In my experience, if you just take a turn to show off, your opponent will get angry and run up to YOU with an offensive maneuver--then just Block and nail him with a zero-movement counterattack. Plus, the crowd digs it, so you get a Glory bonus...

Regeneration works, too. They see your wounds disappear and they can't wait to give you some fresh ones. Fight smart, not hard!

Subject: CHAMPS update
Still working on the new version of CHAMPS. Looking good so far. I've had
about a 95% match-up on points, except for ear pop and haymaker (which
actualy should cost around 1 point for any style - look at it!). Ear pop
should, of course, be omitted from the books for lack of intelligence.
Anyway, it's not done yet, but for those of you who have been asking...

The new version will include a "Style Summary" section to help you decide
what Styles should get what kind of Maneuvers at what costs, and what
Maneuvers should be "any" and what should be Style-specific. So far this has
been one of the more time consuming aspects, but well worth it I think.
It will also include rules (finished already, I THINK) for choosing and
gaining "construction points" for maneuvers that must be earned before you
can have the new Maneuver. The price of the Maneuver will also concider the
Techniques that are required to learn the Maneuver.

Cool, no?

No, that's Hunted. Abberant is their superhero game and my character Chaos
does 8 to 12 levels of unsoakable aggravated damage with each energy blast
and can fire over thirty of them before tiring. Oh and the wounds never heal
if you're just a normal human. Plus he flies, has super dexterity, a mental
shield, and supercharisma (everyone loves him!) I'd pit him against that
vampire any day.

You may be thinking of Hunters Hunted, but the "normal humans" are better than humans (I've been told to think Buffy the Vampire Slayer level).

P.S. My revised SF maneuver list won't be up til tomorrow. Maybe in a week or two I'll have an actual SF RPG web page up. With other stuff.

They're not exactly "normal" people in Hunter: The Reckoning either...
They were normal once...not now...

In my above comment, I meant Hunted, or whatever the new RPG/STG is called, not the old Hunters Hunted supplement.

For a Stroyteller system that you can make up any kind of character with,
see the Legends section of my web page. I made this system long before
Abberant came out. It has complete rules for making up super powers, and has
a spell section, Advantages and Weaknesses, Backgrounds, rules for making up
martial arts maneuvers, and my best idea ever, the Heart and Darkness rules.
It also includes advanced rules for weapons and armor in the Storyteller
system and a whole lot more. Enjoy!

They were interesting. I had ideas for similar moves (mainly Muay Thai).
Implementation is slightly different from yours.

    Explosion Punch
    Prerequisites: Punch 4, Athletics 4
    Power Points: Any KickBoxing, BX, (regular) Kung Fu 3; Any other KF 4 ;
    Any 5
The fighter rushes forward and delivers an onslaught of quick punches. A
    favorite of Joe Higashi.

System: For every hex of movement that doesn't need to be traveled to hit
the opponent, one punch may be delivered for each hex of movement left
over. If an attack is made, move both the attacker and defender forward
one hex (in the attack's direction) for every two punches (if movement is
    not obstructed).
    Cost: 1 Will
    Speed: -1
    Damage: -2
    Move: +0

    Mirage Kick
    Prerequisite: Kick 4, Athletics 4, Double-Hit Kick
Power Points: Any KB, WS 3; KF 4
The fighter dashes into the opponent, delivering a series of lightning
    kicks.

System: For every hex of movement that doesn't need to be traveled to hit
the opponent, one punch may be delivered for each hex of movement left
over. If an attack is made, move both the attacker and defender forward
one hex (in the direction of the kicks) for every two kicks (if movement
    is not obstructed).
    Cost: 1 Will
    Speed: -2
    Damage: -1
    Move: +0

For one character I was trying to mimic, King from the King of Fighters,
I actually had to use Wu Shu in the SF STG to mimic her Muay Thai style
in the videogame ^^ Funny how things work out.

I was wondering how much fighters tend to earn in other people's games. Depending on rank? Glory?

