I felt it was too much, and I wanted my character to
progress a little slower.
The real trick I guess is to find a happy balance with your players. If they
start complaining that they cannot raise anything the way they want to, and
getting distraught/frustrated, It may be time to raise the ante by a couple
of points per session. But set a cap at a reasonable level. I personally
don't have a problem with my characters raising an average Stat. every three
to four sessions (depending on the game system of course).
Just ride the wave and don't think too much about the numbers, they're just
guidelines anyway. The player's needs for fun are more important.

I have conversions of nearly every Dead or Alive fighter if you're interested.  Some of the hidden costumes for the fighters are great, too. ;)

only histories I know of are those in the manual.  there's a nice desktop theme with some fantastic wallpaper available though.

I just picked up two new fighting games (well new to me). They were used so
I got them really cheap. One was K-1 Revenge. I personally don't like it.
The other is Dead or Alive and I really like the game. The bouncing breasts
made me laugh so hard I kept losing everytime I played. Does anyone know
where I can find details on the characters? Not fighting moves, but things
like histories, styles, etc.

Thanks

Well, Morrigan is a succubus, which according to legend which seduced men and

Perhaps a little too much for some people though...yes?...no?
My real point seems to get lost easily here. OK, I just found it interesting
that these not so subtle sexual overtones are in a Video Game manual that
can be bought and viewed by anyone and it hasn't been censored in some way.

Being a designer, I try to keep my eyes open for that sort of thing, sex in
advertising ...and the like. I found it interesting, and I wondered if
anyone else noticed it....Just another little fact for Video Game lore.

Well, SF2 always did have that peek at Chun Li's panties when she got knocked
out. Not to mention Mai Shiranui. I am guessing that the Japanese are a
little more open about sexual matters (well, maybe not more open, but more
accepting). I am also guessing most video game players are young males, and
nothing sells to young males like not so subtle sexual overtones. Look at
all those old pulp scifi covers with nubile scantily clad women being
threatened by monsters.

Oh yeah, no doubt, no argument here, but censorship (actually law) wise,
white creamy fluids, That shall remain nameless here, are only allowed to be
seen in XXX movies or perhaps pre natal specials on PBS. I'm pretty sure if
it were noticed by even the tamest branch of the moral majority (minority

Group: streetfighter Message: 2893 From: JSorochins@aol.com Date: 10/21/1999
Subject: Street Fighter 2010
This is for all those SF historians out there.

For those that do not know, Street Fighter 2010 was a game released by
Capchron that came out after SF1 but before SF2. Only the American version
was claimed to be connected to Street Fighter, the japanese version had
nothing to do with it.

Most feel that Streetfighter 2010 shouldn't be considered a part of the
Streetfighter universe, but for those that want it, here is the storyline.
Please keep in mind, I have never played the game, so this is all second hand
info. If anyone has more or more correct information, I would most
appreciate it.

------------------------------

The year is 2010. Ken is now a middle aged man. Now, since giving up
streetfighting many years ago, he has become a scientist. (maybe Eliza made
him become responsible?). He is working on a cybernetic armour, when his
good friend Troy is blasted by some bad guy.

Apparently the battle takes him off earth.

In the end, he finds out that Troy himself is the enemy he's been hunting
down. Troy tells Ken that the armour he has been using has a deadly disease
that will kill him soon. After the battle with Troy, Ken finds out that the
disease from the suit has become an epidemic on Earth. Ken teleports to
Earth to stop it.

Ken's abilities in Streetfighter 2010 (thanks to Eugene Wong)

The armor allows Ken to cling to walls ala spiderman and to leap even farther
and higher than he usually can.

Rapid Fire 360 degree Hadouken: Ken can aim the fireballs and shoot them much
faster without the delay and with only one hand! This can be done when
scaling walls or in mid air. But they don't go very far without distance
upgrades for the armor. (Myself, I think this is a fair improvement to the
fireball, seeing as Ken has been around for so long at this point)

Distance Hadouken Barage: Ken can send his fireballs farther but they are
slower . He punches the air and they fly off of his hands, then his feet. He
has to be standing though.

Flip Shield Flashkick: Much like Guile's Flashkick. He does a flip and
whatever his feet touch is damaged or destroyed. Since he must have the flip
shield upgrade for the armor, it would appear this is an ability of the suit.

