for the new people and for the veterans in tournament. this advice to everyone abot the
fights:
20 rounds of combat and I need tactics from the fighter to known what they will do but
the major part of player send me this but the most important thing is the note list
there exist the abort cases you know ex:
- Abort to jump when a fireball coming
- Abort to block any knockdown manuver

Of course I don´t cover the huge list of possibilities of aborts but the players can
think about it because all npc´s have their own battle plan and abort list when they are
created.

maybe so, but you could always restrict it to Indian styles as they
would be the only ones able to each its use effectively. Given the wide
range of weapons, some will always be better than others so you have to
rely on in-game restrictions.

I hope the Katar would be banned from that tournament. A weapon with +2
Spd, +2 Dam AND +0 Move just is too good.

Okay, I've said it before, but since I don't think I've said it here, I'll say
it again...

Xoom sucks the filling out of my jelly donughts.

I get more Network errors from Xoom than I get from any three other servers on
the internet.

On the plus side, my pages are still there (even when you're having a hard time
accessing them) and they don't change the pages by adding code.

Even so, expect me to move my webpages somewhere else this month (I'll tell you
guys where, when I figure it out).

Use the Dragon Ball Z rpg for that.

or hell, just do the "Storyteller Can Do That" thing and say "He blows
up a Sun. I'd run now if I were you."

It's amazing how fast you can get people to run away if you feign skill
checks by rolling large handfuls of dice and then announce "The cyborgs
rams his fist into the nearest concrete wall and then looks at you like,
"You're next."

Of course, dice are funny that way. Once I did a "Test Your Might"
thingy during a tournament and it resulted in four out of the five
participants breaking whatever limb they used. Botch Botch Botch Botch.

one other thing I learned in that experiment is that you need to
quantify *how* they're allowed to try and break the block. I had my
wife playing (first time) and said "select a maneuver to break the
block." Her immediate response was "Double-Hit Kick". I hadn't taken
that into account... I had assumed everyone would know you needed to
strike only once (how often do you see someone bust up a board with five
hits?)

One of the first times I ever played Street Fighter, the gm had a test your
might contest. I had my boxer decide that he would try to impress everyone
by using his head. I tripple botched. Knocked himself out cold and got a
concussion. Couldn't even compete in the rest of the tournament. I was
doing so well too.

dunno. I cancelled my local weekly game for the moment, so I doubt I'll
be up for a PBEM. If I decide to do it again I'll letcha know.

You still interested in running a PBEM? I'd definitely take you up

it. :-)

Hey Brian, c'mere. I wanna talk to you. No, this isn't a baseball bat
with nails sticking out of it. You're just imagining things. C'mon,
it'll be fun...

okay, enough silliness. Ranma was some of the first Anime I ever saw
and it caught me immediately. In my (not quite) humble opinion, Ranma
has some of the best character development/interaction I've *ever* seen,
in addition to some really funny slapstick and genuinely original
writing.

Sure, it may not be for everyone, but if you like character-based
(romantic) comedy, it just can't be beat.

Speaking of which, has anyone here seen Maison Ikkoku? I saw some
previews and it looks great, but I can't find copies anywhere.

That depends. If you're talking about a true-life weapon that just hasn't
been brought into Street Fighter yet, then probably, after a review by me.
If it's a completely original weapon, I would have to get a very good reason
as to why the character would have the weapon, why it was built and such.

That's Echinda...it's (I believe) a cross between an
anteater and a porcupine, but don't quote me on that.
If I can find them, I'll post my version of them, or
send them to WP...(I know I can at least find Sonic.)

Actually, I was thinking about something that may be a little similiar. Each
fighting style has certain weapons associated with it...those will be
"bought" with the normal point cost. A fighter can learn to use a weapon not
associated with his style, but only by paying a higher point cost.

Never seen it, but it tends to have the best fanfics so that's something going
for it.

I've only just started watching DBZ and I think it's damn funny. I rate the
Goku and Princess Snake exchange one of my favorite comedy scnes in anime.

You have to love Goku, he's the perfect straight man.

Unfortunately, DBZ tends to have the worst fanfics...

I'd go out on a limb and say that a romantic comedy attracts much more
literate attention than a show about spike-haired weirdos who fly and
blow up planets with their fists.

I had loved the original Dragonball, so when DBZ came out I rushed out to get
the 1st video, which I love. Unfortunately, after that it seems to start to
suffer from Street Fighter V syndrome, which is"start off strong and then
take entire episodes to show what could have been done in three minutes by
reusing footage" Street Fighter V tapes 1-5 are fantastic but the rest could
have been cut down to 2 or 3 tapes max and would have been more fun to watch.
What is it with the Japanese and drawn out endings? When the fifth to last
episode is called: The final Encounter part 1 of 5, you know you're in
trouble

But it doesnt matter outside of the tournament.
It doesnt matter if you do this to bison outside of a match.
YOu wont lose any honour. And its a matter of what you are willing to risk.
Some fighters know it not honorable but will do it anyway. They can gain
there honour other places.

I can almost see it, it just isn't entertaining to me you know? I don't
know what it is, but I think the premise is just stupid to me, it also
could be that I was playing street fighter one day and my character got
thrust into the body of a 15 year old girl for like a week, it was UTTERLY
humiliating. I think I took it a little personally. . . . . .

My GM says it's got the best martial arts action in an anime, for my money,
I prefer fist of the north star, GREAT movie, best ever in my opinion,
story line and fight scenes . . . . .

Like the Tai Chi sword, NO WAY that thing is speed -1, it should be like
spd +1 or 2, damage +2, those things are BAD ASS!!

I watched a few episodes of DBZ once, the characters look like chibified
street fighters, I thought they would be cool, the beginning of the show
was great, and then I said "Hey, where did all the fighting in the intro go?"

After a few years, Ranma grew old for me. The number of annoying Ranma
fans I met may also have something to do with that. No urge whatsoever to
watch it today - but I'm not throwing my tapes yet. DBZ I can't stand.
However, there is a lot of anime I do dearly love, some of which is good
Street Fighter material. I do have to agree that Ranma is a good show to
watch for outrageous martial art moves.

Variable Geo is a good anime and one based around a fighting tournament
to boot.

It's a Diablo-style RPG by Nihilistic Software based on White Wolf's
Vampire: The Masquerade. It even has a multiplayer mode that lets you
run your own chronicles, and an editing kit will be released next week
to let you make your own levels/NPCS/whatever.

Fist of the North Star? It was ridiculous...

I will now re-enact every fight scene in Fist of the North Star for you
here.

Thug: "Hey! Ken! Yo momma!"

Ken: "Yaaaaaadididididididididididi" *punch flurry*

Thug: *head explodes*

Thank you. I'm here all week.

Variable Geo good? Just so you know it is a bad anime based on a
semi
amusing hentai game, where women fight and the loser loses her
clothes. Good premise no? well they screwed it up.. and tried to
make it cleaner and the plot made no sense.

and as for Fist of the North Star Steve beat me to it.

Thank you all for your time and patience.

Oh, come on. Unless the weapon is self-propelled (like a spring knife),
there's no way it should _add_ to your speed. Your saying that your hand moves
faster while holding a pound or so of metal than when it's empty? At best the
difference is negligable (+0). Can't comment on the damage though...