I've been tending to give out rewards of $1000-$2000 in prize money for a win. I may have once given out $5,000. But now, there are several rank one, no glory fighters in the part next to a Glory 5 and Glory 8 character.

Depends, my character hasn't earned any money for any fights outside of his
first tourney, and his Glory is 7. Although that's because most of his
fights other than the first tourney were just challenge fights. Usually it
has been my experience that most fights with world warriors would be
unofficial. As for money for tourney fights, depends on the venue, and who
is fighting, also, I would give out enough money to make it worth the
    fighters' while.

running a campaign set in an alternate demention where Bison rules America
and the Street Fighters are scattered across the globe. Bison's second in

(a character I created). Well, I'd like to know if anyone has stats for
Iori Yagami, Vice, and Mature from King of Fighters. I need them for my

Ah, a little late, but better than not at all.
Sha Long looked around at his surroudings. Nice. But he'd seen far
better in the thousands of years he had been around. Still, the tournament
building, part cathedral and part cave was incredible, and was one of the
most beautiful places he would have the pleasure to fight in.
Long's eyes flashed and his loose white suit and robe flowed as he looked
at the fighters. They were most impressive. Some of them seemed to be in as
good or better readiness and skill to fight as he. Prehaps if he would have
applied himself as much he would be the greatest champion in the world now.
ut when you live for thousands of years, what's the rush, after all? With
any luck he'd still be fighting after these fellows were long gone. He
smiled and waited. He would not challenge another fighter, it was much more
honorable to accept a fight, although sometimes he made exceptions.
Besides, dragons didn't start fights. They finished them.

those martial arts. . . . But there are 100's of thousands of different
martial arts in this world. But Those two martial arts don't even sound like
they exist, as far as origin of names... So I don't know... but My
proffesional opinion is that they no, they don't exist...

Subject: Ages challenges: Sha Long Vs Rebellion.
Sha Long (pronounced Shay-Long) Player: J. Scott Pittman Style: Kung Fu Country: China ?

Appearance: Sha Long appears as an old man, with a receding hairline and long hair that drapes down his back. His narrow eyes seem bright and wise. He wears a long robe that almost completely hides his body, but what does show of his arms and hands are covered with tatoos of some ancient language. He stands firmly on his white-shoed feet and bows deeply.

Quote before fight: "I have heard of you, and know of you. Face me to find if you are indeed a warrior."

                          Vs

Rebellion Player: Chris Hoffmann Style: Special Forces Country: Japan.

Appearance: The first thing you notice about Rebellion is that she is perhapse
the most incredibly beautiful woman that you or anyone has ever seen.  She has
Asian features with long black hair, large almond shaped green eyes, olive skin
and a better body than Chun-Li and Rose put together.  She looks to be in her
late teens or early twenties but is acutally almost fifty years old due to
    retardation of the ageing process.

The second thing you notice is that she is well over ten feet tall.

If you stuck around long enough to notice anything else, you see that she
favors a sand colored tunic with a hood and face wrap to let her blend into the
desert better.  During the rare times when she's feeling nostalgic, she'll put
on her old military uniform which is an odd cross between the styles of the
Japanese Self-Defense force and Israel's Mossad of the twentieth century.

Quote before fight: "The essence of victory is not strength, or skill, or even
    speed.  It is
not your weapons, your numbers, your training, your tactics or your strategies
or any of the thousand thousand variables strategists have over the millenia
claimed to be the end all of victory.

It is the ability to survive.  If you can endure the time it takes to learn how
to beat your enemy, then you will win.  If you refuse to stay down, no matter
how hard your enemy drives your face into the rocks, no matter how you body
screams out for relief, you can not loose.  This is what it will take to be
    free."

Arena: Guardian island beach the place is quiet except by the sea noise agaist the rocks.
Fighters are 3 hexes from each other.

