Okay, I'm almost positive that the beeds has religious significance to either
Shinto or Buddism (or both).

I do believe that Akuma swipes sould (chi) from his victoms, but I don't think
he stores it. I just think he eats the souls.

Note that I doubt that you'll ever find this written anywhere else, this is
just my personal take on it.

never fear. matt is here.
(woohoo)
Im going to copy the stupid books and if they want to pay their
lawyers their hard earned money to sue me for damages I cant pay,
just for being a fan and not making a red cent they can go ahead.

ive been putting it off though cause its a pain in the ass.

either i scan them which is slightly easier and quicker but with a
huge filesize,

or

I type them, which has a small filesize but takes forever and is vry
inconvenient.

-------------------

either way for conveinience's sake I was gonna omit all the filler
garbage and just have it a bare-bones thing with only what you nee to
play.

like for instance, the following sections:

all rules for dice rolls out of combat and the entire combat chapter.
rules for rank and experience.
all moves and styles.
sheet and cards.
only the world warrior's sheets.
new rules in other books like the hybrids, ninjas, and cyborgs,
duelists, weapons.
new moves from other books,
new styles from other books.

NO storys or lectures about roleplaying in general.
No stupid npc's like thugs you can just make up yourself.

what do ya'll think?

Oh the point of this was, well, you know the newer FS services like
Morpheus have no central server, so like, nobody would ever know who
scanned a book, unless they signed their name on it. :P

I dunno about PDF... Word should only store your registration name and
such, but I think you can mod the document properties.

This may sound like a dumb question, but this is the first time I've heard

the simplest way to describe it is like napster but for ANY file (not
just music)

also good is kazaa (the one i use) @ kazaa.com

I know i would rather download color scans (as long as they were good) because then you get all the extra cool stuff and then take it to kinkos and have it binded. that way its a nice looking copy and pictures. I would personally like it more in a jpeg format so that way we could put it into whatever formant we wanted (doc. or pdf.) Yea its alot of pictures but mabey do both: keep all the scanned documents in jpeg and also create a pdf or doc file.

I know if one man, one strong willed, brave individual, were to put as many books as he owned into a scanned jpeg or pdf format, he would be a hero to many of the poor individuals who, like myself, can no longer enjoy the pleasures known as the Street Fighter RPG.

Morpheus is a file charing program that works much like Napster did...except
as was previously mentioned there is no central server.

.rtf files would be much faster to download (much, much, much faster), and are usually easier to cut and paste from, as well as look things up with. If you are not going to do the entire book, but the bare-bones rules, I suggest .rtf files.

I have no experience at all with scanned books online. what do you
guys think is an acceptable size for an electronic book?

it looks like its going to be big.
I just finished the 12th page and the folder they are in is @ 1.16MB
already.

I dont mind big stuff like this or movies etc. cuz i have a cable

so if anyone here has downloaded a scanned book before, tell me
approx how big they are. This is like 184+ color pages scanned big
enough to be legible.

Which brings me to a point for the whole list, but I'll get to it later.

I wonder, does that make my characters the appetizer?

Yes.  And they're darn tasty too.

And don't just restrict yourself to house rules or other articals
that have graced The Pride in the past.  One of the reasons I was a
long time Dragon Magazine subscriber was their reviews.  Feel free to
send in reviews on Anime/Action movies that you feel might inspire a
chronical.  Another reason is the really cool art and comics.  If
you've got artistic tendencies, I'd love to see some SF humor.  Or
drama.  Or Action.  Or even the stats of Dilbert the World Warrior.
Use your imagination.  If you don't have one, I'll let you borrow
mine.

Ditto, I have ideas I either can't work with, or just don't have the time.

Anyone interested in getting ideas, or storylines to develop just drop me a line.

I'll even plot out a comic if I can get someone to draw it.

I'll run practically anything (I'm desperate) as long as their some
kind of connection to SF.  Anything goes.  I don't censor.  I usually
forget to spell check even.

The Editor

My own fiction shows just how lose that connection can be....

But on to a serious matter....

I am currently drafting an article for (hopefully) the next future issue.  The title is 'Shadows over Talwood'.  It goes a bit into the history of Talwood, the neighborhoods, local quirks, and the local Street Fighter Circuit.  With luck, I might even finish stats for two of our heroes.

Making fighters is a weakness of mine, however, and most of my storyline has little to do with the circuit.  Hence... I am asking for Street Fighters of Talwood.

Submissions for Talwood personalities should be sent to me IN ADDITION to being sent to The Editor, since I'll be working them into the article.

Talwood is growing coastal town in Oregon, the main industry is shipping, with a growing movie presence.  Shadoloo has very little presence there.

Rank 6 is fairly high for the area, fighters of that level have little reason to stay long.

Dispite the events in the story, supernatural beings and events should be avoided, for a variety of reasons.  References to personalities and events in White Wolf's 'World of Darkness' setting are to be avoided like the plague- Talwood is NOT in the world of Darkness, and the supernatural works very differently there.

I have seen it. It was on USA cable network for a bit. Bad animation, and the storyline was wierd. Basically Liu Kang and Kitana were defending the planet from "illegal" invasions and they teamed up with sonja and jax who already had this big underground base. The writing was bad and of course when a new game came out it was like "Who was that??" "It was shao khans deadliest assasin, rain." LAME ACTS OF SELF PROMOTION. It came on coincidently after the short lived street fighter cartoon. That was pretty good.

Now I have a question for you. WHAT IS THE POINT OF AKUMA JUST STANDING IN THE BACKROUND IN THE SFV CARTOONS. Hes like picking up luggage, shopping for bracelets, and fighting with a gang that got dropped quicker than DeeJay vs. Bison.I mean come on. One of the coolest SF characters fighting with common street thugs. REDICULOUS!!!

My rant is now done....

Well, because it's amusing. That's why.

Ever watch She-Ra? They had that little furry character who hid in every

To be accurate Exosquad came out in 1993, which would means it doesn't qualify for the 80's. But it's the thought that counts =)
A shame it only ran for two seasons, but it wasn't a show just out to make money; it was set to tell a story and it told it in full. I still wish there had been more.

You might notice that there were some Robotech toys in Exosquad containers. They were set to bring in that universe for a crossover series, but apparently the idea didn't fly. (Those familiar with Macross might be able to make some guesses as to what ate the Dark Matter planet in the last episode.)

Hello,

Maybe if we ask them something like that :
we got X people , with the following name and adress, and we would like to
reproduct the book, because all those people are fan and really hope to have
those books.

So maybe they will not fear to grant us autorization, i presume they fear if
they do they will have thousands of copy running around. If we ask them the
autorization for a fixed number, that can decide them.

Later all

Hi, Guys!

OK, I saw Mortal Kombat: Defenders of teh Realm.
It's... disgusting. The animation isn't that bad, but
the plot is terrible, with the Kombatants flying in
jets to the ends of the world, just to close a gate to
the others Realms (and fight one of Shao Khan's
minions in the process).
It is based (barely) in the MK Movie (the first one,
I think, Didn't watched the second one). Believe me,
you don't lose anything if you didn't watched this
cartoon..

That fear is not unfounded. Just because it is said that only 'X' number
of people have the softcopy, what's stopping the distribution? Once one
softcopy is made, it opens up the potential for an infinite number of
duplicates. THis is what frightens copyright owners about software
distribution.

So, I can't say I blame them...

Oh and the fact that they're not making money off the material anymore
isn't the issue. It's the principle behind copyright infringement that
they'd be maintaining.