Gradius Option: Whatever this touches dies. (I myself haven't played Gradius,
so I don't get Eugene's reference to the game)

I used to work in a bookstore, and it was very difficult NOT to sell
inapprobriate material even to children, unless it was deemed obscene. The
management was concerned about First Amendment rights. It would be difficult
to prove the white creamy substance was indeed what we all know it was, so I
imagine nobody thought it worthwhile to actually try to have it censored.
Although, it does seem they try to take away more First Amendment rights here
in America everyday.

Okay two questions Chris what is MLA is it that

Question 2 My problem will eventually be I have a
limited idea of who's stuff is what that i've
downloaded I have no Idea if i'll put any of it up
ever but if i do how should i credit it because I did
a ton (i.e about 45 word documents each 100 pages
long(still sorting)) of cut from a web site and paste
into word see the problem I didn't get who belonged to
what but I'm sure if I went back out on the net I
could figure out what belongs to who.

Acutal Question:
Anyway how would I credit this just put a big
discalimer to the effect of "I have no idea who any of
this stuff is sorry." or something more formal like
"This site in no way infringes on anyone's
intellectual id or rights...yad..yad..yada..yada". A
lot more help would be appreciated. Great amount of
detail too oh and did I say A Lot Lot more help.
Please.

Well, "cheese" is measured at a relative point. Someone could say that
streetfighter is "cheesy" just because you can throw fireballs, etc. and
prefer virtual fighter or tekken. DragonballZ is an anime adventure game.
Anime is usually over the top in one way or the other. In its own
evironment it makes sense, and is not a comedy (many people died over the
course of the series). So taken in context, I would say that it was not
"cheesy". Of course this is all IMHO, and YMMV...

Supposedly it was just (according to an old GamePro) a secret. In the
Japanese version one learned his name (Ken) near the end, as he had amnesia
for the early portions of it (due to the disease). The 'disease' was a
mutagenic disease that imbued it's infectees with additional power, but
would eventually kill them. (That was the source of the monsters he fought
earlier.)

It gets better, later on in the series it 100000 (or something equally
ridiculous). When Goku has to cut loose, all his friends jump into Nuke
bunkers or something.

You seem to have already answered that question. (45 docs, 100 pgs. each!
Share the wealth man!)

That's a good start actually. What I'd do is put up the page with that
disclaimer and whenever someone says 'hey, that's my stuff' either take
down that section(s) or put 'writen by John/Jane Doe' maybe with an e-mail
or web addie if you're feeling particularly ambitious, whichever they
request.

As for the disclaimer (which now that I think about it, I should have
too.) I'd do something like this:

*
These pages are not meant to infringe on anyone's intelectual ideas,
copywrites, copylefts, or copyuppercuts. Street Fighter is owned by
Capcom, and they'll hunt down anyone who tries to take it away. Street
Fighter: The Storytelling Game (SF:STG) was licensed to White-Wolf
Studios, but quite frankly I have no idea who has ownership now, if
anyone. X-files is owned by Fox and created by Chris Carter, not that it
matters since this is a Street Fighter page. Bill Gates is a wenie who
was traumatized as a small child when a window crashed on him and we are
all paying for it. Kill Bernie Solar. Down with the man. Drink Prune
Juice, it's a warrior's drink. Excelsior.
*

But then again, I'm a jerk (with a very questionable sense of humor) so
you probably want to do something a bit different.

Remind me to tell you about the time I posted an X-Files fic w/out a
disclaimer. Man did I get slammed.

I hope you guys forgive me especially

Sure we'll (I've _got_ to stop doing that) I'll forgive you.

Of course we'll still talk to you. We're too few (and smart) to throw
away a member with the good taste to like Warrior's World. Besides, we've
all got the same goals: *wind begins to pick-up, the sky darkens, thunder
and lightning crash in the distance* To make Street Fighter, the greatest
RPG *lightning flashes dramaticaly* ON THE PLANET!! *pauses and looks down
at the script* AND BEYOND!!

Hi folks, If you want to find out more about the history of the ninja and
info on their martial arts styles etc Surf the web for a guy called Masaaki
Hatsumi. He is the head honcho or Soke of half a dozen ninjitsu ryu.