Move 1- Sha Long move 3 hexes activate Toughskin and Zen No Mind (PBEM Version) and when he start to make the Lightning Leg for his combo (dizzy) Rebellion abort her attack for a block, and she receives: no damage, no damage, 1 point of damage and Sha Long take some damage from Maka Wara he receive: 1 point of damage, no damage, 1 point of damage.
Move 2- Rebellion make a Lightning Leg but Sha Long use a block with Toughskin for his combo (dizzy) and Sha Long receive: no damage, a Critical Failure!!! And Rebellion loss her balance with this she receive a penalty in the next turn.
Move 3- Sha Long note Rebellion mistake and continue his plan he make a Dragon Kick use Zen No Mind (PBEM Version) with Toughskin and Rebellion try to escape using a Backflip Kick but is too slow and receive the Dragon Kick because Sha Long is near enought and don´t need to move the manuver hit twice (I´m in doubt in this one... is a test fight if someone known the exact description of a Dragon Kick just give a shoot about it ?), and Rebellion receive: 4 points of damage and 5 points of damage, Rebellion suffer a knockback 1 hex and is dizzy!!!
Move 4- Sha Long see his dizzy opponent and place his hands together and concentrate while Rebellion try to recover from stun.
Move 5- Rebellion recover from stun and move hex to make a Lightning Leg and Sha Long Toughskin and abort his attack for a block and he receive: 1 point of damage, no damage and 1 point of damage.
Move 6- Sha Long make a Lightning Leg for his combo (dizzy), use Zen No Mind (PBEM Version) with Toughskin and Rebellion block and receive: no damage, no damage and no damage... and Sha Long take some damage from Maka Wara of Rebellion and he receives: 1 point of damage, 2 points of damage and no damage.
Move 7- Rebellion make a Double Hit Kick for her combo (dizzy) and Sha Long abort his action and make a block and use toughskin he receive: 1 point of damage and no damage.
Move 8- Rebellion make a Lightning Leg and Sha Long abort his action and make a block and use toughskin he receive: 1 point of damage, 1 point of damage and no damage.
Move 9- Rebellion retreat 4 hexes and Sha Long block using Toughskin.
Move 10- Sha Long move 3 hexes and try to make a Lightning Leg (end of willpower cannot use combo) using Zen No Mind with Toughskin but Rebellion is more faster and hit a Foot Sweep and Sha Long receives: 4 points of damage and suffer a knockdown, Sha Long quickly stand up in this turn.
Move 11- Sha Long stand up and try to make a Double Hit Kick but Rebellion is more faster and make a Double Hit Kick for combo (dizzy) and Sha Long receives: 3 point of damage and 3 points of damage and Sha Long hit his Double Hit Kick and Rebellion receive: 4 points of damage, 2 points of damage and Rebellion fall over her knees to colapse on the ground and is knockout. Sha Long wins by knockout.

Sha Long Signature: Sha Long's eyes glow red and smoke curls from his nostrils, but he stands, palms together, in peace. "True power comes from within. Be at peace and you will find this truth. Let it serve you as it has done me this day."

After the battle a shadow appear from the forest and a uniform man appear is the nazi officer Voss he speak a mix of languages a english - german speach:

Colonel Ernest Voss: - Impressive freund you show some resistence here... Voss give a quick look to defeated Rebellion, Ya... is like I thought size don´t win battles, and what you waiting for? You defeat her... You could just throw her body at sea and... but he don´t finish his speach Sha Long like every Shaoling Monk don´t agree with him and Voss can see this in Sha Long glowing red eyes.
Colonel Ernest Voss: - I´m not here to make friends, just to watch but after all I see here humph... (a sarcastic smile appear) I don´t wait troubles. Lebe wohl your schicksal is  well traced but nevermind now rest you need your "forces" (another sarcastic smile) to the other fights and after this words Voss turn back and start to leave the place.

Translation of underline words: German to english.
    Freund - Friend
    Ya - Yes
    Lebe wohl - farewell
    Schicksal - fate

We in the grand campaign that was run in Trondheim, Norway for some years ago we had a basic maneuer called Evasion:

    speed: +3
    Damage: None
    Move: +0

    System:
If fighter has any move left when hit. Roll contested rolls, dex+athlics Vs.opponents Dex+Technique. to avoid being hit..
